Never underestimate the power of well constructed lyric videos. Lyrics can give a badass song so much deeper meaning than just the catchy melodies. Too bad that most Spiritbox music videos do not have subtitles enabled for lyrics

Check out the videos on the channel Kardavox Academy. He sings that style for a few different bands and reacts to a lot of heavier bands and somewhat explains what's going on.

I think this song is about religion being a fallacy.
Wrong. It's about a negative relationship where the sex is great, but it's otherwise toxic, causing depression and dependency on antidepressants to get thru.
I do believe interpretation is left to the listener ;)
