OMG!!! I am *blown away* by the production value for this 'how to play' video. Such commitment to the bit, all while giving the rules in a very easy to understand manner. Kudos!
Just loving this video!! Paula, you’re definitely one of the best, the kids will love learning the game with you. Just received the game, so happy I backed it, looks like a game all of the family will enjoy playing together.
Okay, I can completely understand why everyone is so in love with this game! About to play my first game on BGA and needed to know what to do... Now I'm trying to resist the urge to purchase this game for myself!
Quick question: at the trading post, when you take the field action, do you have to "pay" the fertilizer or water costs when planting or tending? I view this as a bonus and the rules don't state whether you have to pay the associated costs.
The anthropomorphic characters are weird. Like... I don't get why this is a thing at all. It's clearly a game geared more towards teenagers and adults. There's no need for characters other than people. That said, the game looks fantastic and I'm gonna buy it. Damn it! 😂
I agree. I have so many anthropomorphic games that I like but I’m sick of this by now. I’m tired of the infatuation to make animals like people. I think there are enough games like that by now. I personally do not see the problem with using people to do people things! That said, I still am interested in the game just would have been cool to have people doing the farming, you know, like people actually do?
@@coreynoemif3j29 I did buy it and have played it twice since making this comment. It's a very fun game for what it is. Just gotta look past the weird animals. The wife thinks they're cute though so whatever. Someone I was talking to the other day made an interesting point about why this is overly done. It's been speculated that designers do this to avoid pissing off the loud minority of people who demand representation in games while also getting upset that the wrong designers represented the wrong people. Not sure how true that is but it sorta makes sense if so.
Anthropomorphic animals have been in folklore since the beginning of human storytelling, this is nothing new. It's just cute and gives them more character/relatability with less player bias.

Yes! This was such a charming video!

Was that a real wheelbarrow? She must have spent hours sitting there recording this. Must have been really uncomfortable!
