There’s a setting the I had to fiddle with. I think it’s the channel. I live in an apartment so I had to do that. It cleared up after messing with it

What about when you plug in the electric cord and doesn’t work but works on batteries? The display all lights up but don’t get voice anymore, just static.

if you arent using the original cord, the aboriginal cord could be incompatible with the radio causing static. this happens when the cord outputs "dirty power"
