Hi ! thanks for reacting to this little series of game trailers, I love it when I see people get introduced to this amazing series. Oh, and Warhammer has two different universes, between the Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k. Fantasy is more of the Orc, Undead, Daemon, Elf, Dark elf, Lizardman, Dwarf, Human, and many more. Kinda like Warcraft but more...grim and depressing... While Warhammer 40k is more about aliens...but somehow with mixes of magic and daemon in there, it's very complicated. But both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k stories are super GRIM and gruesome at some point, as most of the events that happen throughout both the series are was based. Warhammer series is SUPER OLD like older than League, Warcraft, TF2, and a lot more as the series was created as a tabletop figurine game. Like rolls the dice and such, super long story lol. So this Total War: Warhammer 2 is about the Vortex that the High Elf created a long time ago to siphon the force of Chaos and Daemon, or they will devour and corrupted the world in the name of their four dark gods Khorne, Slaanesh, Nurgle, and Tzeentch. The base game gives you four main playable races High Elf, Dark Elf, Lizardmen, and Skaven (the evil rat.) as each of the races compete with each other to gain control of the vortex, or save it from other. Each race gives you two startup legendary lords: Lizardmen: Lord Mazdamundi the great Slaan who master the lore of light and Kroq-gar the mighty old blood warrior (these are good guys by the way as they are the oldest race in the game, and all they care is to protect the world) High Elf: Loremaster Teclis and his twin brother Tyrion the current Phoenix king they seek ways to restore the vortex. Dark Elf: Malekith the dark he who burned in the flame, and his mother Morathi the greatest sorceress of all dark elf. Skaven: Queeak headteacher the chieftain of clan Mors and hunter of dwarf and Lord Skrolk the master of Clan Pestilen the plague-ridden ratmen.
Thank you for recommending! Appreciate the insight and background as well. Did not realize how old this game was lol. That's awesome!! Which video would be a good follow up to this? Warhammer 40k or Warhammer 3?
@@OntheSidePH I would recommend Total War: Warhammer 3 trailers as if you jumped to 40k it will be very confusing. The first game doesn't have a story on campaign as much as 2 and 3, only cool trailers.
Warcraft was heavily inspired by Warhammer and its world, and Starcraft (by the same company) was a recycled Warhammer 40,000 game that didn't get licensed. Each of the three Total War games focus on different races in the setting; you'll find the humans, dwarves, vampires, orcs, and goblins in the first game. In the third, you'll find many daemons among others, and eve more inbetween. The games combine their content as they release and develop to create one big super war game.
@@OntheSidePH In short: Blizzard wanted to make a Warhammer 40.000 rts and asked Games Workshop ( the company that owns Warhammer) but they declined. So Blizzard made their own Space Marines ( equivalent are Warhammer 40k Space Marines/ Imperial Guard), Zerg ( Warhammer 40k Tyranids) and Protoss ( Warhammer 40k Eldar)
Interesting!! Makes me wanna watch 40k now just to see the comparison with Starcraft. But you can alresdy see the inspiration for Warcraft in these trailers lol
5:45 The guys in armor are not humans - these are High Elves. The other elves you saw earlier where Dark Elves. There are no humans at all in these videos so far (the two primary human factions, the Empire and Bretonnia, where already introduced in Total War: Warhammer 1; the playable starting races of TWW 2 where the High Elves, the Dark Elves, the Lizardmen and the Skaven). 8:50 Nope, that's a Hydra. In total there's 15 playable races in Total War: Warhammer 2: High Elves, Wood Elves, Dark Elves, The Empire (humans), Bretonnia (humans), Greenskins (Orcs and Goblins), Beastmen, Norsca (barbaric, demon worshipping raiders and monsters), Lizardmen, Skaven (the rats), the Vampire Counts, Vampire Coast (undead pirates), the Tomb Kings (undead, with a lot of inspiration from ancient Egypt), Warriors of Chaos (demon worshippers) and Dwarves. In Total War: Warhammer 3 7 additional races are added: Demons of Khorne (the blood god), Demons of Nurgle (the Plaguefather), Demons of Slaanesh (the Dark Prince, God of Pleasure) and Demons of Tzeentch (Lord of Sorcery); Kislev (humans, with a huge impact from slavic and russian mythology), Cathay (humans, based on China) and the Ogre Kingdoms. The fans expect more races to be added to the game over time, most notably the Chaos Dwarves, the Kingdoms of Ind (based on India) and the Blood Naga of Kuresh (snakemen); probably also the Hobgoblin Khanate (greenskins, but more akin to the Mongols), Nippon (based on Japan) and Araby (based on Middle Eastern mythology, with heavy influences from the stories of 1001 nights), with more possible but less likely smaller races like Albion (based on celtic mythology), the Amazons, Fishmen, Kurgan, Hung, Fimir and others as well. Which means there's a lot of room for expansions ;-) 21:45 The blondes are the Sisters of Avelorn, a High Elf unit introduced with the Queen and Crone DLC. The Dark Elves featured here are Sisters of Slaughter, a new Dark Elf unit. Total War: Warhammer 1, 2 and 3 are not the only Total War games btw, there's a lot more - in this case based on history: Shogun: Total War, Medieval: Total War, Rome: Total War, Medieval II: Total War, Empire: Total War, Napoleon: Total War, Total War: Shogun II, Total War: Rome II, Total War: Attila, Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, Total War: Three Kingdoms and Total War Saga: Troy. This makes a total of 15 games - the first one, Shogun, was released in 2000, the newest entry is Total War: Warhammer 3 which was released this year in February.
"The fans expect more races to be added to the game over time, most notably the Chaos Dwarves, the Kingdoms of Ind (based on India) and the Blood Naga of Kuresh (snakemen); probably also the Hobgoblin Khanate (greenskins, but more akin to the Mongols), Nippon (based on Japan) and Araby (based on Middle Eastern mythology, with heavy influences from the stories of 1001 nights), with more possible but less likely smaller races like Albion (based on celtic mythology), the Amazons, Fishmen, Kurgan, Hung, Fimir and others as well." You literally named Everyone except Dogs of War/Southern Realms.
Something worth noting is there are no explicitly heroic faction, even the more good ones, like dwarfs, have faults. For dwarfs, they are incredibly vengeful, petty, and stubborn. Meanwhile high elves (what you called good elves) are extremely egotistical and elitist to the point of one teaching humans how to properly use magic is considered an idiot and a weirdo for even bothering with "lesser" races.
Love this, makes everything a lot more interesting when there's no clear cut good guys and bad guys. And elves always somehow end up being full of themselves 😂😂
@@nado1908 Si, Teclis es el más grande elfo que jamás halla existido, incluso mantuvo un combate mágico contra Malekith el rey brujo dándole la victoria a su hermano y a los demás elfos.
There are some missing trailers in this playlist. It's not your fault, most reactors use that playlist. There are several add-on trailers were they add units & Legendary Lords. 2 of my favorites being The Hunter & The Beast & The Silence & the Fury. You should react to those before moving on. There's plenty of people clarifying the races for you but here's quick tool to help you navigate them. Humans: The Empire & Britannia = Medieval/King Author looks. Kislev = Frozen, Old World Russian feel. Grand Cathay = Mythical, Ancient Chinese ascetic. Elves: High Elves = Pristine White with more Lord of the Rings Stylized armor. Wood Elves = Almost the same but more green, one with nature ascetics. Others: Lizardmen = self explanatory Skaven = Ratmen Beastmen = Minotaurs, Saytres, Centaurs, etc. Oh My! Orks = Orks Vampire Counts = Undead Vampire Coast = Undead but Wetter. Tomb Kings = Undead but sandy Chaos: Part 2
Yeah!! Some pointed out the missing trailers as well. Will be sure to watch these before going to the other videos.. Thanks for the extra info!! Kinda chuckled at lizardmen being self explanatory 😂
@@OntheSidePH I hope I didn’t make it sound rude or anything. I had no intentions. I understood why you might think they were just humans, especially the dark elves. They really didn’t show any pointed ears, just flashy armor and purple fire. But I can’t wait to see your reactions to more of the warhammer trailers!! Especially “the Prophet and the Warlord”
Oh not at all!! We greatly appreciate the clarifications 😁😁 Was more familiar with Humans from Warcraft so thats why I initially called them as such. Yes we're interested to see more! ❤❤
The cinematic trailers for the first Total War Warhammer are also worth checking out! There's a full compilation of them as well. That's where the humans come in ;) They don't get much focus in Total Warhammer 2
The metal faced man is Malekith, the Witch King of the Druchii (Dark Elves). He is over 5000 years old. He is an accomplished Wizard and even better Warrior. His mother is Morathi, also a powerful Wizard. It is because of Morathi's machinations why the Elves split.
