Congratulations, Ana! Really looking forward to watching your film. I was at LFS too, but MA in Screenwriting. Belle Mundi also designing my first feature film this coming Winter. INCREDIBLY HAPPY FOR YOU! 🌸🌼🌻🏵💮💗
Ana Rocha de Sousa - this film of yours was inspired on Iolanda Menino’s story of the totally unjustified and criminal kidnapping of her baby boy Santiago at 5 days old, back in February 2016 by the criminal Southampton Social Services . She is the one who brought awareness to Portugal to this recurrent practice in the UK done mostly to emigrant mothers giving birth there: any excuse is good enough to stoke a child, or even the lack of excuse - as in her case - since all was done under the umbrella of physical and psychological torture, lies and falsehoods where she was denied any right to defend herself against it whatsoever! All the falsified statements were taken on by the UK family courts (whose judges have subsequently recognised that there was no reason for Santiago having been removed from the loving care of his family but that’s about it), which work with all the impunity of their ‘secrecy’ laws. Her only way out of prison or the mental health asylum the ‘authorities’ tried to push her into, was coming back to Portugal to fight to recover her stolen Portuguese registered son here! Speaking to presidents, Prime Ministers and foreign affairs ministers (all promised to help and did nothing of course) , being on the press (she made the cover of Visão magazine), all over the mainstream media with her case (the audiences soared to the TVs great benefit but no help whatsoever provided to Iolanda), getting journalist Ana Leal to do a proper investigation on hers and on so many other cases - called ‘Live you Mum’ (which won her, Ana Leal, a prize from UNESCO - just like the prizes you won with this film) , appealing twice to the Polícia Judiciária in Faro and Lisbon who couldn’t wait to file her case, appealing to the European tribunal of Human rights who deemed the case ‘not important or not well documented enough’ to bother with it, and so much more, internationally as well; being on the case on a daily basis on social media since then (Santiago, if alive, will be 5 yrs old on coming February), fighting to stay alive, survive and focused on her goal to recover her son, has been her life hell ever since! Are you ANA ROCHA DE SOUSA, prepared to do anything for Iolanda with the prizes and the success of your film?!! Or you will just be one more cashing in on Iolanda’s misfortune and unfortunate victimisation of the same evil system who is providing you with all this popularity on the film for which Iolanda was your inspiration (and no use denying it)?! LET US SEE if you will be the ONE to make a difference! I don’t mean to put you on the spot, believe me, but this has gone too far and you have a responsibility with this film to help make a difference. A PROACTIVE DIFFERENCE!
