I think this dungeon is incredibly non-standard in the best way. Almost feels to me like a Raid-Dungeon hybrid. The mechanics were excellent, the bosses were and ARE challenging compared to all the other dungeon bosses. Even down to the transition encounters, they were long, which to me added to the whole journey feel. The final boss arena sets a new bar for dungeon bosses entirely, and the amount of mechanics its able to take advantage of in one fight reminds me of some of my favorite raid encounters. This is and may always be my favorite dungeon. I think this dungeon has set a new standard for what we can come to expect from dungeon content, and I hope bungie continues to up the ante in 2 seasons when we get the next one.
The mechanics are very simple find a symbol, dunk it boss damage it feels like a Dungeon with a very very long jump puzzle the bosses aren't challenging they just have a lot of health not sure what you mean by set a new standard its literally the same as every other dungeon. i do like the theme & the armour looks good the weapons look crap & a boring selection i'll just be farming the final boss for the exotic and be done with this dungeon.

Bosses have more hp than nezarec (a fucking 6 man final raid boss), ads spawn in far too many numbers too often, and 1-2 transition feels like a whole ass main encounter because of how long they are, but don't give any rewards Dungeon is by far the coolest they've made, and the armor looks great, weapons are good too, but whoever balanced the ad spawns and boss hp needs to be fired immediately
It would be nice if they did more dungeons and raids without symbols in it. Which is something I can’t do. ADHD makes symbols and on the spot direction impossible for me :/
@@fadeddragon123 as someone with fairly active ADHD, I sorta get what you mean. I associate the symbols with letters. And if 2 symbols look like one letter, I name it similarly (ie: there are 2 hive runes that look like the letter X. One uses lines, and the other uses dots. The one using lines I call X, the one using dots I call Etch, it sounds similar to X and it helps me to tie them to something familiar) another strategy I used for second encounter was to remember where the rune locations were by their proximity to one another. X and Etch are right next to eachother, and the one that looks like I to me is right next to the both of them, etc etc. I plot my course out before I dive into the water so I can have a fluid run and have less risk of the boss cracking my pressure tank.
Disruption break on the glaive might be a sleeper pick for the 3rd column if it increases the melee damage by the 50 percent it does kinetic weapons. Also that rocket seems insane, maybe the best in the game.
I got the new rocket launcher with Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch... its not bad. Killing enough adds will get 3 in the mag and finishing an enemy with store an instant reload, for 4 shots, as you said. And you can essily fire all 4 during the 10 second window.
Cold confort with envious assassin can shoot 5 rockets in a row, don’t forget the henter dodge that reloads your weapon. And if you count the mod that reloads a weapon on a finisher, them you can shoot 6

Without enchanced incandescent the smg is not as good as calus mini tool. Only the stasis wave frame is kinda worth getting, the other weapons are all mid

Rocket's half decent but if you want something stasis use bump in the night. If you want raw damage. Apex Predator. Smg. PvP weapon irrelevant. glaive? who uses a glaive that isn't craftable? Stasis wave-frame grenade launcher? Could've been as good as forbearance. If not better due to the fact that it's stasis so it could get chill clip and recon if bungie wanted this weapon to be competitive. Shit. It's nothing more than the wave frame grenade launcher we got last season. Just frosty. With less good perks.

With this rocket, you can shoot 5 rockets off in a row with strand equipped(this rocket fits perfectly into some strand warlock dps setups), the new smg is amazing in pvp but you can’t sleep on it with incandescent even though it’s not as good as mini tools incandescent when enhanced, the stasis wave frame with unrelenting and redirection is going to be crazy for ad clear on harder content, glaive is a glaive but if disruption break gives the melee a 50% bump in dmg if it’s kinetic, then it’s probably best glaive in the game
@@sandburgbilly381 Apex predator is still better than this rocket by a mile. Most people use reconstruction. Which is autoloading but doesn't get interrupted if you swap to the weapon. This rocket only has envious assassin which is nice for the start of damage then you slow down drastically once you fire those 2-4 rockets. Apex if craftable. so access to enhanced reconstruction. You are able to hot swap better with apex predator than this rocket. Your weapon auto-reloads with a almost constant 35% damage buff. This rocket you have to manually reload after 4 rockets then you only have 1 in the mag. Which indirectly messes up bait and switch. since you are REQUIRED to fire off 1 rocket before Bait and switch is procked so you have to slow down damage even more to be able to get some bait and switch damage. which fucks a lot of dps setups since most people prefer to be doing damage with their other weapons while their rocket is reloading. Those 4 rockets will be shot within 10 seconds of the boss fight and you normally have 30 seconds so you now have slowed down in your overall dps due to being slowed by reloads compared to someone with recon. Apex is better since most people use recon. Yes slideways is on the rocket but that's niche. Recon is the go-to and people do crazy damage with recon. I haven't seen someone use slideways yet. it's always been recon. Which is the god-roll for non-gfuel snorting gamers.

