When you push the wheel up it makes the chain longer therefore you can take a few links & put it back together then pull the tire however much needs to be.
Ohh ok yeah I commented to move the tensioner to the bottom on the last video comments. Then I see U did it on this one . Slide the metal piece forward inch or 2 and bring the little plastic wheel up to fit it. Will work a lot better.
I built one with a 60 tooth sprocket on the back, the 44 tooth was NOT good. My back is the 20 inch. 60 tooth cost me like $6 from eBay, and it's so much better now. Plus it does 37 with the governor still in but the throttle stop screw backed out. Still gotta give it a little push with 1 foot to get moving better from a full stop
I just ordered a bigger sprocket and a machined adapter for a occ bike, so I’m hoping a more aligned and bigger sprocket will help me out. Thanks for watching!
im doing bout the same but with a Honda engine, pretty tight fit but ittle work. having trouble with how i could put on some disk brakes on this thing.
Yep, you are burning your clutch. Besides a larger rear sprocket, you could also consider a jackshaft setup. Look at how the Coleman minibikes are set up. You need to replace that center support you cut out of the frame or your frame is going to bend or break the first big bump you hit. You can curve it, if needed, to fit around the engine.
Great video bro, I would like to suggest a few things. firstly you should change out that rear sprocket cause by the sound of it it's not getting to it's max rpm which is ultimately wearing your clutch. I would go for a 6:1 or 7.7:1 ratio that should really up your torque and give you about 30 to 35 mph. I'd also suggest you move back the rear wheel to it's original position and then shorten the chain accordingly. After that you may install the tensioner. I was going to advice you make a bracket to mount the tensioner but you did say it's no permanent so that's fine. Try to make a bracket for the gas tank tho so that you can mount it to the center of the bike so that you do not get an unbalanced bike that leans more to one side than another but I understand this is a low speed, just for fun project bike so that doesn't matter too much. If you could tell me the specs of your build I could help you out with gear ratio. I need the estimated weight of the bike, the clutch number of teeth and the number of teeth on the rear sprocket. Getting a cvt would definitely help as it'll bump up your reduction by about 2.9:1 to 3.1:1 depending on which cvt you get
HEY! Make sure you put your tentioner on your bottom chain! The top one should always have a straight line to the drive sprocket! Otherwise it could bring down your top speed and your acceleration. I had it mounted on my last bike and it stubbed my top speed aswell as my acc. And my chain kept breaking! Be carefull!
Heat the tensioner up and flatten it in a Vice or with a hammer or something also the chain still seems slightly loose, ide move the tire back a bit, not extremely tight obviously but that looks like a bit to much play
Hey im actually building the exact same thing I did have a 2 stroke on mine but I got tired of it but if you want to paint it I'd try a website called spray bike that's pretty affordable and also you can get torque converters for around 50 dollars if you want to stick with the clutch id suggest getting a band brake also to get it running better try a air filter mount that let's you put racing air filters on it they're really cheap and make a big difference
The frame of this bike is a Schwinn Stingray Chopper, a bicycle frame they no longer make, but you can find beat up versions on Craigslist or Ebay, just try to avoid the pristine collector ones! Stay safe!
Hey man I saw your old super pocket bike videos and I was wondering if you still had it ? I would definitely buy from you cash in hand, how much do you want for it ?
Hey Jacob, I think you might be missing a torque converter. Something like this might help: www.gasbike.net/products/79cc-transmission-for-predator-engine-4-stroke
That’s awesome man

Super cool man

Try using an old belt tensioner pulley off a car for your chain tensioner might help
I think you should try a bigger rear sprocket. Give you better take off and get that clutch engaged quicker.
I need to do that to mine lol

To not burn the clutch do you need a bigger sprocket or what? Or not as much slack in the chain I didn’t know you could burn your clutch

I definitely need to look into getting a new rear sprocket, I’ll let you know the specs
@@RidingWiithJacob alright cool bro, Happy to help👍🏽

You need a little slack in the chain but not that much
@@willthornton9914 yeah but what he had set is a little bit more than I usually have
@@kolbyhardy6563 yeah I guess it was temporary tho he's getting a new one

He's just doing a clutch its much easier not to mention cheaper
