Don't be shy, buddy! Brazilians love to talk and welcome foreigners. And thanks for sharing such an amazing experience! Take care.

    I could have visited as many beautiful places on the way to Sao Paulo as I could have visited in the state of Rio Grande do Sul (Gramado, Canela, Bento Gonçalves and other cities), a region of German and Italian colonization in Brazil. In the state of Santa Catarina it could have passed through Floripa, Balneário Camboriú and Blumenau (city with the largest German colony in Brazil). In the state of Parana, it could have been in Curitiba, which is the state capital (a beautiful city full of parks). Be very careful on the roadside where there are favelas, as it is dangerous due to drug trafficking.

I’m Brazilian although been living in the U.S. for 45 years. The Go 4 is a new generation version of the classic Cushmans manufactured here since the 50’s, manufactured in Canada and adopted by multiple municipalities as a meter maid vehicle that here in California is rated as a motorcycle allowing you to park 90 degrees. Like I said previously, São Paulo is pretty chill, it's safer than some of the other capitals of the world. The state of São Paulo in general is very nice and pleasant, it's just big, so it comes with all the problems of a state the size of some countries. But for the love of god, all the warnings you've received should be taken seriously in Rio. Rio is basically where all the crime and violence in Brazil is. I don't advise even going there at all, but since you're going anyway, just be very careful.

    • @samil5601
      @samil5601 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's just nonsense. There's crime all over Brazil and Rio is not even close to the top per capita, statistically.
      Most crime affecting tourists will, of course, happen in Rio as they get by far the most tourists.

      @Schultz3 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@samil5601 From the places he is going to visit, it's still one of the most dangerous. And don't give me that claim of "there's crime all over Brazil". Of course there's crime, but are you trying to say it's all equal? That his safety is the same in the state of São Paulo and Rio? Have you ever been to Rio? Or if you're from Rio, have you ever been to another state?
      I've visited Minas, Rio, and all over São Paulo, guess in what state I have seen traffickers carrying AK-47's out in the open? Guess in which state I have seen lots of mounted gun armored cars? Crimes happening in front of me?
      Please, don't spread misinformation. Rio is dangerous, claiming otherwise is either the famous wishful thinking from the poor fools that insist on living there and defending it (for some reason), or just plain wrong.

      Schultz3@@Schultz3 I've spent a year and a half in Rio and have visited half a dozen other states too. You hear the same horror stories about every location in Brazil. Everywhere you go in Brazil, they tell you somewhere else is safer.
      Statistics are statistics, though. You need to be alert everywhere in Brazil. It is definitely false to state that it is only Rio that has issues.
      Yes, there are people armed to their teeth in Rio, but that rarely impacts on tourists. Most of that business happens far away from places where tourists roam in Rio. The trick is that tourists can opt out of putting their possessions in harms way by leaving them at home, whereas locals have to carry on with their daily lives.

      @@samil5601Dude, your information is simply false, the homicide rate in São Paulo, for example, is much lower than that of large American cities, such as Los Angeles, Philadelphia or Detroit, just do a Google.
      Rio is really violent, and so are other larger cities, but in smaller cities in the interior like the ones he passes through, the crime rate is literally dozens of times lower than that of any large American city, or europeans capitals like London or Paris. You are basing your information on horror stories and not scientific statistics

    It’s nice to see you’re speaking spanish to Brazilians. Inwould say the majority of us understand like 60% of what you’re trying to say. But well, it’s better than nothing.
    But you should learn like key works that would help you a lot. If you’re going to Minas Gerais after sao paulo, please take a moment to pass Bragança Paulista, we are about 1hr in the Road to Minas. (Fernão Dias), I hmcan surely give you a lot of tips and you can get to know my Beautiful City and region too 🤘🏽

    You should not label the whole city as dangerous. Yes, there are some dangerous neighbourhoods like most big cities in world but most of the city is safe as long as one takes the same precautions as in London, NY, Chicago, Paris, etc… if you’d spend time there you’d get to love the city for its cosmopolitan lifestyle.