Unless the aggressive frames do more damage flatout and it's able to do more damage reloading, than the other rocket hot swapping to other damage sources while your weapon is reloading. This is just another bump in the night with some good perks. Doesn't make it better than apex.

The dungeon rocket already has a really good reload stat which makes it really easy to continue to fire off rockets and you could always use a finisher mid dps if you really need to(explicator and caretaker are like perfect fights for that but you could do that on nez as well). Both rockets are usable just depends on which one you like more, honestly enhanced reconstruction won’t make that much of s difference in actual gameplay, just on paper. As long as the gun has a good reload and dmg perk that’s all that matters.
I wouldn’t have been as disappointed in this dungeon if the solo experience wasn’t so miserable if you want to run anything except solar. Add spam getting more and more obnoxious seems to be a running theme this season, but Ghosts is the pinnacle of the infection
Based on everything I’ve seen, I’m very excited to get into this Dungeon on Monday (dad gamer and it’s my parenting weekend with my little light). Legit excited to get everything in this dungeon, as I’m a big fan of all the weapon types and the armor is like you said, AMAZING. BTW, is it me or does the Warlock helmet give Sauron vibes? That’s enough for me to play something that isn’t my Titan for the first time this year lmao.
If enchanted incandescent wasn’t in the picture then I would agree that No Survivors is the best solar smg, but the main thing that enchanted provides is both how long scorch last, but also how long enemies are flinched by the scorch, so I necessarily agree that it’s better than mini tool.
Aside from the tankest bosses in the game by far, this is definitely the best dungeon we have gotten by far. Weapons are god tier Armor is stunning Narrative and story is jaw-dropping Mechanics are slightly raid-like As the biggest dungeon lover, this has dethroned Duality as the best Dungeon in the game by far! You can’t change my mind!!!
Wouldn’t say weapons are god tier duality still offers the best weapon hands down and the weapon design itself is still the most unique looking one. The only redeeming quality of the dungeon is probably the armour set itself

Ghost’s weapons are slightly behind it because, The rocket dethrones Hothead for being the best, though doesn’t beat Apex Predator. The Smg dethrones Calus Mini Tool. And the Wave Frame is the first Stasis special with demo. If there wasn’t a glaive and the weapons looked better, this dungeon could have dethrone Duality for most people. But the narrative gives it the edge over Duality for me.
@@awildjackraby Weapons, Duality wins. But Ghost is right behind it, if it weren’t for the looks of weapons and there being a glaive. Narratively, Ghost wins. Oryx has a way more story impact than Calus, even after joining the Witness. (Kinda bias though since I felt that the Hive had the best backstory than the other alien races) Mechanics in both are slightly equal, but Ghost had a bit more raid-like mechanics in the Final Boss encounter which gave it an edge over Duality’s bells. Not to mention the bells could sometimes kill you when you entered the Nightmare realm back then.
My friends and I went in completely blind yesterday and had an absolute blast figuring out and downing the first two encounters (holy mega ad-clear batman O_O) and getting up to the third before we had to log off. We are hoping to finish it before reset. The Legendary weapons are great, the armor is phenomenal, and I can't wait to get that new Exotic Trace Rifle at some point.
The people complaining about the dungeon are just the people who don't care about quality and just care about how fast they can well skate skip through it to get loot, it's probably the best dungeon in every way, it's truly a fantastic piece of content
@@alejandrocarralero2826 I mean jumping puzzle is drawn out I have no problem with the underwater mechanic it’s just that it’s very different and doesn’t feel too right sometimes that jumping puzzle/downtime to get through the first boss is way too long I like the scenery and aesthetic at first but after a while it can get way too drawn out. Also no one is complaining not being able to well skate if you have a problem with well skating it’s probably skill issue tbh

