This was the same time the Plaxton Pointer Dennis Darts on the 428 were painted in Aquamarine Blue with White on the front and the Marshall Capital Dennis Darts were painted Grey underneath the Red with the White line painted near the roof
This is a brilliant video, have watched this many times, especially considering it used to be one of my local routes. And this was only filmed a few weeks before I was born 😮 Everywhere has changed a lot, particularly Bexleyheath and Woolwich as I used to live/visit these areas. A couple of interesting examples of the changes in Bexleyheath to this video: Those billboards at 31:50, that later became a Sainsbury’s The Lloyds TSB at 34:09, now a “Dentix” Overall it’s a really amazing video. Looking at your channel I see you got videos mainly from 1998-1999, and 2008-2010. It would be great to see some more Bexleyheath/Woolwich routes from those eras if you have any? It’s fine if you don’t and I’m glad you upload these videos to help people like us remember the good old days 😊
The Volvo Olympians were also used by London Central the single door versions for the 51 and later the 492 when the route was extended to Bluewater in March 1999 and the Volvo Olympians used by London Central can be seen on a variety of double decker routes from Bexleyheath Bus Garage like the 89, 229, 401 and the 422 not just on the 51 and the 492
Some of the Volvo Olympians that went to Bluewater that time were normally painted in Arriva Aquamarine Blue livery because Bluewater is outside of Greater London
3 of the Leyland Titans are featured in this video which are operated by London Central on routes 89, 229 and the 422 and the Leyland Titans operated by Stagecoach Selkent normally comes out of Catford and Bromley Bus Garages only

The Volvo Olympians were being used alongside the Titans from Catford and Bromley Bus Garages and not to mention Bexleyheath Bus Garage mainly uses the Leyland Titans on the 89, 229, 401 and the 422 and the Volvo Olympians at Bexleyheath were mainly used on the 51 and the 492 and Plumstead Bus Garage mainly uses the Leyland Olympians and the Volvo Olympians and the buses that replaced the Titans are the Plaxton Presidents and the Dennis Tridents

The Volvo Olympians for Stagecoach Selkent, which they were built in 1995, were originally for the 53 while all other routes from Plumstead Bus Garage mainly used the Leyland Olympians built in 1986, but in 1999 the Volvo Olympians from Stagecoach East London, which they were built in 1997 and 1998 were transferred to Plumstead Bus Garage for route 96, 122, 177 and the 472 to replace the remaining Leyland Olympians until the newer Dennis Tridents arrived
This bus was transferred to Catford Bus Garage to replace the Leyland Titans and the Leyland Olympians after being replaced at Plumstead Bus Garage by the newer ALX400 Dennis Tridents
That bus sounds a bit simular and sounds like the Volvo Olympians from London General and the Volvo Olympians from London Central sounds a bit simular and sounds a bit like the newer Plaxton Presidents

Great film, Plumstead High Street looks very similar to when I moved away, and that was only in 2016 😝😝😝
