My percussion ensemble is doing this piece. When they did a run through in front of all of us I couldn’t help but start crying. Very beautiful and moving piece.
This is one of the few times that bowing the vibraphone adds more than just a gimmick. This is one of the most appropriate and meaningful uses of it I've heard. Nicely done.