@@OntheSidePH I believe she is but I wouldn't know since I don't have the Total War Warhammer video games. I have the original miniatures for the table top game. Again, Warhammer Fantasy was a tabletop miniatures war game that started in the 80's. There are multiple factions which are: Chaos Dwarves: Evil Dwarves who enslave others to mine, build and be sacrificed to their dark god The Empire: Renaissance Human faction. Orcs and Goblins: Greenskins who are constantly raiding, looting and fighting even amongst themselves. Greenskins have no knowledge of the word Peace. Realm of Chaos: This one would take awhile to explain. In a nutshell, this is five factions spread by three main factions. These are the Bad Human faction, Beastmen and Demons. The five factions here are Chaos Undivided: all 4 of the dark gods worshipped equally Khorne: The Blood God. God of Rage and violence. Those who find his favor become more skilled and stronger and more fearsome in battle. Tzeentch: the changer of ways. This is the god of scheming, magic, conspiracies, trickery. Following this guy can earn you great power but you must also be careful because it may come at a very heavy cost to you and the irony is it could have been all just as planned. Rumor has it that Q is a champion of this God Nurgle: the god of pestilence and plague. Are you suffering from a disease or sickness that just won't go away embrace this God and his Blessing will be that you will not die ever from disease you will be immune to all illness however the cost is you will be disfigured you'll probably grow fat and ugly but you will not die from disease and you'll be stronger harder to kill. FYI this God was very powerful and prevalent in the year 2020 of our world and a world leader with a reputation for saying stupid things was his chosen champion. Proof very simple he contracted a very dangerous virus that was raging the world in 2020 and he did not die and said he was blessed by his God... Slaanesh: the prince of Chaos. This God is basically the god of excess some people will think simply put sex drugs Rock and roll. It's more than that thankfully think of all the sex all the drugs all the rock and roll and now pump it up a notch. Think of all the sex you've had or you like and now mix in the stuff that you would like to do and then add in the stuff that you would never thought of doing but once you do it you get hooked and you get deeper and deeper into that rabbit hole until the point is you're not satisfied if anything and you start doing worse and worse things just the satisfy yourself to the point that you're now engaging in rape cannibalism murder pedophilia bestiality. Or you start getting a tattoo and then you like to sensation of the needle on your skin so you start getting more tattoos but eventually having a part of your body covered up in tattoos isn't enough so you now start getting more parts of your body covered in tattoos just to get that same sensation. Or you start doing drugs that you never thought would be possible like murdering someone getting their blood mixing it with cocaine and crystal meth and then injected into your body and then before long you have to start doing other things depraved things just to get that same high or to get a brand new high. FYI it was chaos that wants the great invasion following the collapse of the polar Gates and resulted in the elves the dwarves in The Elizabeth almost being annihilated along with every being on the planet. Morality was secretly a worshiper of Slaanesh and the reason why her husband fell into deeper darkness after pulling the sword of Khaine in following his death why her son became evil and the elves were split into the house and the dark elves.
