Hi Edward My name is Reagile.I am from Maun in Botswana but I live in Gaborone. I love your videos I am only 13 years old BUT I love traveling, overlanding,Camping,Hunting etc I one day wish to become an overlander just like you.I have even started planning some trips to CKGR,MoremiGameReserve,Chobe and so on.I reallly would love it if you make video about how you plan, prepare and pack for your trips. To conclude...I really love your videos and would very much like it if you made a video about how you pack, plan, prepare for your trips
Hey Reagile! Wow thank you so much for this awesome message, it has really made my day and makes it all worth it 🙌 that’s a great idea thank you! I will definitely be doing a video on that soon, best regards 🙏
Edward, mate, Just a great video. Thanks ever so much. I know nothing about tyres, (I wish I did) but after watching your vid, I'm excited about them! Going down to the garage right now to see what kind of tyres I have on the Rav. But here's the thing - how did you script that kudu cow to walk behind the 200 at 0:27? Mate, you're a magician! God bless, Dave
Thank you so much Dave! Luckily nothing in Africa is scripted I was just incredibly fortunate to be in such an amazing place and then that happened 😂🙌 thanks for the constant support and awesome comments mate!
Lekke Ed, nice vid again, man it must be super cool to do what you do, thanks for taking us along 👌🏻👍🏻 I had ST Maxx’s on 3 Cruisers, FJ, 105 series and a 4.5 79 DC. Their all-round performance was great and as you said they give you confidence. Some serious advice, rotate regularly, if not the knoblies wear uneven and you end up with horrendous road noise, which will drive you insane. I suggest a 5-wheel rotation plan at least every 10kkm, 5 even better if you can. Keep those vids coming, absolutely love what you do 👌🏻👌🏻
Thank you so much Dirk! Especially for the advice, I always rotate and balance every 5000kms but thanks for letting me know that I need to do that especially with these tyres💪 i really appreciate all the support on the channel 🙌
Just a side note from Canada. They are amazing tires in all conditions but snow and ice. The compound is too hard for deep cold. Mine are not studded but that would just decrease stopping distance some. Even though they are winter rated they perform poorly in winter as most offroad tires do. Yes i run dedicated studded winter tires designed for extreme cold as most intelligent Canadians do. The st maxx rule the other 3seasons here on and off road. Im 50/50 tar vs offroad due to my oil and gas career. Never an issue in 40,000 km with these tires in any non winter condition.
I've got the old Cooper S/T. Very good on tyre wear. They are old but no dry rot what so ever. I've got BF-GOODRICH A/T on another vehicle. Tyres are same age as the coopers but full of dry rot. My next tyres will be discoverer maxx. The only point that i have with Cooper tyres is the total lack of grip on snow and ice. The compound is so hard. On the other hand that it why they last so long. Off course the grip changes when tyres get old. That's just A fact. But Cooper is my brand to go!
Good video. How are the tyres doing after almost 8 months. I am looking at Copper or KO2 for my 2009 LC200 285/70/17. Copper are almost Rand 750 more than KO2 on tyre.co.za. Thanks
@@EdwardBath I spoke to the guys at TyreLife. They did not have Cooper S/T Maxx in my size, so I bought Micky Thomson ATZ P3. Apparently both Cooper and MT are similar tyres.
Those tires look really good. Is there a noticable difference in fuel consumption (going slightly bigger or has it helped on the open road)? Thanks for the great content
I’m definitely planning on doing a comparison video after I see how the Coopers hold up, maybe after around 20 000kms because the KO2’s hold up really well 🙌 Performance levels are similar except for the wet, the Coopers are way better
@@EdwardBath true KO2 are stellar other areas other than wet, went Maxxis Razr AT 3 ply sidewall, 10 plies load E. Looking forward to your experience, Cooper tires have been loosing their reputation recently
Tough to say, my initial impressions are that they are better, I love the KO2s and I feel like I need to use these a little more to give an appropriate answer 🙏

Edward thanks for this episode i mist this one i need to make a choice for my Ranger Maxx vs and Grabber
Hi Edward thanks for sharing.Very nice video.I think you must go and test your tyres in the dunes of Namibia .Enjoy and all the best to you .
Thank you Sarel! I think that sounds like a plan 🙌 I hope you have a great Christmas and new year 🙏
Great review mate! We run the Cooper S/T MAXX tyres too and they are so good! 80,000KMS down and we haven't had one issue 💪
Thanks for the awesome comment and constant support mate! They are great tyres 💪

Lekker video Ed 🙌 Considering these very same tyres
Thank you mate! They would suit you well 🔥
Great review Ed! Nice aggressive looking tires! Will be interestingly see how they hold up in the next 105000km
Thank you so much bro!
You content must be good Ed! I've just watched a 14min advert, interspersed with other ads 😂😂 Keep them coming!
Thanks Stephen 😂😂
@@EdwardBath You're doing a great job bud. Some of us ex-pats are living vicariously through you and appreciate all your efforts!
@@Shingwedzi70 Thank you so much Stephen, when you come back here for a visit we should definitely have a coffee!
@@EdwardBath Sounds great, hopefully the New Year will allow us to travel more freely again!
s/t maxx are super tires! They are cheaper than KO2, but better in the mud. All durability etc is fully same. Only difficut to buy them in 285/75 16
Edward Bath you are true legend
Greetings from somalia 🇸🇴
Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙌
@@EdwardBath u welcome 🙏 🙏 bro
as always well worth watching
Great vid Edward - those tyres will go great on my Kangoo :~)
Keep up the good work bru.
Thank you Paul!
Well done boeta great video
Thank you Johno 🙏 was awesome to catchup at Matamba 💪
Can I deflate a 265/70SR20 to 1.1 bar when doing the sandy bits of Namakwa Rooikat route?
That Kudu cow at the start made the whole video!!
I completely agree! 😂🙌
😂😂less then a minute Kudu don’t mind me just passing by
I know right 😂😂🙌

@@boymeetsbush8232 also great Tires!
Awesome vid!
Thank you!
A bit off topic Ed, but what towbar and spare wheel carrier brand do you have on your 200 series?
It’s a Gobi-x bumper 🙏
Would you buy these again if not which brand ???
Would definitely buy them again
Those tires look really good. Is there a noticable difference in fuel consumption (going slightly bigger or has it helped on the open road)? Thanks for the great content
It has sorted the Speedo issue out so it’s now accurate and I didn’t notice any change in fuel consumption 🙌
@@EdwardBath that's so cool a win all around then. Will have to keep these in mind
What fuel economy did you get across the trip? Are they 33 inch tyres?
Would have been nice if you contrasted the KO2, just changed mine with 6mm left at almost 90k kms, but performance in wet is atrocious

Very nice man, I just wish those were not so expensive, suppose you get what you pay for 🤷🏼♂️ all the best.
Thank man! They are pricey but in the long run it’s a good investment 💪
Are they better than the K02's?
Tough to say, my initial impressions are that they are better, I love the KO2s and I feel like I need to use these a little more to give an appropriate answer 🙏
Nice one mate.
Thanks mate!
At first I was buying Coopers to get the ladies...now I realize I can find giraffe to impress the ladies...
Good review. Watch out Jeremy Clarkson
Thank you so much Collin 🙌
