Which frog was your favorite?? Orange/Black Swirl? Pink with Black Dots? Orange body w/ black stripes and blue legs? Orange body w/blue dots and blue legs? Green and Black Splotchy? They all sucked?
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Dude... This was awesome... Nate and Chris.... My 2 favorite bait makers I'd like seeing more collaboration vids with you guys...the green and black splotchy frog was the best...
Huge Marling baits fan but you sir just earned yourself a sub. Great video. The pours came out awesome. Looking forward to watching the rest of your content!!
I have been waiting for this video ever since Marlin baits did the mold. And he mentiined you and i just had to subscribe to your channel too. Hope to see more of these videos between the two of you .
Excellent 👍!! I saw Marking build the mold and raced to your channel to see what you did with it. Great job! I am in Central Florida and fish the lakes here with the baits I pour from molds I make. When you are finished with that poison frog mold I'd love to give it a few pours. I use all remelted soft baits. Plenty from bass tourneys here.
Chris you did the poison arrow frog justice!! Great collab I hope you two get together on some more projects! Could any frogs be for sale? I would love to own something Nate and yourself have worked on.
Been waiting for this video since I saw the Marling baits video. Thank you for not disappointing and thanks to Marling for turning me on to another great bait channel. Now to binge on some of your older videos.
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
yeah its a great mold...just wish I would have gotten a fish on it..i had three hours to fish after work and eventually got run off by the weather...ill get one on it eventually!
@@WorldsWorstFishing i'm 100% sure you will catch something on it, its a greatt mold from the looks of it and the footage nate shot of the legs action looked outstanding.
Awesome. That green and black one looks killer! They all do tho! Marling is a beast, I watched his video that said he was sending that mold to you and been waiting to see what you cooked up. Not disappointed at all.
Do you remember the Creepy Crawler Mold sets you could buy back in the 60's? You could make rubberized lizards, and various insects from metal molds on a small stove. It came with various colors...Those were the days!
Great lookin baits Chris! You might be able to take that tiny paint brush and dot your mold with contrasting hot plastic prior to the main pour. Just thinking out loud!
Those look great! I've been following Marling Baits and came over to see what you would do with the mold and discover a fellow Tallahassee native. Will definitely have to check out the rest of your videos.
I have been watching Marling Baits for a few months now, and I'm glad he gave you a shout out because it led me to your channel. You did some really cool things with his mold. He claimed that you were the best. I'm happy i listened, new subscriber here. keep up the fun and awesome work.
Back in the 1960’s there was a toy called “Creepy Crawlers”. This process reminds me of that. The only difference is that the creepy crawlers had a heating element that cooked the plastic to solidify the plastic goop.
Great vid, I enjoyed them all. I'd also like to see a more natural pattern poured, just because the mold is so awesome I'm sure a Frog fish will absolutely crush this thing.
WOW VERY NICE FROGS, YOU HAVE A VERY STEADY HAD BROTHER. I LIKE HOW YOU CLEAR DIPPED THEM AFTERWARDS 7 THE GREEN SPLOTCHY FROG WAS MY FAV. I NEVER COULD REEL IN A BASS WITH THOSE FROG BAITS ? THE ONES I HAD SEEMED LIKE THE PLASTIC WAS HARDER COULDN'T GET A GOOD HOOK SET ? THE HOLLOW ONES WERE THE BEST BUT THEY HAD NO WEIGHT TO THEM ?
Just a quick idea could you use a metal turkey injector for the small dots on your frogs might be more controlled and Would it work on small areas like pour the frogs legs and swim baits on the side of the hook open plates?
should do a morning dawn swirl also I think using a small syringe would help with the detail spots like you could do them in the legs with it I bet and might help put some on the top of the mold aka the bottom of the bait so fish can see it
Love these frogs. Have you ever used the “Hand pour sticks”? I see them on dead on plastix website. Was wondering how they work. Supposed to make hand pouring easy and smooth.
It took me a second when he said gator colors. I was thinking of real life gators and was like where have you seen a gator that color?🤣 I wasn't thinking sports teams lol
Hey brother! Enjoy the video, and I love watching Marlings stuff as well. I’ve lived in Tally for about five years, I knew those spots looked familiar! I mostly fish down in Saint Marks though. Are you part of the Big Bend Angler’s Association on Facebook?
The frogs look great my guy just somthing to mention though poison dart frogs are colored to warn off pray that the poisonous so if you keep striking out try a one of the other colors you do the mold for them could still be good just the color pattern might be an issue but they aren't from area so the fish might not know any different just wanted to say that but I really like your videos the baits always look good

Would of been nice to have a couple videos to show the while process instead of worrying about the time and then referring to the other videos in this one. Could of brought a few people to check out the process and check out your other videos, also could of done the same by referencing a previous video where you went through the processes you skipped over. Just some food for thought, but damn man.. those are beautiful, really nice work man.

thank you so much. glad to have you
Great lookin baits Chris! You might be able to take that tiny paint brush and dot your mold with contrasting hot plastic prior to the main pour. Just thinking out loud!

