This is a longer,slightly different version of the Pureland Rebirth Mantra,which is usually attached to the Sutra of Amitabha in Chinese scriptures.
The Chinese name of this mantra indicates that this mantra(dharani) can uproot all karmic obstacles, and enable one to be reborn in Sukhavati with certainty.
I prefer the Sanskrit version,as the translated Chinese sounds of the mantra are mostly wrong.That said,many Mahayans believe that if your faith in this mantra is rock-solid,it is still efficacious in spiritually releasing all those sentient beings(including animals)that one had hurt in the past,including past lives,even if the mantra sounds produced are incorrect.
May all living beings obtain clear vision