Duality is still my number once dungeon just because the loot is a bit better and the transitions were smoother and felt like a more complete dungeon. But man….. seeing oryx’s corpse and him tryna get resurrected had me and my fireteam literally scream. Like imagine there was an alternative version in the master dungeon where oryx does get revived but only partially and we have to combine kings falls mechanics with the dungeons in order to put him down once and for all. And that new trace rifile exotic will literally be my favourite exotic in the game for my strand titan once I get it to drop
@@r3mxd naaaahh only unforgiven is that insane, lingering dread is useless compared to riptide, stormchaser was OP when it was released but they balanced it, new purpose is useless because disparity came out and even then the 15% less damage compared to kinetic type primaries, Epicurean is just filler, and fixed odds is for sure the best high impact solar but high impact frames aren’t as good anyways. This dungeon added a stasis wave frame making it like the first special ad clear weapon in the primary slot other than witherhoard, if only it had chill clip. The SMG is pretty on par with calus mini tool especially for those who missed Haunted, it’s better because of demo but worse because of no enhanced incandescent. The glaive is a new archetype but it’s just a second rate judgment of kelgorath, maybe the rapid fire could be used with replenishing aegis, the rocket is dope because it has bait and switch and it’s a knockoff bump in the night for those who didn’t get it, but the third column perks are shit. And the exotic for the new dungeon is way better than heart shadow, especially being the first primary trace rifle. Overall I’d say they’re on par based on the current meta, the new dungeon has some more unique stuff but a lot of it is just second rate versions of craftable seasonable weapons last year
Duality’s loot is objectively not better than Ghosts… did you watch the video? Ghosts drops a rocket launcher that can launch FOUR ROCKETS IN A ROW and can be fired with BAIT AND SWITCH proc’ed. This will be the strongest burst damage DPS weapon in the game. Also don’t sleep on the wave frame GL. It is so spicy with demo and redirection. And the fact that it can be equipped in the kinetic slot and free up your energy slot is bananas. The double wave frame GL power fantasy is finally possible.
i got a well rounded incandescent smg that im happy with but the mini tool has enhanced incandescent so im not sure if i woudl ever switch, even if i had demo on it.
i disagree with a lot here. The wave frame, Pacific Epitaph, should be used in a different way than you're talking about. When i saw the gun, i knew it was a gyrfalcon's weapon through and through. I'd recommend LFG and Harmony on it. Gyrfalcon primarily slays out by using a void SMG or a void LMG, so harmony should pretty much always be ready to go. LFG means it combos easily with your void ammo finder for your LMG. No survivor's is an energy slot Immortal, and should be used as such. Rangefinder and Target lock demolish people in PvP. for PvE your reccomendation is fine. Cold Comfort has no doubts about its best roll, and talking about it like it has options kinda makes me laugh. Envious and B&S are easily the best perks on the gun. B&S outdamages Explosive Light with 4 rockets minimum, and the discrepancy only grows from their. Chill Clip on this rocket feels like denying it damage potential, and i'd recommend that only if you dont have a bump in the night. Glaives are glaives.
I feel like the GL with demo and pugilist is a rlly good shout. The number of ads you already kill with wave frames with the amount of ability regen could make some of the ability spam builds we have even crazier.
The way the AI bungie system Makes you do tasks over and over again to see how players try to get the 1% exotic tracer gun The same with spire of the watcher exotic bow

Got an envious/collective action roll on the rocket this weekend. I dropped 3 in my first 3 drops, so I'm done farming that one I guess😂 I think that one is good enough🤷
Besides the massive health pool of the final boss in addition of having to manually having to strip the shield, and the long set up for the solo and especially the solo flawless. Its a great dungeon. But I also recognize that the number of people soloing and those going for solo flawless is a small crowd, and that in a team of 3 or even 2 getting to dmg is much faster and dmg is much better and the health pool feels good. I would say going forward if they do continue to expect solos and solo flawless that they will need to tune it so that if you do survive 4-5 dmg phases that you can kill the boss. More than 6 phasing a boss is a slog and less feeling like an accomplishment then booking 2-3 hours to do it once you know you can survive.
Extremely dissapointed with the perk selection this dungeon when you have the last wish weapons, specially dissapointed with the grenade launcher, really hoping it had chill clip
can i use backup mag to get 30 rounds in the smg? sub 30 rounds is kind of a deal breaker. also the weapons look like they should have been neomuna weapons

