I've been practicing with this and when I go to take the fill off after the powerclip, the solid color effect comes back instead of being show through. I'm not sure why its doing that.

I figured it out, that step at 8:36 is actually really important. When I changed the color of my graphic to something random, the effect went on how I wanted it to. I've been able to replicate it over and over now. So change the graphic color since its getting removed anyway in the next step.