@@OntheSidePH other factions also include Dwarves: a noble race of engineers Craftsman. The last thing you want to do is be included in their great book of grudges cuz to dwarves grudges are paid off in either gold or in blood which is what they prefer too. Following the great invasion they rebuilt their empire and became allied with the elves and they were very prosperous years but then came the great betrayal in which the dark elves framed the house in a war broke out between the Elves and the dwarves it ended with the death of the Phoenix King and while the war has been over for about a few thousand years the dwarves have never forgotten or forgiven the elves. In addition it was the dwarves that created an alliance of friendship with the humans allowing the Empire to be created. And handgun which they have passed on to the humans but again the problem with the dwarves is the obsession with gold and precious stones and they're stubbornness still they are very loyal dedicated fires who will not admit that they've made a mistake. Tomb Kings: basically the mummy Egyptians type. The tomb kings were originally the first human faction but through the machinations of a great sorcerer known as Nagash, this civilization was wiped out in a war against Nagash. In the end the Great necromancer cast a spell which was supposed to bring all of his people back from the dead under his control but because of some mistakes and interference the ritual was flawed and when the tomb kings were resurrected they were not under the control of the great necromancer and instead you have the different Kings of the civilization fighting each other over control of the entire land of what used to be their great Empire. The tomb Kings guard with server their treasures from all robbers toon King or anything else. Originally the tomb Kings was part of a faction called the undead but then what they did is that they decided to break the undead in the two different factions which became the tomb Kings and the vampire counts. Skaven: the skaven or the ratman. What is known is that there's a thing called warpstone which is the stuff of pure chaos and some rats ate it mutated them. The scaven are basically very Machiavellian they're cool because of their schemes and the way they're such cowards but they're also insane geniuses one of the weapons is called a warped fire thrower think of a flamethrower but instead of throwing out flame it's throwing out warp Stone which has been refined to point that it's very combustible flammable. Skaven also create abominational monsters like the rat ogre in other sorts of monsters. You cannot trust the scaven because they do a lot of backstabbing double dealing treachery. They also worship the Great Horned rat who has been identified as having a cult of human worshipers on another world in which he is known as Mickey mouse. The skaven wish the man things of their world were as stupid as the man things of the world that the great horned rat reigns supreme on. The high elves: a very Noble arrogant race long lived who sometimes feel the only they are the ones that can hold back the realm of Chaos. Also engaged in a 5,000-year-old civil war against the dark elves. The elves are a dying race but still they are very powerful in terms of magic and military might. Dark Elves: following the first great war against chaos the most Savage and bloodthirsty of the elves went to join with Aenarion the first king of the elves. Dark Elves are very sadistic and cruel it is sad that if you are to be captured by dark elves you best try to kill yourself than to suffer under them. They see everyone else as slaves good enough only for whatever sadistic pleasures they have the gladi arenas or first being sacrificed to the Lord of murder Wood Elves: after the war between the Elves and the dwarves ended the witch King launched his assault against the high ounce the new Phoenix King ordered the recall of all the elves living on the old world in the colonies to come back and serve in the defense of her Island home. Some Elves refused and declared themselves independent of the Phoenix King rather than fighting another war against these separatist elves the Phoenix King allowed them to do that these elves became rustic rule in very Savage. They are guardians of the forest. Bretonnia: think King Arthur knights of the round table but without the round table and the language is French. But this isn't the world of chivalry under classic Disney it is more the world of chivalry under today's Disney in which the people are in extreme poverty in the Lords don't give a rats about them Lizard men: followers of the old ones that are still trying to bring about the old ones plans long after the old ones have disappeared. And as you have seen they Ride dinosaurs Dogs of War: Mercenaries mainly from Tilea which is Warhammer Italy Vampire Counts: the gas created a serum a potion that resulted in the creation of vampires but the serum was consumed by a woman named neferata the queen of ancient lahmia became the first vampire and she spread this curse to others in her Court. As a result your city became known for its decadence and the dark secret that was going on eventually word got out what was really happening in a large army was sent from multiple cities to fight these monstrosities with their creator in the gash and it resulted in the destruct complete and utter destruction of the old civilization and the vampires broke off in the different factions. These factions are the lamians which follow their Queen and they're known for basically dial and a preference of women over men. The