I love this scene the most when it comes to the "Hero/Villian gets powers" situation. In almost every movie, they get the powers and it's either just mastered right there on the spot or it's just some BS "we'll have to assume during the course of the film that the Hero/Villain has figured it out." And once it's done it's never brought up again. With Morbius, it's sooo analytical and purposeful, He's taking notes, of everything that has changed. We see him going over the details. The powers and the control or lack thereof, is another character in the film. It's not just paved over and the film goes from there, it helps build the character in front of the audience. It tells the audience that the powers matter just as much as the plot, story, person and the personality. It's not just some throwaway aspect.
I like this movie. I don’t care if anyone else likes it, I enjoyed it. Sure it’s not the greatest movie ever made in the history of cinema, but it was really something fun to watch.
I love how echolocation is done in this film beats the radar effect daredevil has. If you pay attention enough when Morbius is in vampire mode you subtly see soundwaves bouncing off whatever hes near. Dude has his radar constantly active whether he likes it or not. And the use of colors is a nice touch so that way he can really see the source of the noises. Hes literally seeing colored soundwaves.
@JG-jz3wh and the transformation itself is done so subtly that it's mesmerizing to look at. Every time he uses a specific aspect he changes. Like if he's using his smell. His nose morphs. If it's his hearing his ears change. Same with his eyes. And when he's going full throttle his entire face changes into vampire form. I just wish Milo got a better look. I feel like he got the short end of the stick with that. Bc usually the villain is supposed to look better.
@@furionmax7824 yeah true it’s really a nice touch to subtly morph the specific body parts that is being used like you stated and also ye, they should have tried harder with Milo vampiric design. It’s not a god beyond comprehension trash movie, it’s not a good movie but I’ll categorize it as a "bad good movie" it’s has enjoyable bits like the metro scenes, that scene was actually good compared to some MCU actions, it’s was dynamic, fast paced, the effects along Jared orange coloured suit really popped off and I weirdly loved the sound design of the running during that scene.
@JG-jz3wh speaking of Milo. I didn't like how he turned into a villain. He was such a sweet guy and then went full 180 on us. Like not only did he get the short end of the vampire design stick but they turned this sweetheart into a monster. I feel like Morbius should've had someone else be the villain or already establish that Milo was going to do something like that. Subtle hints goes a long way for a twist like this. Some little signs of irritable behavior or something. But they gotta stop saying the whole bat thing was an ass pull. It wasn't. It was hinted many times that Michael was going to eventually learn how to control bats like that.
@@furionmax7824 I agree Milo has a good heart he would have understood why taking the potion 🧪 is not good, they should have taken someone else’s who you could believe that was evil rather than the sudden change and I didn’t know people were complaining about the "ass pull" with the bats, like we literally see him testing his abilities and his fight with Milo was his best opportunity to test it out, folks be dense sometimes 😂 ye I agree with everything you said.
I don't care what anybody says. This movie was good. Don't understand the hate people had about it. This was cool to see! Jared Leto really nailed the character as morbius the living vampire.
As a stand alone movie it was ok. I did not like how rushed everything felt. He more or less was just able to do things he discovered while isolated in his lab, there was no interactions, no discovery. He says he developed Echo location and you see him perform it perfectly. He says he wasn’t able to walk a day ago but despite never having been athletic in his life he suddenly suddenly can do Parcours perfectly. And these are just parts that make his origin story feel rushed. If you look at the grand scale of thus movie it made even less sense. Why was vulture in his universe suddenly ? Why did he agree to hunt spiderman out of nowhere ? While yes the movie wasn’t bad, it wasn’t good either in my personal opinion. I want to point out that this is my opinion. I do not mean to take away yours, just wanted to point out which points i do not like since you didnt understand the hate. While i did not hate it, i did dislike it and left the theatre confused

It just didn't confuse me. And I'm comparing it to the rest of the Marvel universe where everything is so woke and idiotic.
I was a dancer and a gymnast. A runner, horserider and cyclist. A series of side effects from ciprofloxacin I am weak, I limp and I hurt. I cannot tell you the calm and catharsis it brings seeing him get his powers. As fake as it is. It’s so silly
Maybe the the only problems with this movie was the pacing from how much they obviously deleted, and it was annoying no one cared there was an actual vampire, cops just looked at him like “ok cool” then they fought on the street and the people didn’t even look scared
I found a new respect for the actor Matt Smith after his scene in House of the Dragon. He plays Daemon Targareyon. He singlehandedly fought through major odds to slay the Crabfeeder. He was brutal. Impressive, most impressive. House of the Dragon (season 1 episode 3)
I love vampires. But what they did here is a mockery of what a vampire really is. Vampirism is a supernatural phenomenon that can't be explained by science. But yet where we are with Mobius. Well at least it's fiction.
Except vampirism is also fiction... It can be explained by science fiction because it's not real. Therefore, science fiction can make up its own rules for it in that realm of media. Nobody owns the concept of vampirism. You can't just claim it's a certain way and damn everything else just because you like a specific version.
