This song. I was in Army basic training at Fort Benning, GA in 2006. We had been training for weeks without contact with anyone. Finally one day we got to call home. Being a young boy at the time, all I wanted to do is call my momma. When I got to the phone and dialed her number she had changed her dial tone, apparently something that could have been done in that time, to this song. I instantly broke down in tears as the song played and there was no answer. She was at work and couldn’t get to the phone. I’m pretty sure the voice mail was just me crying and yelling “mommma!” Still brings me to tears to this day. What a special song. It was her way of reaching out to me and letting me know.

The first time I heard this song was at a wedding reception and they had a projector and I was so concentrated on the screen because my dad use to be a FireFighter EMT before he lost both his legs due to an illness, lets just say that my father is my hero. Don't be sorry for my father, he's a strong man and doesn’t let the little things in life slow him down from being with his family and friends. I listened to this song after seeing the devastation in Joplin, Missouri after the EF-5 tornado that devastated the city on May 22nd, 2011 as I knew from what I was seeing on The Weather Channel that the aforementioned groups were facing a very long and difficult uphill battle in terms of rescue and cleanup efforts.
As I’m serving for the United States Marine Corps, this song reminds me of her. We miss our loved ones back home so much. Bring us home!

This song. I was in Army basic training at Fort Benning, GA in 2006. We had been training for weeks without contact with anyone. Finally one day we got to call home. Being a young boy at the time, all I wanted to do is call my momma. When I got to the phone and dialed her number she had changed her dial tone, apparently something that could have been done in that time, to this song. I instantly broke down in tears as the song played and there was no answer. She was at work and couldn’t get to the phone. I’m pretty sure the voice mail was just me crying and yelling “mommma!” Still brings me to tears to this day. What a special song. It was her way of reaching out to me and letting me know.
