Father, I live in a world of deception and darkness. Yet, You made me in Your image-spirit, soul, and body. I am delivered from the power of deception, and so I discard every form of dishonesty and lying so that I will be known as one who always speaks the truth. No longer will I allow the passion of my emotions to lead me to sin! Anger (self-anger) will no longer control me and be fuel for revenge, not for even a day. I no longer believe the slanderous accuser, the devil. I am free from his manipulation.
It is only through Your wonderful, amazing grace that I believed in You. Nothing I did could ever have earned so wonderful a salvation, for it is the gracious gift from You that brought me to Christ!
I walk by faith and not by sight. You have removed my guilt from me the same way a loving father feels toward his children, and that’s but a sample of Your tender feelings toward me, Your beloved child, who now lives in awe of You.
You know all about me-inside and out-and You are mindful that I am made from dust. I am Yours, and You are mine. It is Christ in me, the hope of glory!
Thank You for giving me the Spirit of Truth who guards me from deception. Thank You for rescuing my soul from death’s fear and drying my eyes of many tears. You keep my feet firmly on the path You have chosen for me, and You strengthen me so that I may please You, my life before You in Your life-giving light!
