I'm writing a Sunday School curriculum for our church based off the book "The Ology," and this is the perfect activity to go with "God is Eternal"! Thank you so much! I have no creativity when it comes to crafts for kids!

This was an excellent way of explaining the answer to the question Susan. I am wondering why you didn’t include the word of God in your lesson , though. Psalm 90:2, Isaiah 40:28 would have been especially good to use

Thank you! yes, those are all wonderful verses to use with this lesson. I usually don't do this lesson as a stand alone - only after I have taught genesis creation story. It is from that Biblical teaching that the question comes. thank you for sharing those scriptures!

Nice craft aside. Who made god/s was the question.
Later in the video after you drew the picture and said "When god created everything"
At no point prior to that statement had you demostrated the existance of god/s.
You simply asserted it. That is a no no.
Please demonstrate the existance of said god/s and then you can try to attribute your assertion to it, not before.
Then continuing you say "We have a beginning and we have an end" and then you follow with "God is different to us."
"He created time" a bible assertion, see above and "Eternal","Always existed", bible assertion, see above again.
Special pleading(making an excuse for) god/s to have these attributes is again asserting that which you cannot demonstrate.
The bible tells me so, does not cut it.
He is everywhere huh?, if that is so, show us, demonstrate it, don't simply assert it.
"Does that answer your question", no. No it does not.
And no one else should be satisfied with that answer either.
You seem to be a lovely, warm and sincere woman, but as for god/s existance the answer can't be simply, the bible tells me so.
Enjoyed your craft video, but not your answer to, who made god/s?

Thank you for taking the time to make a comment and I do understand the point that you are making here. Which I think is very valid. This is a difficult topic in a tutorial and expressly when teaching young children. As a Sunday School teacher we do teach from the text of the Scriptures, so within this context - 'the Bible says' is important when teaching this concept. Children are for the most part concrete learners and with age we can employ others things such as apologetics, etc. However, I am committed to teaching from the Bible which teaches that God is eternal, everywhere, all powerful, always existing. I do feel that believing in God's existence is still a matter of personal faith. For me, the most significant proof of God is when he raised Jesus from the dead. (Which is the most important part of our curriculum) I believe in God because of this. Jesus himself pointed us to God through his life, death and resurrection as well as his teaching from the ancient scriptures. Thank you again for your thoughtful comment.

@@WrightIdeaswithSusan Appreciate the response and honesty on the god exists question.
As a Sunday School teacher i realize you are teaching the children the religion of their parents. Which in my opinion is indoctrination.
"Children are for the most part concrete learners and with age we can employ others things such as apologetics."
If any religion can be shown demonstrably, then no apologetics would be necessary. In no other field is this tactic used or needed.
Says a lot about any religion.
"However, I am committed to teaching from the Bible which teaches that God is eternal, everywhere, all powerful, always existing."
Again all pure assertion. If what you are teaching them is to simply assert something, because the book (any book) says so, then they will struggle with rational thought processes in the future.
"I do feel that believing in God's existence is still a matter of personal faith".
If personal faith is a pathway to what can be known, then anything is on the table. People can believe in this god, in all the other religious gods, dragons, fairies, ghosts, spirits, astrology etc etc. Why? Because i have personal faith, that's why. Do you see the problem in what you are saying here?
      I hope so.
"For me, the most significant proof of God is when he raised Jesus from the dead".
How? The gospels are anonymous, written by non eyewitness'. Second hand accounts written 30+ years after any event may or may not of happened.
And again first a god must be shown to exist, before these stories can hold any water. Yet alone any resurrection.
"(Which is the most important part of our curriculum)"
I fear for the future of the children you teach this to as verifiable facts.
"Jesus himself pointed us to God through his life, death and resurrection as well as his teaching from the ancient scriptures"
Jesus as depicted in the bible never existed. So any story attributed to him is just that, stories to convert people to a religion.
Like so many other religions past and present.
If a Sunday School is needed to conform children to a particular religion, then it says a lot about how fragile that religion
is and how worried the parents are that their kids may eventually see through the whole façade as they get older.
      Sant Clause anyone?
Hope you have a good day and stay safe. cheers

If we don't teach our children, the world will. All that is happening in the schools now is because they removed God from the schools. God is real! All of the creation that you see as she drew on the chart is proof that he exists. Also, the mercy and grace he extends to us daily.
Giuseppe, how do you think you came to be?

@@dorisyebba4604 Hi, Doris thanks for the reply:
"If we don't teach our children, the world will".
I am happy for you to teach your children, keeping them indoctrinated and educationally clueless is a good way for them to fail in life when they do get out into the real world.
"All that is happening in the schools now is because they removed God from the schools".
Seriously, if god is omnipresent etc., god is everywhere, how can humans remove god?
That being said the god belief resides where it has always resided in the minds of humans.
And if you are talking about the (shootings?) vote to get your governments gun laws in order.
"God is real! All of the creation that you see as she drew on the chart is proof that he exists".
god is real because it can be shown to exist on a chart? Really? How about god showing itself to all humanity all at once today, that at least will get my attention. god has never been demonstrated to exist and you my dear lady can rant all you want about how real god is, it will never make it so.
"Also, the mercy and grace he extends to us daily".
Sure god does, try telling that to the families of the dead. I'm sure they will see it your way.
"Giuseppe, how do you think you came to be?"
My parent had sex the same as your parents.
Oh, you mean how did life itself begin?
The current leading understanding is abiogenesis.
Here is a short video on it.
      th-cam.com/video/TK1E3heBSiI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ProfessorDaveExplains
And if my answer was a blanket statement like "i do not know".
That does not mean god can be stuck in there as a place holder. That's a god of the gaps argument.
      Cheers
      G