Necarch which are based on the Nosferatu. Magic wise they are the most powerful but they are also completely insane seeking only destroy all life and raise the life as new zombies and skeletons and ghosts. The blood dragons are focused on fighting a blood dragon though what they've done is that the purpose is fighting the greatest and best of warriors that they can come across and only then do they after doing that do they think of themselves as Worthy of consuming the blood of a dragon and when they can do that they no longer need to live off drinking blood of humans or anything else. The Striogi are completely degenerates they have completely evolved you look more like giant goals now they're shunned by their own kind. Von Carstien: the classic Dracula vampires Harkon: the Pirates of the Vampire Coast. This faction was just mentioned but never really explored or given rules on so yeah brand new only for the video game
@@OntheSidePH it is very deep. Until the end times Warhammer had gone through eight total editions. Among the players after the end times some players were so curious about what had happened that they went rogue and actually got a lawyer on retainer and created their own 9th edition rules for Warhammer but they changed it so they wouldn't get sued they changed the names of some of the factions and basically improved on some of the rules. As I mentioned before I actually do the model miniatures I have been doing the miniatures since Iowa's 15 years old I am currently 43 years old. Right now while my son is doing Minecraft and making himself a Lego Minecraft set I am painting some miniatures of vampires. Now the thing is when it comes to the models you can actually customize the miniatures and also paint them however you want. There is a magazine called white dwarf which was basically a catalog and articles originally for role playing games but then be but then was made into a catalog for Warhammer stuff. In the older ones they were all these ideas on how to make terrain or also how to make customization miniatures called conversions so what you can do is you can get like a sword and head from one miniature and then attach it to another miniature and get pieces from another miniature to make your own customized miniature. I have seen pictures of for tomb King somebody actually made The scorpion King based on the Rock. Another example is for the dogs of war somebody made a general and it looks exactly like Jack Sparrow after it's been painted. There is a hero miniature for the human faction called a witch hunter so what I did is I got a miniature from another company and then all I did was attach a flintlock pistol to his side and painted him as if he was Solomon Kane from Robert e Howard stories and I'll have my own witch hunter. From the 99 cent store during Halloween I found a skeleton dragon which I bought which I plan to use for my vampire counts army as a skeletal dragon. Beats scouring eBay for the zombie dragon in pain like maybe $200 for it especially since it's not made anymore or the newer version which might be about a hundred something dollars but it comes with a mounted vampire to ride him. One last thing the history of Warhammer is loosely based on our own history with some versions of actual history from us or heroes or literary characters added in. For example vlad von carstein is based on the actual Dracula. The first emperor of the empire as well as their God is named Sigmar. Now Sigmar is a combination of Conan the barbarian and Charmalange. Neferata is based on Akasha the Queen of the Damned. There is a character from the skirmish game called Mordheim named Henri "Altdorf" Jonas who is Warhammer Indiana Jones, Repanse de Lyonesse is Joan of Arc, the Skaven (Rat People) inflicted on the Empire the Black Death plague, Cathay (Warhammer China) has a Great Wall. And finally there is an alternate universe game called Blood Bowl which is basically a rugby game but the miniatures look like American football players playing a game with emphasis on killing or injuring the other team as well as scoring touchdowns. In addition the names of some of the teams like the Bad Bay hackers, the Dwarf Giants, the Orcland Raiders
The people with high peaked helmets are the elves of Ulthuan and Naggoroth. High Elves and Dark Elves. The frog priest are the Slann, the first created by the Old Ones.
Races in these trailers are the high Elves (humans as you called them), the dark Elves (the dark humans you said), the Lizardmen, the Skaven (rats), the empire of man, the Orks, the Vampire counts, Dwarf, the wood elves.
Awesome!! Sorry for calling them humans lol, it was a bit hard to differentiate if they were in gener humans (like in Warcraft) or specifically just elves! Which one was the empire of Man?
how many races? 26 currently :D, all of them with different factions and subfactions 13:10 Dark elves vs High elves 20:20 yes, but you didnt see the humans or dark humans yet hehe 20:40 all 3 Elf races have a sister unit: - Sisters of Avelorn are the magic archers of the high elves - Sisters of Slaughter are the masked, whip wielding dark elves - Sisters of the Thorn are Deer riding magical cavalry of the wood elves
Warcraft was originally intended to be a franchised Warhammer Universe game which is why warcraft may remind you in many ways of the Warhammer universe and Total War: Warhammer. The strategic layer of gameplay is turn based like you said, you build your economy and units, but then Total War's "unique" gimmick through the entire series is that you can then take those armies into real-time tactical fights on the battlefield.
