- Save money on junk hose clamps that eventuality fail. This is a very cheap and easy tool that makes secure connections on hose and tubing with just wire. It's made with a clevis fork and a handle. A very easy tool build that can be done for free if you have parts laying around.
Similar to the clamptite tool.

I'm having a bit if a challenge sourcing exactly what you modified originally to make this tool. I've been looking at different shackles but can't seem to figure out what to buy.

Awesome. Only issue i see i is that most automotive applications are going to be in tight spaces that leave u no choice but to use a standard hose clamp .

That wouldn't work. You could just wrap the excess wire I cut off and then reuse it I suppose
You re-use these clamps the same way you re-use single or double ear clamps - put a new one on. A piece of wire is many times cheaper than a re-usable worm clamp, and doesn't have the huge protrusion which can be a pain for air hoses and such. Although the way the one in the vid was finished, with the wire sticking up ready to impale a hand or finger, was not ideal as an example for simpler minds.

It is sold on line, ebay, amazon etc but comes at a price. You can easily make one from a piece of bar, 10mm round rod and will involve cutting, bending, de-burring, drilling and welding. And if you want painting.

Looks like a good tool but wouldn't trust what u just did. U Def didn't try to tighten that very much.
