This link is to the original amv and person who inspired me to make this shipping video about HaggarxZarkon and the parralel ship I see possibly forming between Lotor and Allura. I loooove Lotor's character and hope he develops and doesn't fall flat.
Here's my headcanon for Lotor:
He doesn't like his father's obsession with the lions. Especially the black lion. Because he was exhiled for being of different beliefs perhaps in how to rule, Haggar is the only one who was able to prevent Zarkon was outright killing his son on more than occasion of rage. Lotor strives to rely on his own strength than the power of the lions to get the job done. Taught to rely on himself and his own instincts, he takes in half breeds because he understands their struggle and sees value in having them serve under him to fulfill his goals.
He dislikes Allura because of her naive ideals about teamwork and peace because he feels like he understands reality and the cruelty of it better than anyone. His parents have succumbed to the quintessence and it is something that has prolonged his life but also has alienated him from both his parents --it's as though he's an orphan and he doesn't really know his mother since the accident may have happened shortly after he born since Zarkon clearly did not bone the druid after he went all obsessive over the black lion after jumping into that giant gold vat of quintessence for his waifu.
Lotor is now fascinated and irritated with Allura because she has the ability to unite people through strength while Lotor unites them through fear like his father though he claims he's more fair about it. Lotor is blind to his own corruption because of his desire to separate himself from how his father acts.
Allura I feel can bring out Lotor's good. The end.
Okay. I think these two could rule together and actually do a good job rebuilding the Galra AND altean empires.

Carol Smith yeah I can see that! Although funnily enough I see allura as more political than Lotor. Lotor tends to go to the beat of his own drum while she shoulders the expectations of her predecessors anyways :D glad u enjoyed
Yes, they are similar, but lotor is smart and manipulative. The likelihood he’d do it for love’s sake is low, maybe as leverage or peace treaty, however unlikely due to galra pride.
Carol Smith also I just remembered note that zarkon himself acted sort of aloof and untouchable and then Cupid kicked his ass into gear 😂 love does strange things to a person. I think some lurv may help Lotor take the tree of beginning out of his butt cuz right now, he has major trust issues and Allura could be the friend to him that alfor failed to be to zarkon cuz zarkon was blinded by his love for honerva and unable to see her slow descent into corruption

I sadly have more limited special effects since all I have is imovie otherwise I definitely would have been fiddling way more :U But yes, typically if I wasn't impatient it would take me more time XD I'm glad you likey! Why not try out Camtasia? I got the 8th version and disconnected it from the net (I am a very bad person haha) and honestly that program has all the kinds of stuff I will ever need for editing. Only the exporting is a bit tricky, as you can tell from the glorious 480p on my video;;