Mortal Empires is a free grand campaign that combines the races from Warhammer 1 ( Empire of Man, Bretonnia, Dwarfs, Vampire Counts, Beastmen, Woodelves, Norsca and Warriors of Chaos) and Warhammer 2 (High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Skaven/ratmen, Tomb Kings and Vampire Coast/vampirates) if you own both games.
haha its funny to watch how they have no clue what is going on :D total war warhammer 2 is a war between high elves, dark elves, lizardman and Skaven (the Ratman) later on the Tomb kings (Ägyptian undead) and the vampire coast (vampire pirats) were added then also the races of the the first game were added: the empire (humans), the vampire Counts (land Vampires :D), the greenskins (orks, goblins and others), dwarfs, woodelves, Bretonnia (a mix of english and french humans), norsca (vikings corrupted by chaos) and finaly chaoswarriors (demonlike humans)
@@OntheSidePHwell it depends what you mean by important because the'yre the DLC trailers. The DLC trailers are hands down the best ones so I could compile a list if you'd like
Thanks for dipping into the Warhammer fantasy scene. A lot of warhammer fantasy and warhammer 40k games are hit and miss, but this is definitely one of those that are a hit. If this interested you, you can also look into the different factions in the fantasy lore. Or if you're reeeeeeeeaaally into warhammer, you can also have a look into 40k 😄 Looking forward to more of your videos, nice to see more pinoys get into other genres other than the usual ML and LoL or Dota franchises

Total warhammer 1 and 3 please, and more 2 (you missing few trailers), they are elves btw not humans, the bad elves are dark elves, the good guys in trailee is lizardman actually, the human factions are on first tw warhammer game, nice reaction guys, greetings from 🇮🇩
I love the fact that you guys don't know what's going on in warhammer. Warhammer inspired from guns and dragons and of course Lord and duns and Dragons was inspired by Lord of the Rings so warhammers basically a large scale army game in fantasy worlds. The lowest long but simply put what you're watching those are not human factions I don't know if there are humans in war and this Warhammer game there are they do exist but they're not put in this video game. So what you are watching are the High Elves against dark elves the lizard men are the other faction and then the rat people are called skaven. Simply put the world of Warhammer is basically almost the same as our planets with the continents and so the game is mainly focused on the new world which would be of course South America which is known as lustria. Lustria is where the lizard infection are the frog people they're called the Slann. In ancient times an alien race known only as the old ones came to the Warhammer world and they were doing who knows what they were responsible for the creation of humans dwarves elves lizard men ogres Orcs goblins. The lizard men were the ones that actually knew of the old ones and the Slann were like their chosen servants or so the powerful Wizards. Something happened it's never been known how but they had created like these warp gates in the North Pole and South Pole of that world they collapsed into from those gates to create a rift in reality into the thing called the realm of Chaos in this reality that's where like demons come from so the demons launched a full scale invasion of the world industria the lizard been fought them off as best they could and in Ulthuan which is where the elves are from it was it's an island basically the world equivalent of the elf homeland is Atlantis. The elves were getting massacred because they don't really know much for war there was however a very brave elf known as a Aenarion. She became the first king of the elves and ended up marrying the queen. Before the first king the elves were only ruled by a queen. So he became the Phoenix King and launched a successful War against the demons but the demons were still coming from that riff that tear in the fabric of reality. A Marion had twin children with his Queen however during a campaign he received terrible news his wife murdered his children disappeared so Aenarian swore that he would draw the sword of the god of murder to fight against the demons he did so and it cursed his bloodline. During the recovery process he became darker twisted and he took a new Queen the sorceress morathi. From that marriage came a new son named Malekith. During the war what happened was that the king had a friend named calador who was the most powerful of all the sorcerers and his proposal was to use a ritual that would seal off the realm of Chaos the only drawback is it would drain all the magic away from the world and magic is what the elves depended on to use for their weapons and of course their magic the fight against the demons. Tell order did the ritual in a Marion got his forces and armies to fight against the demons. In the end a Marion died calador and the most powerful Wizards known at the time were stuck and stasis maintaining of vortex which as you saw in the trailer was draining the the magic. Then the problem was rebuilding. Because a Marion had become twisted by drawing that sword of the god of murder there were many that felt that his remaining son was unfit to become the next king A thousand years almost later after that a bloody civil war broke out with that son against the king that was elected in a civil war that has lasted over 4,000 years. The original Warhammer is basically a tabletop miniatures game what you do is you get the arm the miniatures you paint them however you want you can even customize how they look like in when it comes to building them. Unfortunately though the Warhammer world was destroyed in 2014-2015 here in a game series called or campaign called the end times. A lot of people have not forgiven the company that makes Warhammer for this. So for many other people who are fans of this this is a great way to do Warhammer fantasy again and of course a lot of people like you are going like what is this what is this then they find out about the miniatures which are already expensive enough to begin with are not trying to acquire the miniatures which makes the prices go up even more. Still Warhammer it's a very large world with over 30 years of lore
Love this!! Thank you for the detailed background!! Apologies for us not being too familiar to the lore. It does seem like Warhammer has inspired a lot of other games and genres 😁
Hi ! thanks for reacting to this little series of game trailers, I love it when I see people get introduced to this amazing series.
