- Hi guys! 😊 Over the past several months, #John15 has been a passage I've turned to again and again - and God has shown me so many beautiful, encouraging truths in the time I've spent studying it! For today's video, I thought it would be cool to compile some of the things I've learned through studying John 15:1-11 specifically (the "I am the vine" passage) and what it means to #Abide in Jesus. You know what I learned about church online youtube, Its dangerous to always skip to different ones. That is because some churches their topics are not in the topic your at. And staying consistant with the same church is good.

*Why to abide:*
1) Abide to bear fruit
2) Abide to have prayers answered
3) Abide to have our joy full ; experience true joy...He cares about our joy!!
*How:*
1) consistently read His word
2) Pray
3) be around things that stir our affections for Jesus (“We are to fill our life with the things that stir our affections for Jesus, and strip those that don’t”).

🛐🙏😭Heavenly Father JesusGod, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"
Sigh, I've been backsliding and have had all these dumb Intrusive thoughts for months and I'm so tired and angry. I wanna abide in him now, thank you for this video. Ily, God bless

I feel you, intrusive thoughts are so horrible, but just know God understands, i’m here to help you draw near to Him.
I suggest fasting this month, weather it be from food, electronics, a hobby, etc, and replace that time with worship, prayer, and reading God’s word. Use this month to create healthy habits and attitudes for the year, let the word of God renew your mind and truly apply what you learn from His word✝️🤍
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”-James 4:8

My Mother was a schoolbus driver Perrysburg,Ohio. We can ABIDE when we turn off all the distractions, its study time hear, listen, feel, understand, the scripture a learning LIFE POWER SOURCE. My Mom used to say to the kids on her bus we got to quiet it down,

While reading through John 15 today in a bible study on the story of humanity and how God designed us, not be isolated, but to be in community with others - I really like the verse where Jesus says, "You are my friends when you do the things that I command." It reminds us that we were chosen by Him. It reminds us that as believers we are friends of Christ, and that through the relationship for Christ we are called to love each other and be in community with each other. It is so inspiring and humbling!

I love how he showed me today that he's the true vine. Not the artificial vines out here in this life. Which confirms all other sources are not true. He will prune those other sources from our lives. 👏 🙌

Thanks for bringing up that "joy" reason for abiding. Therefore, could fruit simply means fruit? I.e. we becoming a really healthy branch that can live to its fullest. Could Jesus simply want us to be set free from the deception of this world by abiding in Him and His word, so that we are no longer slaves, but children of God jumping up and down joyfully, enjoying a relationship with Him?

And It's the responsibility of the Vine to provide the sap,the energy,the vitality to the branch to produce fruits ..
Unless the branch stays into the Vine,then the Life of the Vine will flow ..

I like how it tells how Joy can be re found when maybe its distant from you. I usually read the Bible cover to cover several times a year but some years I spend more time focusing on a particular book and don't get through it as many times. God Bless!
