Because they are made when there was brititsh rule...
Ipc was made by lord Macaulay ..
So basically we didn't bother to make new penal and criminal code because it vastly covered all segment and sections

I have done my LLB from Uk affiliated University and find the local law very mystifying. I do not usually listen to Law lectures on TH-cam but after a friend suggested to watch your lectures, I am really liking it. You have expounded it so pleasantly. I would like to appreciate your efforts for facilitating preparations of LLB exams. Your way of teaching is very easy, understandable and comprehendible. I have a humble suggestion that if you can mention paper number with year number at the beginning of every lecture, it will be easier for us to search for the concerned lecture. The same pattern can be adopted in Titles of the lectures. Moreover, if you can arrange your lectures year wise (Year 1, 2 and 3), it will be a big favor.
