Thank you for your response. Practice is the key. Attempt as many questions as possible & mock exams too. This will ensure speed with accuracy. Good luck for your exam👍

thank you for this video Jenin, i would like to ask why the profit has to be a multiple of both 5 and 10? why couldn't it be $212 for instance? technically it can be divisible by 5 and 10 but would leave remainders.
are you saying that we need the burgers and pizzas to be produced in full units as we wont revieve the contribution for half a pizza or burger if we only produced half?
Good question! There is no problem in assuming a profit of $212. The profit equation will be 10x + 5y = 212. So when x = 0, y = 42.4 and when y= 0, x= 21.2. So the 2 points that you will be plotting is (0, 42.4) and (21.2, 0). When you plot these points you will get the very same slant for the profit line as all profit lines run parallel to each other. Your profit line will be closer to the origin as the profit assumed is lower. Obviously you cannot manufacture half burgers and half pizzas - but as this is an intermediate step and not the final answer it is ok. The only intention of drawing the profit line is to get its slant and the reason for assuming a profit which is a multiple of 5 and 10 is to get whole numbers, which will be easier for you to plot in the graph. Hope it is clear.
Dear Jenin, i have a question. If there is a 2 mark question and i have to select two correct answers but I select only one correct (or only one from two selected by me is correct) do I get 1 mark at least or I dont get a mark at all?
Thank you very much! Currently studying ACCA PM, this has helped me understand what the ISO contribution line actually is.
@@Dragotastic Glad this was informative

Hi... Ma'am, in 1:46, you say that Contribution = Fixed cost - Profit, is the actual formula Contribution = Fixed cost + Profit??
I guess I have said, Contribution - fixed cost = profit.
@@JeninMulakkan Oh... Yea.... That was my mistake.... Thank you so much Ma'am

If it's a selection that you have to make, i presume you will not be awarded any marks, unless both the selections are made correctly