I think too many people put more value on Enhanced Incandescent than it deserves Being able to have Demo absolutely does more for you than Enhanced Incan imo
@@demonjoe But does it do more than enhanced incandescent and enhanced threat detector/enhanced unrelenting? I think it comes down to the build you are using more than just demo = better. Majority of my solar builds demo is redundant, especially on my warlock. Not saying demo is bad by any stretch, still probably the best perk for the 3rd column of any weapon, but I don't think it's quite that black and white either. Unrelenting saves my ass often lol.
Who also thought that we will get Omolon armor for this dungeon? I personally even excepted False promises and Cold denial to make a return similar to seraph weapons Glad that neither of my predictions came true
I think calus stays fire god till bungie makes all non craftable weapons enhancable bc enhanced incandecent is just so good. Still def going for this tho.
It probably wouldn’t be good anyhow. By the time you have to finish a reload the slow stacks will have started to decrease and you wouldn’t get a freeze off + I don’t think there’d ever be chill clip on a wave frame because you’d never get it to proc in the first place as it requires a direct hit (the wave is not a direct hit only the action grenade impact you shoot)

I love how eerie this dungeon feels. Seeing Oryx at the bottom of the ocean and the cracks on the sea bed give off Pacific Rim vibes with the Breach.

If there wasn’t a glaive and the weapons looked better, this dungeon could have dethrone Duality for most people. But the narrative gives it the edge over Duality for me.

Narratively, Ghost wins. Oryx has a way more story impact than Calus, even after joining the Witness. (Kinda bias though since I felt that the Hive had the best backstory than the other alien races)
Mechanics in both are slightly equal, but Ghost had a bit more raid-like mechanics in the Final Boss encounter which gave it an edge over Duality’s bells. Not to mention the bells could sometimes kill you when you entered the Nightmare realm back then.
I truly appreciate your pve opinions. So many channels are pvp, which is fine, but pve is right up my alley
My friends and I went in completely blind yesterday and had an absolute blast figuring out and downing the first two encounters (holy mega ad-clear batman O_O) and getting up to the third before we had to log off. We are hoping to finish it before reset. The Legendary weapons are great, the armor is phenomenal, and I can't wait to get that new Exotic Trace Rifle at some point.
Just got a Chill Clip + Envious Assassin Roll on my Rocket Launcher.
Couldn't be happier. It feels awesome to use.
The people complaining about the dungeon are just the people who don't care about quality and just care about how fast they can well skate skip through it to get loot, it's probably the best dungeon in every way, it's truly a fantastic piece of content
People are complaining mostly about the health of the bosses

@@alejandrocarralero2826 I mean jumping puzzle is drawn out I have no problem with the underwater mechanic it’s just that it’s very different and doesn’t feel too right sometimes that jumping puzzle/downtime to get through the first boss is way too long I like the scenery and aesthetic at first but after a while it can get way too drawn out. Also no one is complaining not being able to well skate if you have a problem with well skating it’s probably skill issue tbh
@@rtrichar underwater mechanic is fine. It’s nice to have a different kind of danger for once than purely damage. And frankly it’s not that hard to get through.
Duality is still my number once dungeon just because the loot is a bit better and the transitions were smoother and felt like a more complete dungeon.
But man….. seeing oryx’s corpse and him tryna get resurrected had me and my fireteam literally scream.
Like imagine there was an alternative version in the master dungeon where oryx does get revived but only partially and we have to combine kings falls mechanics with the dungeons in order to put him down once and for all.
And that new trace rifile exotic will literally be my favourite exotic in the game for my strand titan once I get it to drop
I'm still not sure which is my favorite of these two, ghost has the best armor like ever, but duality has some damn good weapons

