I think he was too confident in his mad eye. As Mad eye main, even if I were crazy, I wouldn't use this hunter against Gardener, Thief, Foward and even the Professor. Emma can vault over the wall by her shield, Foward to the perfect rescue, Thief to cancel the most important his skill, Professor to escape the wall trap in case of stuck in.
The thing is dream only play mad eyes, he dedicated the 5 years on this game just by mastering and practicing mad eyes that's why he have a 100% wr up until that match. Dream is the best mad eyes in the world and also he is only playing on 1st round where there's no hunter ban that's why he need to be confident

@@deanerys8785 ofc :), Mad eye is my first hunter i have bought so far. Yup I bought and used him right the time he had released (coa3). I was still new at this game right that time, so mad eye is my random buying. Since then, whenever surs ban Mad Eye, I pick Hell Ember, only 2 of hunter who I main. I also had A badge Mad eye, not S badge bcs i dont have much time to this game. So... I say Dream was just too confident 🙂

the way i screamed when watching this live seeing the mad eyes round one pick
this guy has 100% winrate madeyes until this match, surv full counter pick on him(He will defenitly pick madeyes in round 1 all the game after ,just wait for it)
he always picked mad eyes it's not a surprise
the only surprise is that he didn't win
1:00 this is the most painful thing that can happen, as a mad eyes, if you decided to walk, you need that hit, or you actually done no matter what because you don't even 2-end fase.
Also fight as a walker hunter with slow speed against thief is a pain
If he was gonna chase thief first I think blink to bypass the flashlight would've actually been more useful than the failed excitement attempt. In Eversleeping Mad Eyes can just wall off Forward's route before he picks up anyway so I'm not sure what was Dream's plan here with that Excitement, he only used it once and it was badly timed because he didn't bait out the flywheel prior :/
Survivors did a great job draining the consoles near the kite though
Going against a full team that counters u is painful to watch...
proffessional teams: get destroyed by dream's mad eyes and can only finish a few ciphers

( dont get me wrong they are ofc proffessional asw but not like zhique, gg, wolves etc. teams )
don't much like eversleeping for mad eyes anymore, giant open spaces.. the one sector of map with good console coverage (interior streets) is still pretty open + easily avoided as most ciphers are on the outskirts or defensible, and quite a few of the potential cipher spawns on the map have aaaawful sets of cipher-console pairs, particularly northwest outer cipher
that said certainly hate going up against chars like thief/forward with him, mostly forward though (the excitement was a huge flub and should've just attacked to get the flywheel out)
by the by, this is just what playing a hunter with a built-in hardcounter looks like at top level (@ 'if mad eyes gets a decent buff he automatically wins forever' types) and why bottom tier
