    Thank you for this thoughtful and long term commitment to bring new players through the ranks. I'm the wrong generation. Too old for Gameboy and never did play a computer game. I find Pokémon a positive surprise. It requires relatively few resources for people in urban areas, encourages people to talk to each other and living in the Philippines which is very hierarchical Pokémon is a great resource leveler. There's a lot to learn and your broken it down into easy to digest videos. Well sometimes I have to watch a few times and I'm happy with my progress. Thank you for bringing something outside of my eclxperience into my reach.

      When you appraise it, you get the stars and the bars of attack, defense and stamina. Each of those bars are split into three sections. So for each category (attack, defense and stamina) the full bar equals that 15 number he mentioned. If it's not full then it falls along that scale. You can estimate it. If only the first section is full thats 5. If two sections are full it's 10 and all three full it's 15.

    My question is should I evolve or continue power up a Pokemon. Example I have a Pokemon with CP 510 and poke advisor shows 100%IV dust is at 1900 for 2 candy should I evolve or power up to max and then evolve? I'm confused on when to evolve my Pokemon. Does power up change Pokemon's IV?

    • @lunch7213
      @lunch7213 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      both have the same result. If you evolved it now, the positioning on the arc scale would not change. If its in the middle now (50% CP potential as I like to think of it), then it'd still be at 50% when you evolve it. The amount of CP it gains also wouldn't change for if you were to max then evolve. So only evolve if you truly want to and its a strong pokemon in every field. IV, arc scale, you're already a strong level

    is it better to keep a high cp pokemon with low iv stats for a low cp pokemon with high iv stats like said a 500 CP pokemon but only 30% perfection vs a 100 CP pokemon but with 90% perfection?

    • @trnrtips

      High IV pokemon will end up giving you a higher CP pokemon once you power it up.

    • @TuLongDao
      @TuLongDao 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i understand that, but i was wondering is it worth the stardust and candy cost of leveling up the lower cp pokemon, won't it cost you much more star dust and candies just to level up to be the same cp as the

      It is ultimately up to you, but you can always have a chance of finding a higher cp pokemon with perfect stats and a perfect move set. It is up to you to wait or go for it.

    06/07/2020 I only played Pokemon Go for like the first month or two and quit because it wasn't in the original Game Freak style format and evolving my squirtle changed my warturtle with a bad moveset. I started watching Pokemon so wanted a game on my phone, so started back at the start of this month. This video is SOOO USEFUL. Thank you, because i have been transferring Pokemon without even looking at the IV and wondering why i wasn't doing good. I understand now that ideally u need the correct moveset and high IV stats, and the CP should fall into place...right? So if i change a less dps move of a Pokemon to a high dps move using a TM, would the IV stats of the Pokemon change?

    Now you have TM's and Charged attack machines. You no longer have to worry about the movsets, just get a good iv poke and give the moveset you want it to learn. Moreover, there are also legacy moves you can get from event pokemon.

    Hi, I am really enjoying your very professionally made videos. Man I am loving them!
    I am what you would call a seasoned gamer and you might have read some of my comments previously showing my appreciation & discussing topics plus a few questions.
    I have said it once but I will say it again yours are the best Pokemon Go educational and informative videos out there.
    I think Niantic should be subbing to you and that way they can get a general consensus on what there players are thinking, feeling, want changed, fixed etc. since everything is dealt with in am intelligent respectful manner.
    Also I tend to agree with most things and anything I don't is probably an opinion based topic, not one of great importance or game mechanics of you know what I mean.
    I am glad I find this channel early so I could could make smart decisions and not waste certain things. Your channel started growing at an exponential rate & has not seemed to slow much which is due to your very well thought out and executed shots with quality equipment.
    Combine that with great mathematical analysis and instruction on top of a confidently and relaxed presentation and you are into a real winner here.
    This might sound like I am blowing smoke up your ...... Maybe it is but I am glad to see a young bloke putting his brain to work in such an entertaining yet informative way and really making a go of this opportunity that you obviously saw a long time before it hit judging by your first couple of vids.
    Like yourself I new this game was going to be a phenomenon. Which begs the question, if we could see that phenomenon potential of at least a huge and quick uptake by people with a smart phone why couldn't Niantic?
    Why was it not released more developed and not riddled with bugs & glitches since it went through Beta. Plus it needed a lot more effort and though put into there servers + where and when they rolled the game out.
    Why no experienced community manager on there team from as close to the start as practicable.
    Sorry ending into a small rant but like yourself I want this game to succeed and become something worthy of our devotion and time.
    If they don't capitalise on there launch enthusiasm and player base this will go down as one of the biggest developer chokes of all time & will haunt the staff & maybe even Nintendo for a long, long time if not for eternity.
    So come on Niantic it may sound and feel sometimes like the world is against you (I am not this is just my passion for games and your game) and then with you then against you etc. but we all just want the game you showed us & the the one we are all imagining.
    Just Pokemon the show in real life or Augmented reality life. Basically we all want to be virtual Ash (or whom ever) the trainer to escape the work-a-day world into the lands of our pokemon friends so we can "catch 'em all" to fulfill that primal collecting urge.
    P. S. I hope you don't miss a great opportunity to market some gear and Niantic + Nintendo have a great opportunity to make big money in merchandise so they can use that money to back the NX.
    Maybe some amiibos I would love it if there sacredly on the 3DS so we could have Amiibos and a lot more possibilities plus 3D and they could make a peripheral to plug into phones for the Amiibos like the did with older 3DS.
    You can see I am passionately enthusiastic for the game and it's possibilities oh the possibilies WOW!
    Keep up your amazing videos. I love watching a new one each day but please do not get burnt out. If you can maintain this though I think you are going to get to a million subs very quickly.
    I have not being part of a channel that has grown so quickly from its humble beginnings. Awesome, keep it up.
    From a fan down under.

    Been watching your channel for a while and thought i'd finally chime in with telling you how great I think your videos are and how helpful your tips have been. This video in particular has been one of the most helpful to me: your ability to breakdown some of the game mechanics and communicate them in an easily understandable way is seriously one of the things that has kept me playing the game. I love video games, I love Pokemon, but without a better grasp on how the game actually works, I would have gotten frustrated and lost a lot of interest. So just wanted to chime in with a huge thanks and keep up the great work!
