I need help. I have replaced my alternator a couple months ago. I am getting 13.6 volts to the battery. But I can't get the battery light to go out on the dash. I have 13.6 V on the S-pin and 4.8V on the L pin. I have nothing on pins IG or FR while the car is running. Any help would be great. BTW Great Video!!! would be helpful with voltages on the pins though

As i can understand your ignition terminal doesn't have any power so it's a ground for your dashboard light. So in order for your dashboard light to shut off you need power there. I think it's an ignition problem.

    "Control" wire to stator?
A "comprehensive tutorial" would have described the field/brush contacts and purpose.

Hello, I'm from the Philippines, I hope you can help me with the issue of my car. I've taken it to many mechanics but they can't see the problem, the issue is because when the fan turns on, the rpm and voltage drop as if the engine dies. even when I use the power window and when I turn on the headlight.. but the mechanic noticed that once he removed the alternator socket, the rpm becomes ok even when the fan turns on.. but I checked my alternator and it said it was ok. I hope it will be noticed.. thank you by the way my car is toyota vios 2010

There may be loose connections have you test the voltage during engine running.