Each race gives you two startup legendary lords:
Lizardmen: Lord Mazdamundi the great Slaan who master the lore of light and Kroq-gar the mighty old blood warrior (these are good guys by the way as they are the oldest race in the game, and all they care is to protect the world)
High Elf: Loremaster Teclis and his twin brother Tyrion the current Phoenix king they seek ways to restore the vortex.
Lots of misspelling in my comment here cause of autocorrect lol
@@OntheSidePH I recomand to watch Total War Warhammer 1 first. There is no real mainstory but the trailer are cool and you won't miss any faction.
Thanks for the suggestion! Will definitely check more of the trailers out 😁
Warcraft was heavily inspired by Warhammer and its world, and Starcraft (by the same company) was a recycled Warhammer 40,000 game that didn't get licensed. Each of the three Total War games focus on different races in the setting; you'll find the humans, dwarves, vampires, orcs, and goblins in the first game. In the third, you'll find many daemons among others, and eve more inbetween. The games combine their content as they release and develop to create one big super war game.
Oh wow, didn't know Warcraft and Starcraft were heavily influenced by this series of games... that's why the logos are also so similar
@@OntheSidePH get into warhammer 40k it's great!!!
Which means there's a lot of room for expansions ;-)
21:45 The blondes are the Sisters of Avelorn, a High Elf unit introduced with the Queen and Crone DLC. The Dark Elves featured here are Sisters of Slaughter, a new Dark Elf unit.
Total War: Warhammer 1, 2 and 3 are not the only Total War games btw, there's a lot more - in this case based on history:
Shogun: Total War, Medieval: Total War, Rome: Total War, Medieval II: Total War, Empire: Total War, Napoleon: Total War, Total War: Shogun II, Total War: Rome II, Total War: Attila, Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, Total War: Three Kingdoms and Total War Saga: Troy.
Awesome! Thanks for the clarifications 😁
Oh there's still clear bad guys, like Dark Elves, they're literally High Elves but none of the good parts.
LOL gotcha!

Humans:
The Empire & Britannia = Medieval/King Author looks.
Kislev = Frozen, Old World Russian feel.
Grand Cathay = Mythical, Ancient Chinese ascetic.
Elves:
High Elves = Pristine White with more Lord of the Rings Stylized armor.
Wood Elves = Almost the same but more green, one with nature ascetics.
Others:
Lizardmen = self explanatory
Skaven = Ratmen
Beastmen = Minotaurs, Saytres, Centaurs, etc. Oh My!
Orks = Orks
Vampire Counts = Undead
Vampire Coast = Undead but Wetter.
Tomb Kings = Undead but sandy
Chaos: Part 2
Yeah!! Some pointed out the missing trailers as well. Will be sure to watch these before going to the other videos..
Thanks for the extra info!! Kinda chuckled at lizardmen being self explanatory 😂
Bretonnia*
Ha, a rat race
*OH YES. THERE IS A RAT RACE*
😂😂
The first 3 factions shown are High Elves, Dark Elves and Lizardmen.
