01 Jul 2024: 151 Walker vs 164 Bucky vs 856 (explore.org)

Start of video show 856 going up hill to walk the riffles ridge. Next we see164 Bucky running into the riffles. 151 Walker runs after him and fights and dunks Bucky who appears to be stuck on lower ground. Bucky fights until 856 enters river and stands and stares down Walker, allowing Bucky to retreat. 164 Bucky was seen later in the day looking good though he does have a small wound on his neck.

Thank you so much for the full picture of what happened… it was very confusing when seeing this “live” … it was worrisome when Bucky was almost under the water surface for a part of the encounter. I’m relieved to hear no serious injuries that we know of…

Bucky, as seen in other encounters, is good at pushing and swipes quickly with his forepaws, but a drawn out, closeup brawl with the likes of 151 Walker, 856, or 32 Chunk may not be a good idea. Glad he wasn't greatly injured.

Walker will never be a dominant bear. He's way to small to be that. All he can do is to run from the big boys and atrack young males and Otis. He's the only bear that attacks Otis.
