      @@headphone_zone can you please kindly assure me it's safe to purchase a type c 7hz for Motorola edge 30 fusion it doesn't have a jack. Because it says snapdragon sound having dac support which my phone does, or will I get better quality if I buy a dac adaptor with 3.5mm Jack

    • @crczr
      @crczr 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nixenrider3219No. There are just a few type-C options and while they do offer convenience, reality is a lot of them or most of them suck even compared to their 3.5 equivalent.
      Not sure if brands intentionally do that.
      If you're from the US, you may be already aware that Asus ROG and Zenfone Series, and Sony flagships still offer a 3.5 mm jack, so if you're really into music, better switch your phone.
      Or may be look for a used/refurbished LG V60 which was their last phone to have that legendary Hifi Quad DAC.

    I have purchased an entry level DAC AMP from headphonezone which is ifi zen air dac to use with my Sennheiser HD599.
    It changes colour depending on the audio source. Now I haven't been able to test it out because of lack of sample audio sources of different kind like DSD, Flaac with various bit rates. Can you suggest any site to test out this DAC?
    It's currently not being used much as I am currently listening to music using apple music and that headphone through my phone which supports lossless audio.
    Please suggest a streaming service to gainfully utilize the DAC.

    Hi Raghav ji, so happy to discover a channel devoted to audiophile perspective headphones.
    A very short question.
    I have nothing phone 2 which doesn't have a dedicated headphone jack.
    It has a USB C 2.0 port.
    Will the Apple USB C to 3.5mm jack dongle which has an inhuilt good quality DAC & costs just ₹900 work well with the NP2?
    Or will the Oneplus passive dongle costing ₹370 work better with NP2?
    I cannot afford more expensive DACs.
    Once this is sorted out I'll probably buy the acclaimed Moondrop chu 2 IEM's.
    I request a precise response, plz.

    I have a question and I can not find anybody to help me find a solution for this, hopefully you can...
    As you mentioned, once the album is been recorded and is been distributed in digital format such cd, mp3, etc. the album has a specific volume which has never been set as standard, this mean that 1 album will have a different set volume to another and the problem I have is that I have to constantly adjusting the volume everything time I play my music in random...
    Would using a DAC rectify this issue?, as the output will be analogue will the set volume for all tracks be the same?.

    A quick question: on my Samsung S10E phone I can only get the sound via 3.5mm jack, not through USB-C. Would it still make sense to have a DAC or 3.5mm jack on Android to DAC to 3.5mm on headphones will not produce the result?

    • @sayaknandi4304
      @sayaknandi4304 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The inbuilt DAC in devices is usually only present with the 3.5mm jack and not the type c port when a device has both. So in order to listen to music from the type c port on a phone that has a 3.5mm jack, you almost certainly need to use an external DAC. The reason you're not getting the audio output from it is because you must be using a regular type c to 3.5mm converter without a DAC functionality.

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Sony XM5 is a wireless headphone. It wont really make sense to use it with a DAC. Wireless Headphones connect to your phone via Bluetooth which is a digital connection, and the DAC converts the digital to analog signal in the headphone itself. So an external DAC is quite pointless.
      We'd recommend going with a Wired Headphone. There are so many consider. In the same segment as a Sony XM5, the Meze 99 Classics is our top recommendation. It sounds superb along with the IFI Go Link. So that should be your best bet.

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your Mac likely has a built-in DAC (digital-to-analogue converter) that can handle audio output at 96KHz, which is quite good for most purposes. However, if you're looking for the best possible listening experience, especially for high-resolution audio or critical listening, an external DAC can provide even better sound quality and more advanced features. So, while your Mac's DAC is decent, an external DAC can be an excellent upgrade if you're an audiophile or have specific requirements for your audio setup.

      Adding a DAC to your audio setup can definitely enhance your listening experience, regardless of whether you're listening to MP3 or FLAC files. While we haven't tested Deezer specifically, FLAC audio files generally contain more information than MP3 files, resulting in higher audio quality. • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, indeed! Connecting a DAC to your Sennheiser HD headphones can enhance your sound experience significantly. The DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) processes the audio signal more effectively, providing cleaner and more detailed sound. While the quality of your headphones matters, pairing them with a good DAC can reveal nuances in the audio that might not be as pronounced when using the built-in audio of a phone or laptop. It's a great way to unlock the full potential of your headphones and enjoy a richer listening experience.