Thanks for the clarification ❤❤
I see!! Yes we'll check that out as well.. thank you so much 😁😁😁🥰🥰
@@OntheSidePH There's also quite a few trailers for Total War: Warhammer 3 as well.
"So, there's humans, dark humans, elves, and dark elves?"
You're not technically wrong.
She: oh elves! I like elves.
Dawis: elves are disgusting.
The metal faced man is Malekith, the Witch King of the Druchii (Dark Elves). He is over 5000 years old. He is an accomplished Wizard and even better Warrior. His mother is Morathi, also a powerful Wizard. It is because of Morathi's machinations why the Elves split.
I see!! Is Morathi a playable unit?
@@OntheSidePH I believe she is but I wouldn't know since I don't have the Total War Warhammer video games.
I have the original miniatures for the table top game.
Again, Warhammer Fantasy was a tabletop miniatures war game that started in the 80's. There are multiple factions which are:
Chaos Dwarves: Evil Dwarves who enslave others to mine, build and be sacrificed to their dark god
The Empire: Renaissance Human faction.
The five factions here are
Chaos Undivided: all 4 of the dark gods worshipped equally
Khorne: The Blood God.
Rumor has it that Q is a champion of this God
Nurgle: the god of pestilence and plague.
@@OntheSidePH other factions also include
Dwarves: a noble race of engineers Craftsman.
They see everyone else as slaves good enough only for whatever sadistic pleasures they have the gladi arenas or first being sacrificed to the Lord of murder
Wood Elves: after the war between the Elves and the dwarves ended the witch King launched his assault against the high ounce the new Phoenix King ordered the recall of all the elves living on the old world in the colonies to come back and serve in the defense of her Island home.
But this isn't the world of chivalry under classic Disney it is more the world of chivalry under today's Disney in which the people are in extreme poverty in the Lords don't give a rats about them
Lizard men: followers of the old ones that are still trying to bring about the old ones plans long after the old ones have disappeared. And as you have seen they Ride dinosaurs
Dogs of War: Mercenaries mainly from Tilea which is Warhammer Italy
Vampire Counts: the gas created a serum a potion that resulted in the creation of vampires but the serum was consumed by a woman named neferata the queen of ancient lahmia became the first vampire and she spread this curse to others in her Court.
Von Carstien: the classic Dracula vampires
Harkon: the Pirates of the Vampire Coast. This faction was just mentioned but never really explored or given rules on so yeah brand new only for the video game
Wow, appreciate you fleshing this all out! The history is much much deeper than we initially thought!!
Got it!! 😀 Gotta remember all these names lol
Please you must react to "Astartes" right now. You would absolutely love it.
We'll add this to our list!! Thank you ❤❤
Races in these trailers are the high Elves (humans as you called them), the dark Elves (the dark humans you said), the Lizardmen, the Skaven (rats), the empire of man, the Orks, the Vampire counts, Dwarf, the wood elves.

how many races? 26 currently :D, all of them with different factions and subfactions 13:10 Dark elves vs High elves 20:20 yes, but you didnt see the humans or dark humans yet hehe 20:40 all 3 Elf races have a sister unit:

- Sisters of Slaughter are the masked, whip wielding dark elves
- Sisters of the Thorn are Deer riding magical cavalry of the wood elves
26 races is crazy.... wow!
Mortal Empires is a free grand campaign that combines the races from Warhammer 1 ( Empire of Man, Bretonnia, Dwarfs, Vampire Counts, Beastmen, Woodelves, Norsca and Warriors of Chaos) and Warhammer 2 (High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Skaven/ratmen, Tomb Kings and Vampire Coast/vampirates) if you own both games.

total war warhammer 2 is a war between high elves, dark elves, lizardman and Skaven (the Ratman) later on the Tomb kings (Ägyptian undead) and the vampire coast (vampire pirats) were added
then also the races of the the first game were added: the empire (humans), the vampire Counts (land Vampires :D), the greenskins (orks, goblins and others), dwarfs, woodelves, Bretonnia (a mix of english and french humans), norsca (vikings corrupted by chaos) and finaly chaoswarriors (demonlike humans)