@@r3mxd naaaahh only unforgiven is that insane, lingering dread is useless compared to riptide, stormchaser was OP when it was released but they balanced it, new purpose is useless because disparity came out and even then the 15% less damage compared to kinetic type primaries, Epicurean is just filler, and fixed odds is for sure the best high impact solar but high impact frames aren’t as good anyways. This dungeon added a stasis wave frame making it like the first special ad clear weapon in the primary slot other than witherhoard, if only it had chill clip. The SMG is pretty on par with calus mini tool especially for those who missed Haunted, it’s better because of demo but worse because of no enhanced incandescent. The glaive is a new archetype but it’s just a second rate judgment of kelgorath, maybe the rapid fire could be used with replenishing aegis, the rocket is dope because it has bait and switch and it’s a knockoff bump in the night for those who didn’t get it, but the third column perks are shit. And the exotic for the new dungeon is way better than heart shadow, especially being the first primary trace rifle. Overall I’d say they’re on par based on the current meta, the new dungeon has some more unique stuff but a lot of it is just second rate versions of craftable seasonable weapons last year
Duality’s loot is objectively not better than Ghosts… did you watch the video?
Ghosts drops a rocket launcher that can launch FOUR ROCKETS IN A ROW and can be fired with BAIT AND SWITCH proc’ed. This will be the strongest burst damage DPS weapon in the game.
Also don’t sleep on the wave frame GL. It is so spicy with demo and redirection. And the fact that it can be equipped in the kinetic slot and free up your energy slot is bananas. The double wave frame GL power fantasy is finally possible.

i got a well rounded incandescent smg that im happy with but the mini tool has enhanced incandescent so im not sure if i woudl ever switch, even if i had demo on it.
i disagree with a lot here. The wave frame, Pacific Epitaph, should be used in a different way than you're talking about. When i saw the gun, i knew it was a gyrfalcon's weapon through and through. I'd recommend LFG and Harmony on it. Gyrfalcon primarily slays out by using a void SMG or a void LMG, so harmony should pretty much always be ready to go. LFG means it combos easily with your void ammo finder for your LMG.
No survivor's is an energy slot Immortal, and should be used as such. Rangefinder and Target lock demolish people in PvP. for PvE your reccomendation is fine.
Cold Comfort has no doubts about its best roll, and talking about it like it has options kinda makes me laugh. Envious and B&S are easily the best perks on the gun. B&S outdamages Explosive Light with 4 rockets minimum, and the discrepancy only grows from their. Chill Clip on this rocket feels like denying it damage potential, and i'd recommend that only if you dont have a bump in the night.

I feel like the GL with demo and pugilist is a rlly good shout. The number of ads you already kill with wave frames with the amount of ability regen could make some of the ability spam builds we have even crazier.

Imo this dungeon is good but i like other better wbcsue fo jsut how aesthetic and gorgiosu they were mauic visuals evruthijg prochecy and grasp and watcher all have a vibe to them and i love them. This is good but just doesnt fele the same as those to me. The just pure fuj dungeons.

Besides the massive health pool of the final boss in addition of having to manually having to strip the shield, and the long set up for the solo and especially the solo flawless. Its a great dungeon. But I also recognize that the number of people soloing and those going for solo flawless is a small crowd, and that in a team of 3 or even 2 getting to dmg is much faster and dmg is much better and the health pool feels good.
I would say going forward if they do continue to expect solos and solo flawless that they will need to tune it so that if you do survive 4-5 dmg phases that you can kill the boss. More than 6 phasing a boss is a slog and less feeling like an accomplishment then booking 2-3 hours to do it once you know you can survive.
If only the weapons actually looked as cool as the armor, this would have been a 10/10 dungeon for me😮💨

I managed to land No Survivors with Demo and Pugilist. I think thats perfect for pve content as far as ability up time.
Extremely dissapointed with the perk selection this dungeon when you have the last wish weapons, specially dissapointed with the grenade launcher, really hoping it had chill clip
can i use backup mag to get 30 rounds in the smg? sub 30 rounds is kind of a deal breaker. also the weapons look like they should have been neomuna weapons

@@demonjoe But does it do more than enhanced incandescent and enhanced threat detector/enhanced unrelenting? I think it comes down to the build you are using more than just demo = better. Majority of my solar builds demo is redundant, especially on my warlock. Not saying demo is bad by any stretch, still probably the best perk for the 3rd column of any weapon, but I don't think it's quite that black and white either. Unrelenting saves my ass often lol.

It probably wouldn’t be good anyhow. By the time you have to finish a reload the slow stacks will have started to decrease and you wouldn’t get a freeze off + I don’t think there’d ever be chill clip on a wave frame because you’d never get it to proc in the first place as it requires a direct hit (the wave is not a direct hit only the action grenade impact you shoot)

Honestly kinda disappointing that there’s only 5 total weapons in this dungeon.
Duality and Spire also only had four new guns, but filled the missing space with two other guns (Epicurean, Fixed Odds, Seventh Seraph Auto/HC)
