im a support player and honestly i prefer 6v6. sure there's less room for me to dps, but there's also less room for the other team to have a hitscan go on a random flank and two shot me without getting punished. ill gladly accept the less room for me to dps when it means the other teams DPS dont get to do whatever they want
Same, I'm a Lucio one-trick and this is the most fun I've had in game for literal years. I get to boop tanks again, I still have 22 dmg per projectile, I have not one, but two potential dive tanks to help me bully widow and ana players, AND I get to farm my ult even faster because I have a whole other tank to heal. Somehow Blizzard gave me 6v6 without absolutely ruining my boy. It is funny seeing people using terms like "main/flex support" again too, even if they're usually using them incorrectly (shoutout to the guy today who told me to swap off Lucio to a "main healer" when Lucio is literally the definition of a "main support")
Hog Doom can actually be really nasty if it’s played right😭 they’re both pretty self sufficient (hog with breather and doom with his mobility to get health packs) if you just play them as big dps with another dps and a support (doom up front Hog in the back) you jsut get so much damage it’s crazy
I've seen so much stuff win just because the other team is playing equally or more stupid, and people don't understand how to counterswap anymore without the one easy target to counterswap. That's not necessarily a bad thing, in fact it's a very good thing (counterswapping needed to be more difficult) but that doesn't mean that a comp is good just because it can win. Hog is D tier, and he's only that high because of the early pick potential of hook and how important that is to 6v6. If a hog isn't hitting hooks, he's just a big ball of ult charge and no real threat to the enemy. But still, I've seen Hog and Ball torture work on the 6v6 patch, and they are probably the two worst tanks in the patch. Any combination of heroes *can* win, just don't fall victim to positivity bias or ignore the fact that you might have rolled the enemy team even harder with smarter picks. There are still situations where bad tanks are smart picks, they are just rare. Doom is very good in this patch though from what I've seen.
Why does it seem like emongg already knows they won’t bring back 6v6 permanently, i mean he already has connections w the devs and he’s hid information from us in the past
not sure what information you're referring to when you say he's hid information. if you mean when he didn't reveal that he worked on a creator patch, for instance, that was probably covered by a non disclosure agreement he signed with blizzard so they would be able to control when information was released to the player base and is an industry standard practice. he would have been in legal trouble for breach of contract (an NDA is just a type of contract). he knows Gavin and Gavin shows up in chat a lot but emongg's not one of the creators who regularly communicates formally with the devs or would have any exclusive knowledge. if he seems like he knows 6v6 isn't coming back permanently, it's because 5v5 makes more sense for the game beyond just balance issues (queue times etc). 6v6 doesn't make sense for it anymore based on the way the new heroes have been designed. whether that's a bad thing is entirely a preference thing. you're allowed to feel it's bad just like I'm allowed to feel it's good. neither of us are wrong.

It does actually work, but it requires you to NOT be looking straight up, you need to look upwards at like a 45-60 degree angle, because the spikes fall diagonally, not vertically. I can assure you, though, as someone who tested it after Hazard's release to see if it got changed, it absolutely does work, it's just incredibly counterintuitive. The angle can also change slightly depending what tank you're playing (Orisa and Sig, for example) due to the differently sized hitboxes. Oh, you can also use Mauga's cage to avoid it if you hug the edges. An absolutely terrible ult-trade, but it's an option.
