I had the 120 set of the Polys for drawing and coloring, and had to reorder some. Some colors I needed were out of stock, at my favorite store, so I ordered Dürers instead. I can say, that even if you don't use them wet, they work better in some coloring books than the Polys. (In some books I don't like the Polys at all, especially on very smooth paper). The Dürers are a bit softer and more buttery, I think. They need very little water to dissolve, so you can use them as a great first layer on almost any paper. Then simply shade or color over dry. So you have a much brighter outcome. If someone doesn't have any Polys yet, and would like to have a set, I would definitely recommend the Dürers for coloring. 2 in 1 pencil 😁 Greetings from Germany. 💕
New Subbie! I love your coloring content, you are very talented. I’m just a beginner and planning to give water color pencils a try. Does the book you are swatching in have watercolor paper or is that not necessary for swatching?
Hiiii!!! Welcome to the BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE family!!! 😊 The sketchbook I'm using is not made with watercolor paper but standard sketchbook paper. You can purchase watercolor sketchbooks if you prefer. I just use this one to limit the amount of books I swatch in! Thank you so much for the question and for subbing! 😊💕
