Again, I must say that this series, with Ronald Howard as Sherlock Holmes n H. Marion Crawford as Dr. John Watson, is a fabulous delight to watch!! Their coupling as crime solvers is wonderfully refreshing every time I rewatch it, like I am redoing today!!!! Inspector Lestrade played by Archie Duncan is a classic n his easy comic relief is well appreciated as well as the actor who plays Officer Wilkins, who is quite the droll performer, is also quite amusing. All 4 of them play off each other really well, keeping me entertained thoroughly every time I watch this series, which I used to own n only recently today rediscovered!!! The charming way the use of the revolving door policy of casting the same set of actors throughout the series in different rolls makes for almost a soap opera persona n gives me the feeling of seeing old friends every time I watch!!!! The charming dialogue n wardrobe n sets depicting Victorian London and surrounding countrysides are also top notch. Marvelous way to spend an afternoon solving crimes and being superbly entertained in a way that is lost to us through television today!!!!
thank you for sharing Sherlock Holmes from the past with everyone who loves this charcter. even better that it is free. many of us are on fixed incomes. God bless
I am quite grateful for films like this as they allow me to catch a glimpse at how beautiful those stars had been before they faded away, It’s like visiting an awe inspiring memorabilia. I am talking especially about Paulette Goddard who from what I’ve heard, was a great actress, as seen in this precious film short as her part was, actually I liked all their acting.
I FEEL AS THOUGH I'M TRANSPORTED INTO THIS BEAUTIFUL FANTASY BLACK AND WHITE WORLD WHERE I AM FREE TO ADD MY OWN COLORS IF I CHOOSE. IT'S COOL THE WAY THEY SPOKE.
# - Somebody else is guilty - Brilliant # - Nonsense ! Did you say nonsense ? I'll have you know Inspector Lastrade that if the law enforcement ........ Entertaining exchange .
This series started off so strong, with interconnected subplots between episodes, and strong supporting characters. At the beginning, for example, Watson is still upset about Holmes not getting the credit for solving the crime from the first episode, but Lestrade masterfully deflects Watson's anger about the situation and even pretends to be on Watson's side in the matter. Alas, they couldn't keep up this quality as the series went on.
PS. to bad many of the actors and actresses today depend upon the new cenamatology of today to cover for their lack of acting skills. not alk but plenty. love the old tv and movie stuff.
Love these Movies... Thank you for uploading 🎥☕🤗

that if the law enforcement ........
Entertaining exchange .
A good episode , the two heroes suitably camp...even that scruffy bald Lestrade is looking rather poofy with that tache and his grubby overcoat

Great twists 🎉
If Watson - Was any kind of a doctor , He would have known about the gun shot to the head. Instead of homes having to tale him.
The white notices on a black and white film are very distracting
