There are times when the comics can get deep in the weeds and even though the room is laughing, Opie can't know if it's the same for those listening....and he also knows a caller can add/detract in interesting ways that the guys can feed from, even more so when it's to transition to a new topic because this is a show with an agenda and topics/bits they've planned to cover. Just for instance, what if every bit of feedback Opie gets from his bosses/sponsors/advertisers is how much they don't like when the comics take over the show and it becomes chaos where they're stuck on goofing on somebody/something...now Opie knows we love that, but he's got to find a balance....if radio was easy, we'd all have successful shows.

The reason why so many people like this show is because it's just comics/funny guys chatting/riffing. I could be mistaken, but I think Jim had changed course and was talking about putting ice in soft drinks, which in America pisses off cheap people who think they're being ripped off when restaurants do that because it's cheaper to fill a glass with ice and soda than to fill it entirely with soda which is already cold anyway.
Yeah... you can't just have two guys of this amount of talent on a show for only 1 hour, with you interrupting and stuff.... What is with the time limits? Sit and let them talk for 8 hours wtf.
when did this air originally? the pic of Louis CK/XM Radio suggests pre SiriusXM merger, maybe around 10 years ago, but a google search suggests closer to the upload date of the video. anyone know?

All comedians do this. Its because they don't have a trailer or clip they can just show like people pushing movies/shows. Also consider when other performers go on the shows their stories are ALSO prepared, its just stories from their life instead of from their work. On OnA at least Louis has been on the the radio for more material than he has put out. Like over 60 hours of time on OnA at least so its impossible for it all to be 'material' without even checking.
