It requires detection (senses) and process (reception senses and thought processes). The type of problem solving you’ve just described is merely one type of experience.

@@sarry__3736 in simple words, he meant "if a leader or someone who claims to know the truth and passes on the wisdom, no one can prove that his truth that he's passing on to other people is actually true or not and lets say we manage to get someone else to back up the claim that its true but now how do we know that this new person knows the truth. this forms an infinite cycle. so all beliefs like religion etc should not be considered as true or false because we just dont know enough, unless you have concrete proof(which is why its a belief not a fact)

The best life advice I've ever gotten is that everyone is right in their own little world.
Not only are they right in there own little worlds but un the whole world since most the things people believe stem from opinions and not objective facts and as you probably know it is impossible to disprove an opinion since you know it's an opinion.

But the knowledge from a click although great it may be. It also leaves a lot out. To search something and to actually go live in that culture is very very different. It doesn't givw you the same lessons.
The best way to learn how to live a good life is through living it. However we choose to live, we'll end up learning _something_ .
And something is better than nothing.

They are equally valid and invalid depending on the situation. You can't answer all of the lifes problems and questions with a single answer.

Every day that passes by makes me realise how close and similar the concepts of "everything" and "nothing" really are.
to understand life means we must first understand ourselves , our cultures in which we live , our history , our future , and the nature of the universe. in the end you will find life is both meaningful and meaningless and all that matters is how you form your own reality as everyone has their own.

Really there's nothing wrong with taking wisdom from what is not necessarily meant to give advice.
In The End we're just like kids, we copy others in order to understand something or because we admire a particular detail that seems good to us or maybe even out of curiosity. We just don't notice.
It's really not the kind of habit that goes away (fortunately).
Curiosity is really a blessing in my opinion. It makes for a open mind. And we're always changing, always evolving.
And I certainly wouldn't mind learning something even from a game where gravity doesn't work properly..

I object. You can certainly gain wisdom through teachings of people who have gone on that journey. You can make the argument that 'it won't be true wisdom' because its not experienced first hand. To that I say 'I'd like to think we are smart enough to understand and sympathize to fully comprehend such teachings, that it can be gained from second hand.
It's weird. We have to find our own way. But we are raised by those around us. It is a tricky dilemna.

Many people misinterpret this statement as meaning something negative. It's actually supposed to uplift, To help realize that you are not incontrol and you will never be. The illusion of control, can make you feel so happy in the moment, But when that control inevitably breaks, You will fall into a deep depression, Feeling angry, afraid and Vulnerable. This is why is so important to not only be self-aware but also to never shut out external information.

The truth is, there is no easy way. Struggle influences growth.

I wasted many years trying to find my passion or purpose. Just to realise it is relative to each person. For me everyone has only two purposes in life.
1. Go do their best.
2. Give something back to humanity. By even planting a tree.

I'm trying to figure it out as well... I lost my girlfriend of three years and all of my friends in April. I had a nervous breakdown due to all of it and quit my job of 5 years. I'm 33 and wondering if the best years are behind me...

I find peace in knowing the mere fact that I am alive. As long as you exist, you cannot do it wrong. Every experience of every being is the experience of a life no matter what. All I truly need is a steady stream of consciousness and awareness about this fact. And it doesnt require anything nor it does crash with other thoughts: you can believe any religion, appreciate any philisophy. It's all still the experience of a life. Every piece of “grand scale true meaning of life” advice i heard i always felt lacking and could very easily be argued against, until I always reach the conclusion that nothing really matters, but at the same time, anything can matter / or be meaningful.

This is my favorite video on youtube and has literally changed how I see life, thank you.
When i have friends who are troubled, the advice i usually give is: keep moving forward, pick your battles, actions define who you are, and accept help when it is offered. Even if it may be wrong, these words of advice are how i live.
Many of us view our life in relation to some far off goal, our passion becomes our prison and we view not achieving it as an indictment on ourselves. The point of life is to just live it.

My belief is "ya don't need a good memory if you tell the truth." Its a moto that has never failed me- however, im aware that it leaves me open to abuse because I almost expect others to be as truthful as I try to be. This belief system leaves u vulnerable to being taken advantage of by trusting people u probably shouldn't.
I think the lesson is two fold... i can see straight though peoples lies now. I don't get taken advantage of anymore by punching holes in untruthful claims.

Sometimes we think too muck about our decisions...the problem is that we tend to measure our spent moments with the amount of success we've had achieved in those, categorise them into good or bad, we question are we making the most of our lives in the limited time we have? In all these pressures, we forget to explore our lives....
This one has my name on it. I’m an actual Chris who got told ‘you’re too negative.’ I left everything behind and went to Asia …and have been here for the majority of my adult life (a long time). I absorbed all sorts of self help before and after leaving. I’m still me. I’ve managed to shut some of life’s noise out and to trust that I know what’s going to work best for me (cardio - nothing levels my mood like cardio). Advice? Don’t shy away from having experiences, even if you might be bummed out at the time. Moods and circumstances change😉.

Maybe instead of questioning, we should question our questioning.
Instead of constantly seeking answers, we should ask ourselves if we're even asking the right questions.

Yet, I keep thinking that the first woman gave Chris the best advice:
"Do not chase worldly pleasures or material successes, Chris. Do not succumb to the temptation of the moment. The only real is the eternal real. Work for what is hard but necessary. What is meaningful in the long run. Let go of yourself and dissolve into this. You only have one chance at this life; you must take it seriously and make something of it. Give up trivial pleasures and desires in consideration of the long game. Live and contemplate in the garden of life beyond you. Always be growing and improving and adapting. Leave your legacy strong and sturdy. That is what it means to live a good life." ❤
This advice can be dangerous as people can become obsessive over the future and what part they will play in it, I personally know this is something I struggle with and because of plainly overthinking I have missed opportunities in every aspect of my life, but that begs the question would I have even had those opportunities had it not been for this obsessive lifestyle?? I believe the best advice is that you have to realize that your mind will forever be stuck in between the future and the present. Not sure which person said this but I think it leads to the truth that you have to be selective in your lifetime of what moments you give your presence to and when it is necessary to contemplate the possibilities your life still has.

I've lived in pessimism all my life, whenever I tried to rise up from it(which I tried a lot), people kept dragging me down. Then I just accepted my way of thinking is correct cause it serves my life. I met my aunt the other day and she sighed after a conversation about something and said "our family has a very negative way of thinking " and for the first time I felt a sense of relief, that it's not just me.
Sometimes optimism is ignorance whilst pessimism is learning fom the past.
I just cried. Thank you for your posts.
For me, in the extremely short time we all have in this world, I want to spend my time enjoying myself. Sure we have ups and downs throughout this journey but that is the ride we are on and we can’t change that. Try to enjoy every minute you have on this earth. Love you all!
