This is a very helpful video, so thank you! I do think that everyone should turn off the running water in their sink while scrubbing things. It saves a lot of a precious resource.
Thanks, Sher, for your video. Another video talks about a filter that also needs to be cleaned - or replaced if it's been removed by pulling out the roots of the previous planting. At 3:33 you can see the slot where the filter is supposed to go. Filters are for sale at Aerogarden and also on Amazon. I'm glad I watched your video and the other one. I like to get a full-spectrum education on my projects, so I often watch more than one video on a subject. Thanks again.
Your video was so helpful Sher. I inherited an AeroGarden from my sister. She had never cleaned it. It was disgusting. I was ready to throw it away, but glad I came upon your video. Now, I have a clean ready to use AeroGarden. I planted some herbs. Thank you.
I've had one for over a year and got another one recently. I had one on a counter and my husband used the air fryer and everything died so I'm starting fresh with that one. (Who knew?!) I only have basil and parsley in the second one now but it's growing well. I just can't bring the lamp down far enough to start anything else new in that one. Was thinking about tomatoes but when I heard you say they didn't have much flavor, I don't know if I want to try...Let me know if you try again! Good to catch up!
Oh nice! Haha noted about the air fryer. Going to start another round of planting soon! Was traveling a bit the last couple months but done for the year i think (exhausted!) so will plant some fun new stuff :)
Thank you so much....mine was really dirty so it took some scrubbing. I used 1/4 cup bleach thinking that would be better w/ the stains...still some scrubbing and left over stains. Will try vinegar next time!
Thank you She, this is my first time growing with the Harvest xl. I Do I clean it after 4 weeks of growing, or do zI wait until the growing process is over? Again thanks for the info!
Very helpful, Sher. My Aerogarden is now clean. Where did you get the top of shelf slider -from which you got your vinegar? I could really use a couple!
I just bought one from Facebook market so I will try to clean ….Also, the white marks on your counter should come off if use sand paper (start of with 120 grits and go all the way to 7000) with water , your countertop will be smooth and new again
Thx for the tip! Hm are you saying i should wet the sandpaper and scrub? Or put some water on the counter over the mark and then sand paper? Its safe to sandpaper marble?
@@SherSheGrows yes, it’s safe, that’s how the pros refinish your countertops…..With a water bottle, spray your sandpaper and also spray the spot you need to refinish (make sure you remove any greases areas and start sanding, the water will turn milky color when you sand….use 120, 150, 200, 300, etc to 6000…..you can find the sandpaper kit on Amazon …. There are some videos on TH-cam and Google that can give you additional insight…. You also don’t need to buy any sanders or machines, just use your own muscles

Thank you, Sher! This was so helpful. AeroGarden should link to this because it’s so much better than anything they provide!
Oh hey kelly! You got an aerogarden?

Thanks Sher. It was the vinegar that I couldn’t remember. 😊
Thank you! Very helpful indeed!! ❤
I need help!!! How early do I start pruning? How much do I take off when they are so little? I can't find help anywhere.

Just after the growing process / before you plant something new!
Have never tried my own seeds. Any recommendations for that?
Yup, i have a video on using your own seeds! Check my Aerogarden playlist :)

Great video except you don’t mention how to get the pump to run for five minutes. I had to google that.
1:26 super clean
9:59 a little bit messy
