I have same issue. I checked the guage by giving 1.5 volt with a battery. Needle went to top slowly. Had a doubt if we can give 12v direct. Doubt rectified. Thank you.

I have a Maruti Alto Lxi 2008 model and has done only about 6000 km so far and is in a good condition. Recently the tempereture gauge in the cluster started showing faulty temp. The local work shop could not fix it. The temp with the engine off stays at mid point of the gauge instead of at ":C". With the engine running the needle goes beyond "H". , no abnormal engine signal in the cluster and cooilant level maintains., no leaks observed. Kindly advise. Also pl let me know the locations of thermal sensor and thermostat in Alto Lxi.

What I think , If voltage is ok , Sensor is also working 5in.Wiring is also 5in,Then what I feel there is improper Ground (May be due to rusting )at Meter console.
After cleaning Ground terminals at Meter console It should work properly.
This is my prediction.

Meri car me conventional lpg kit 22000 km chalne ke baad lagaya tha. Uske baad 43000 km par kit hata dia. Ab P0420 dtc aa raha hai. Company walo ne kaha ki lpg se catalytic convertor kharab ho gya hai. Pehle oxygen sensor change karenge uske baad catalytic converter. Maine dono oxygen sensor change kar diye phir bhi dtc aa raha hai. Ab catalytic converter change karna chahiye ya nhi. Agar kisi dusri problem se dtc aa raha h to kaise pata chalega. Yaha par koi bhi mechanic diagnose nhi kar pa raha hai. Car chalne me bilkul sahi h.

Sir, ground ka fault hai. Aapne agar notice kiya ho kal ki video me to ek ground mujhe check karna chahiye tha jo ki maine nahin kiya. Bahut hi chhota sa fault hai par kal aapko logic ke saath me video me dikhata hu. 😊👍
