    The day we observe Easter is actually a pagan holiday to the goddess Ishtar or the vernal equinox. The resurrection of our Lord should be celebrated after the Passover.

      It's Eostre in the UK, not Ishtar. Ishtar IIRC was worshipped in Babylon, pre Christianity.

    While agreeing with the caution, some of what is said depends on the mind or heart of the one participating.
    We must also be cautious of not practicing religious legalisms which also entraps spiritually.

    What about Christmas? Christmas trees and Yule logs spring to mind as pagan. Yes, presents were given at the birth of Christ, but these were to him, not to other people. The commercialisation of Christmas has certainly detracted from what this time of year is supposed to about - though actually, Jesus almost certainly not borne in December. It would have been too cold there, for example, for the shepherds to be out with their sheep at night - Christmas itself it just a Christianised pagan winter festival. Interestingly, in England, Christmas celebrations were once banned, by Christians, as it was seen as detracting from the "real" thing.

      Thank you for your detailed comment and thoughtful observations about Christmas and its origins! You raise some important points that are worth reflecting on as Christians.
      It’s true that some traditions associated with Christmas, like trees, Yule logs, and even the timing of December 25th, have connections to pre-Christian pagan practices. Over time, the early Church “redeemed” these elements, using them as tools to point people to Christ. However, as you rightly note, the commercialization of Christmas can detract from its true purpose-celebrating the birth of our Savior and the hope He brings to the world.
      I appreciate you highlighting this topic-it’s an excellent reminder for all of us to reflect on how we approach this season and ensure that Christ remains at the center. God bless you, and thank you for watching and engaging with this discussion!

      @@IncredibleBible-j7s one other thing that the OP didn't mention was that the census being in the winter would have been difficult traveling.
      Another question is why pick a pagan holiday to celebrate Yahushua's birth?
      Why do Christians celebrate Christmas and Easter but ignore Yahweh's commandment to keep His seven annual Holy days?

    • @elultimo102
      @elultimo102 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      The timing of Christmas coincides with the pagan feast of Baal. Current theory is that Jesus was actually born around March 27th, since among other things, "the shepherds abided their flocks by night." This was only done in the spring for lambing season.

    • @laurastuder299

      Jesus birth is the reason for Christmas for Christians. If he wasn’t born we would have no chance to repent of our sins and believe that Jesus was raised from the dead and gave us a choice to live eternity in heaven with him. We celebrate his birth no matter when he was born. It’s his birth we celebrate and call it “Christ mas” I praise God for sending Jesus as a baby to this earth to give each of us a choice of heaven or hell when we die. Without Jesus being born on earth and crucified we wouldn’t have a choice. We celebrate his birth that’s where it all started. Jesus is the reason for the Christmas season no matter when he was born…the point being is that he was born on earth and we celebrate his birth❣️I thank God for that❣️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Revelation 8: 4 …
    3 Then another angel, who had a golden CENSER, came and stood at the altar. He was given much INCENSE to offer, along with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the INCENSE, together with the prayers of the saints, ROSE UP before God from the hand of the angel.

      @IncredibleBible-j7s  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for sharing this Scripture from Revelation 8:3-4. In Revelation, incense is directly tied to worshiping God and symbolizes the prayers of the saints rising before Him. It’s an act of reverence and devotion, wholly centered on God’s glory. In contrast, practices like burning sage (smudging) are rooted in spiritual traditions outside of Christianity and are often intended to invoke spirits or cleanse spaces, which can open the door to spiritual deception.

      Imo nothing wrong with burning sage for practical purposes like repelling mosquitos. It's the act and/or ritual of smudging that is the problem. The sage itself isn't the problem. I have a citrus and sage scented candle that I very much enjoy, I find it refreshing.

      Thank you for your comment! Using sage (or other herbs) purely for practical purposes, like repelling mosquitoes, is very different from burning sage as part of spiritual or ritualistic practices. The concern we discussed in the video is specifically about the spiritual significance tied to burning sage in its traditional context, not its use for practical reasons.

      @@IncredibleBible-j7s good to hear. I was considering having a talk with our Creator explaining why I want to use it and if there is anything carried into it such as you mentioned, to please to remove it or show me to understand why not, or at the least, make it clear that the answer is no.
      I had an experience once when I stopped at a yard sale and saw a hat. It was the only thing there that didn't have a price tag on it. I bought it cheap. At first I didn't wear it every day, after awhile, I noticed a pattern of on days that I wore it to work, I heard bad news when I got home. But on days that I didn't, I heard good news. I started thinking that perhaps there was a curse on the hat so I talked to Yahweh about it. After that, no more problems with bad news.
      Later, I saw all of the same people there who were at the yard sale so I stopped to ask where the hat came from. No one had any clue, which adds to my suspicion that it was in fact cursed.

    The Word
    We are told Jesus is The Word. We are not to have no other god before Him. That would mean there is but one translation that is God and the others are false gods.
    We must find the one true God, the one true translation. When we use different Bibles we go in circles never finding what we seek. Like blind men we have sought a way that isn't straight and we have wondered in the wilderness for two thousand yrs..
    We were promised a straight way. The one true Word without anything missing, not a dot or comma nor the crossing of a t.
    The finding of the one true Word is to seek Jesus. Then we obey that we find His face. Our advise is The King James Version. But we are to prove all things, so choose this day in whom you shall serve.
    He is the beginning, O.T. and the end, NT..

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts! You’ve raised some important questions that many people wrestle with, and I appreciate your honesty. Let me address a few of the points you brought up.
      It’s not about saying everything we do is wrong-it’s about discerning what aligns with God’s Word and what might lead us away from Him spiritually. For example, practices like burning sage or engaging in yoga as spiritual acts are rooted in beliefs that conflict with the Bible. It’s not about rejecting everything, but about being mindful of what we adopt into our lives and ensuring it doesn’t contradict our faith.
      As for the Bible, we believe it is the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). While Jesus didn’t carry a physical Bible, He quoted Scripture often and affirmed the authority of God’s Word (e.g., Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:18-21). The Bible is a gift God has given us to guide us in our walk with Him, even today. Many scholars have studied its history, and the evidence for its accuracy and divine inspiration is compelling.

      No, not "everything we do is wrong" according to the bible. If you have a bible, you ought to know who wrote each book. For example. John the Revelator wrote Revelation. When Yeshua came in human form, He did not need to carry a bible around with Him. He IS the bible! Look, God gives all of us Free Will. It is written in Mark 10:15, "Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." Because once you start picking it apart, you then find reasons to pick the rest of it apart. And that, my friend, will not get you into heaven. Believe...or don't believe. That's what free will is all about. You can't have it both ways.