Awesome vid bother. All of them are sick lol. That clear dip just puts the icing on the cake.
what would we do without clear dip!!
We neeeeed to see a home made soft plastic vs home made hard bait challenge

Great videos I make my lead baits already going to start plastic in near future and have learned lots from you. Thanks and tight lines
Thank you for watching
Maybe you'll find the same suicidal fish Marling found next time!! That divider cup at 5:40 made a good looking color blend..
I got an idea where that fish may be!! ill get him next time haha
Back in the 1960’s there was a toy called “Creepy Crawlers”. This process reminds me of that. The only difference is that the creepy crawlers had a heating element that cooked the plastic to solidify the plastic goop.
Yeah I even played with those as a child LOL
We need to see more collabs between the both of you!
I hope we do
Super cool, great to see the great results on hand pouring!
thank you man
Awesome colors. Wanted to see what you were going to create 👍👍.
thanks for watching!! glad you tuned in
Beautiful baits. You two should collaborate more.
i hope we do!
Nice I like it. It would be great if i can land some of the samples that I can vloq on it.
Great vid, I enjoyed them all. I'd also like to see a more natural pattern poured, just because the mold is so awesome I'm sure a Frog fish will absolutely crush this thing.
oh yes for sure...but for this video's purpose, I was trying to make exotic frog colors that you see in poison frogs.
WOW VERY NICE FROGS, YOU HAVE A VERY STEADY HAD BROTHER. I LIKE HOW YOU CLEAR DIPPED THEM AFTERWARDS 7 THE GREEN SPLOTCHY FROG WAS MY FAV. I NEVER COULD REEL IN A BASS WITH THOSE FROG BAITS ? You should do a video with the do-it mold ned rig worms. They come out really nice
Creative as always. Great work Chris
Pink and blue for my daughter. Orange black swirl for me. Awesome work. When I saw marlins video the mold screamed your name. Lol
haha thanks!
Just a quick idea could you use a metal turkey injector for the small dots on your frogs might be more controlled and Would it work on small areas like pour the frogs legs and swim baits on the side of the hook open plates?
Pink and black dots is crazy cool, that's my favorite 👊🏽
Great video Chris once again!!!!!!!! Awesome looking frogs!!!!!!!
thank you Greg
should do a morning dawn swirl also I think using a small syringe would help with the detail spots like you could do them in the legs with it I bet and might help put some on the top of the mold aka the bottom of the bait so fish can see it
Enjoy the videos and seen others on TH-cam. It seems you are the only one doing a bath step. What is the bath and why is it done.
Who else came from marling baits?
Me
Great job. And I learn some tricks of hand pouring thanks.
thank you for watching
No problem u enjoy your videos
Man these look really cool. I wish I could buy some.
Great collab!
Nice work guys
thank you Roland!
Great work! My vote is for the Green and Black one.
Green and Black Splotchy is the one for me!!! Nice job.
thank you, and thanks for watching
Love these frogs. Have you ever used the “Hand pour sticks”? I see them on dead on plastix website. Was wondering how they work. Supposed to make hand pouring easy and smooth.

Great video. I wish they were for sale on a site.
Subbed because of Nate.... I don't regret it!!!
Nice video and baits. Hope you get caught up soon and can sell some more baits 👍🏻Keep up the great work
I think orange and pearl would look really good poured out of the divider cup.
Orange and black looks sweet also a big fan of the pink one too.
thanks...the orange and black swirl turned out cool...probably couldnt do it again haha
😂
Nice collab with Nate
thank you!
I no you're asking witch frog was my favorite this entire video process was my favorite I give you my like👍🏼😉

ive been watching marling baits before 100,000 im glad you guys did a colb video
thank you for watching!! he is the best for sure.
Where do you buy your soft plastics? Also, any tips on bait making...?
was thinking if it may look good with a solid colour and extra large flake!
Nice calab with marlin cant wait to see more
thank you, I hope he and I do some more projects.
Good job, keep it up! The pink one is pretty cool
its my wifes favorite too!
13:35 One could even say that he's a master baiter.
haha yep thats what we bait makers aspire to
Frosting bag nozzels or a squeeze bottle for filling hand pour molds keep coming to my mind for some odd reason.
Nice video where do you buy the mold?
He is great, I watched his frog mold and holy cow hes creative,
Yeah he's the man
This is awesome! Do they have those molds for sale? Love the orange/black swirl
This was sort of a project mold between Marling Baits and I...you could contact nate Malring and ask if he will sell you a mold of this frog.
I started making hard baits because of marling, now I’m about to waste a bunch of money on hand pour molds because of you.
uh oh....my bad!
It took me a second when he said gator colors. I was thinking of real life gators and was like where have you seen a gator that color?🤣 I wasn't thinking sports teams lol

My dad fishes down in the St Mark's refuge..I don't think I am in that group.
I would like to see the boot tail on the end of those z legs with that frog. Just and idea.
Have you ever tried a eye dropper for small pouring? Loved the video, Marling sent me. You got yourself a new sub. Cheers
I have not...would almost be more trouble than just trimming the legs...im used to trimming stuff haha...thanks for the sub!
Bro.... THOSE ARE FREAKING AWESOMESAUCE!!!!! I got to get my hands on a few on those! How much are they going for??
Well I wasn't planning on selling any tbh...they take a lot of work to make and would be laughably expensive to make it worth my time.
Marling is pretty legit also absolutely hilarious
Love marlin baits! I'd say between the both of you. U guys got lures covered
thank you man!! thanks for watching
Really great video all the frogs are awesome looking cheers🍻🍻🍻

thank you..it was a cool project!
Howdy! Marling Baits
sent me. Cool channel. Subscribed.
Awesome thank you
Awesome video. Have you used a 10ml or 30ml syringe for pouring?
never used any syringe for pouring
I am probably the world's worst bass fisherman - I can't catch a bass on a soft plastic to save my life...but I definitely enjoyed this video.
hahaha....well its just a mattewr of time and youll get em!
New sub from Marling Baits channel Pouring the spots why not use a syringe without the needle?
WOO HOO YOU DID IT, GETTING A CUP OF COFFEE BEFORE I WATCH, AW HELL HAVE TO LET THE DOGS OUT TOO.
Well done sir!
Are they going to sell the molds for us to try our hand at it?
sick new intro it looks legit
Oh heck YEAH! ( PG for the little kiddies )
