None of us are good enough. But going forward use it as a challenge not a put down. We can all get better. But weak people choose to say it to bring others down so they'll never do better them. You all got this. Get after it

Been a year now, how are we doing today private? You don't entirely see it yet but you joined a lifelong brotherhood. I was forced out late last year but every time I run into another vet. There's a hidden understanding between us. A shared understanding that doesn't need to be said, if it even can be put into words. The sweat and tears and frustration and long hours are worth it.

As a young soldier, you will think your tasks are menial. I assure you, they aren't. 20 years from now-30 years from now-you will look back on your service-even if it were a short time-and realize, those were the best days of your life.
Stay strong. Pass the torch. Keep your powder dry.

I know this is “military motivation” but as a 23yo 120lbs police officer this helped me believe in myself when so many people tell me I can’t do this job. Every day is a battle against my coworkers judgement but I’m a good person who does a good job.

    • @TheFilmMixer101
      @TheFilmMixer101  ปีที่แล้ว +2

don't let anyone's opinion about you become your reality. You are the builder of your destiny. you took the oath just like everyone, but you can always be emotionally and physically better. Yes, it can be demanding yes it can be rough but that doesn't give you a reason to give up. use that judgment to your benefit and outclass everyone who has ever put you down. You fall down but you always get up. Nobody owns nobody nothing, you owe yourself. work the best you can possibly go. I myself have gone through hell and back don't ever quit promising that to yourself. You will be okay I believe in you. Lift those up when they are down and always have the heart for those hurting even if the person hates who you are. I go by this moral every day. [I don't care what you think of me, you may hate me, you may like me, or much more but when the time comes ill be there to save you.] everyone goes through hell their own way even when you may be exhausted by the world but it doesn't hurt trying to put a little bit back together. God Speed, and if you are religious always look to god for help and guidance never lose faith no matter what happens.

Coming from someone who has rolled (no Gi BJJ) with dudes that were ~115-130lbs, and wrestled with a guy for fun on my team that probably weighed 133, let me just reassure you how incorrect that judgement. The idea that a smaller stature discredits you from doing your job; those dudes humbled me so quickly, I never saw it the same way ever again, and have never underestimated anyone's capabilities. Flawless technique beat shear strength 99.9/100. If you don't already, pick up wrestling and BJJ, those two will be the way you eliminate all doubt.
Oh and boss? I wrestled 189, 215, and heavyweight and was 6'5" at 18. When the I got the opportunity to be paired with that 115lbs. 40 year old gentleman that kicked my ego in the balls for 15 minutes and humiliated my ass on the mat (rightly-deserved, all a part of growing and becoming a man is shedding that ego and fragility of youth, I feel), I was 228lbs. 6'6" and playing college football as a Tight End. Humble, freaking, pie when we tangoed and still remember when he almost re-tore my meniscus with an iminari roll so fast I was hard planted going sideways but my foot was stuck. AH.
      Anyways,
Keep that same energy my guy, your senior command will see it, and you have that dawg in you without a shadow of a doubt.

@@jaakko9853 I was accepted and became very ill with a fluke injury right before the starting, I've never been able to get back because of the seriousness of it affecting my spine and brain. My fight is this fight now, and it's harder than the military would ever have been. We can't always choose our battles in life, but we can choose how we respond to them. We can sink or swim and I'm in no mood to drown because of this BS. My advice to you is go all in as eventually life will mess you up, so do what you want to do right now and have no fear.

Just reading these comments and had to say this, If this video is what makes you think you want to be a soldier... rethink it. This is the highlights. Not sitting in a trench for 2 weeks. Not living off a candy bar and a cold ration for 24 hours. Not carrying your broken body past its limits. Stop trying to think your a hero for joining and realize that what makes you a hero is your actions. Talk about what you've done, not what your "going to do".

this hits home as I had cancer when I was 17, had lots of doubts weather I should continue going when I constantly fell down and every time I tried to get up I fell deeper. I'm 22 now in a job I'm happy with but not where I want to be as I've always wanted to be in the Army as Military is in my family as I failed due to a medical.
have lost good close friends for being me and have experienced things no 17 year old should, but now I'm back on my feet pushing to join the Royal Engineers and everyone who doubts me i strive to prove them wrong and come out on top I'm fed up with living a safe life because others say it's not going to happen to achieve my dream.

For about three years now, my dream was to join the military. But I screwed up and showed my medical history and I have been told by four branches now that I have no chance of joining and doing my part to serve. Thank you all for your service who were able to join. But I find it hard to live life knowing that my dream won't come true. I hear so many complain because they don't enjoy the military. In my opinion, they should count themselves lucky to be able to do something that not many can do sometimes. So yes it does hurt sometimes, whether you are in the military or not.

but back to you dont ever give up on yourself keep pushing. what i did before joining is focus on running and i mean it you'll do a lot of that in bootcamp with the countdowns. don't worry bout that yet lol. focus on yourself first be fit be health be mentally strong shit gets rough in life even in the military with its perks n all but it doesn't do that much. Sorry to say that my body will never be able to be a soldier, which is my only real regret in life! As parents and Americans, it's our responsibility, our duty, to teach & remind our children about the daily sacrifices of our soldiers, government and law enforcement, & firefighters. We should teach & remind them on a regular basis too, not just on national holidays. How else will our next generation of Americans maintain our status as the greatest country in the world, if we don't teach them?

    WOW................ I HAVE NO WORDS........
As a VERY PROUD VETERAN, I think about the REAL MEN that I have served with and the places that we have been to, and about the SACRIFICES THAT WE HAVE ALL MADE..... the Absolute Sorrow and Indescribable Pain of Losing a Brother to the Absolute Joy and
Pride that WE ALL FELT for Accomplishing “The Impossible” Time After Time, with only a Handful of PROFESSIONAL MISFITS.😎🎱🇺🇸
As a disabled Veteran, it’s sometimes easy to think of “Your Best Day’s” as being All Behind You.......and you think that your fine with that.
The Pride that you feel, the Camaraderie that you STILL HAVE with those of you that are left and still here........ All of laughter you share about the CRAZY FUNNY things that had happened at THE MOST INCONVENIENT TIMES!!!! (I’m sure you other Veterans can definitely relate, and those of you who are going to serve, you WILL definitely experience a WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF FUNNY!! 😇)
But anyways, sometimes it’s too easy to think your Best Days are all behind you......
After listening to this, I’m thinking that I’ve still got some History to write down about “My Journey and Travels”
