Sam I’ve been watching many Russian video creators over the past couple of years with Russian in Russia and outside Russia. I’m sure you have seen street interviews from Daniil Orain.
He is the future of Russia and many of the people he has interviewed that want to live in PEACE.

As a Canadian I really appreciate you did this particular topic. I always wondered if Russians were aware that some Canadian speak French, like me, I'm very happy to see that no one has hard feelings about Canada. I mean they pretty much said everything there is to say about Canada, winter, hockey, maple syrup, French and English. The only big thing missing is the famous Poutine dish.
    Beau travail Sam !!

Sam i have a funny (recent) one about that place. The guy that cuts my hair was telling me inside the barbers that a Russian guy was in for a haircut. He sat him down, ask him what he wanted, & they got talking.
The Russian guy told the barber in the conversation that Russia is the largest country in the world. My Glasgow barber guy was startled and said to him that Canada was the biggest country in the world, - he was so convinced, he insisted.
The Russian guy pointed to his own head and said “i bet you this haircut that it is Russia”. The barber agreed, carried on cutting his hair, and then went over to his desk to Google it as the Russian put his jacket back on.
The barber said “You’re right!” as the Russian nodded and left. The barber was telling me about it and i was holding my sides laughing.
100% true. That was when the recent health crisis was on.

But that's understandable considering America 🇺🇸 is a country where people around the world would know about more. But we Canadians are more than just hockey and maple syrup and having two national languages, English and French. Cheers 🍻 from Canada 🇨🇦 to you in Russia 🇷🇺 Sam. 😊

Thank you for this charming video. It makes me feel relaxed, as a Canadian, that most of the people you asked didn't really know anything about Canada. But they also seemed positive about my country. When you don't know anything about a country and you're asked about it, it's a kind of Rorschach test; you project your imagination on to it. So what your video reveals to me is 1) Canada isn't much on the news in Russia, and 2) the Russians you spoke with are very nice, positive people. Plus your locations were beautiful and interesting, so I want to visit now!

These people are either clueless about "good" country of Canada or too polite to mention that 🤫 On 22 September 2023, Yaroslav Hunka, a Ukrainian Canadian who fought in the SS Division Galicia of the military wing of the Nazi Party, the Waffen-SS, was invited to the House of Commons of Canada to be recognized by Speaker Anthony Rota, the Member of Parliament for Hunka's district. Hunka received two standing ovations from all house members, including Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, other party leaders, and visiting Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. ----> And the very same government, that just stood up in ovations to a Nazi Waffen SS veteran, now threatens citizens with life in prison for "hate" speech online, read Bill C-63 😄

Its great here in Canada! The only issues I would say is with the Government, our politicians, our culture, our food and our southern neighbour.... And our economy. The average phone bill is $120 a month, Gas in Vancouver, the only major city on the west coast, is above $2 a liter, not a gallon, a liter. Rent for a 1 bedroom apartment will cost you on average $1600 in the city of 100,000 that I live in. Car insurance will cost maybe $150 a month, a bus ride is $2 and our public transit system is utter nonsense, the only thing you can relay on is that you cannot relay on it. An individual will spend $300 on average on food alone. The average wage is between $1800-$2200, if you spend $1600 on rent and $300 on food and $120 on your phone, you have about $100 to pay all your other bills. Our politicians are corrupt, our economy is trash. We are obsessed with 'progressive' ideas. Like legalizing drugs, and assisted euthanasia, you would not want to bring up kids through our Education system, it will make you cry. they will learn all 3000 genders before multiplication. It true though. Canadian immigration always was tiny
It only got boosted in the late 1990s when europe&usa began to restrict immigrant visa and make it tough to get in legaly cause they had too much migrants
After that canada, australia & new zeland. Became like the easy country to immigrate to. If your immigrant visa got refused in europe&usa 😆

If your young you can Forget about owning a home and just being able to by groceries is a luxury. As far as health care we pay for it through our taxes yes you don't have to lose your home to go see the doctor but the wait list to see a specialist could take over two years. We don't have enough family doctors to go around so if you get sick its off to the walk in clinic or Emergency where you can expect to wait from 8 t0 12 hours if not more. or die on a stretcher in the hallway which has happened in one province. it will be interesting to see what happens when election time comes around in Oct 2025 or hopefully sooner with a non confidence vote but that's not likely.

However, syrup was not made (it was apparently not very popular then), and the trees were used for decorative purposes: in the Arkhangelskoe-Tyurikovo estate in the Moscow region, there is still a sugar maple, which is 250 years old. And I can say that from time to time I buy maple syrup here, which is made in Astrakhan, a city in the south of Russia. Big land mass with a relative small population. Canada is a minor player in world politics nowadays.

I can answer but only for myself. List: Queen Elizabeth, Queen, Sex Pistols, Ozzy and more wonderful rock band, sailors and ships, longbow, robin hood. Of course I could be wrong about the writers. And I don’t want to affect your neighbors on the islands but Shakespeare must be named exactly. And we'll end with Merlin.

Canada and Russia are similar in many ways but Russia is on a grander scale. Canada was always more European then the US,with similar geography to Russia, similar resources to Russia but again Russia takes it all to a greater scale then Canada.
