It is awesome that your plans are free but they are a long way from detailed. They basically give you a material/cut list and say "put the pieces together". Glad the video is here for reference.
Sharp looking table Bruce! It's begging for drawers, which you'll probably add once your CNC brings along the obligatory extras. LOL I made my table without drawers at first, but just finished adding in a modular set to mine. I'm very pleased I did! I have storage for all my bits, collet wrenches, clamps, calipers, etc. for the CNC then storage for spray finishes and epoxy. Looking forward to seeing what comes from your workshop next!
Thanks! I've got some storage just to the left of this table for finish and epoxy. I could definitely see me upgrading some storage on here for some bits and extras though!
@@JoeLazzara Yes, I kept the same dimensions (49L x 60W x 30H), although I considered modifying the bottom storage and making it a little bigger. I didn’t simply due to time, but I am completely happy with the table as is. The one change I made was to the casters. I purchased some that drop the legs of the table all the way to the ground because I wanted to avoid any chance the table would wiggle around while in use. They work great! @@tnstolle Hey Randy, thanks for getting back to me. Thats a nice size table. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to go that big because I don't have the room in my garage lol. I figured that once I get the frame built, I can probably adjust the size of the top accordingly. But it can't be less that 4'x4' anyways for the mill I want to get. I also figured I could put my shopvac and dust stopper underneath and still have some type of storage. That's an excellent idea with the casters you used too. It'll definitely keep the table pretty solid. I would think the only time I would use them is if I ever have to move the table, which I'm sure I'd have to at some point lol. Thanks again for getting back to me, I appreciate it buddy.👍
Made the exact same one but used Pocket screws to hide the holes great and easy design cut and setup the frame in about 90 min. Enjoyable to watch and I love your air system in your garage I need one
A question about the intended use... Is there anchoring supports built in under the area that the Y-rails will be attached or was the cnc screwed just into ¾" mdf???
@@BruceAUlrich already had hahaha, thank you!!! Your videos were a vid help along with the onefinity one. Of course I had 4 months to prepare haha, thanks again!
@@BruceAUlrich Yeah Bruce, I think you had an excellent point when you were talking about the 2x4's at the beginning of the video. I could not agree with you more!! It's a great idea using a 2x10 and then ripping it to size because, it just seems like there's never a straight 2 x 4 when you need them lol. I will be doing the same thing you did when I build my table. It just makes sense. Thanks posting this video. 👍
This is a good looking table, Bruce. I've been ding a good amount of research for an outfeed table for my shop. I definitely like your design. It's going to get some pretty good consideration. Thanks for sharing this one!
Will be building my Bruce Ulrich outfeed-assembly table for my onefinity cnc. I think I will ask them to cut my mdf at home depot less mess... I will be making some 2x4s Thanks for the plans
Great table Bruce! Simple and strong. I ordered my onefinity the other day so when that comes in I’ll be referencing this video and your setup video. Thanks!
Nice table, if doing 2x8 to 2x4 do your cross cuts first then rips. Makes it much easier to run on table saw. If you cut your top and shelf square and true no need to do all that squaring with frame, screw perimeters and then add mid supports. Are you getting any deflection in your legs with gantry movement without bracing?
No, I was not getting a significant amount of flex. When I moved shops, I stacked like 1500 lbs of wood on this table and it caused a sag in the middle (It's not meant for that much weight). I have since braced the middle and it's back to flat. I have another video on that fix here: th-cam.com/video/ZTqd_yIj_MA/w-d-xo.html
Really fantastic work, Bruce! Nicely done! 😃 I'm going to need to make something similar for my table saw... It's a contractor's one, you know? So with a cut in one of the corners to fit it in. 😊 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Bruce - thanks for your note. I did finally get the download link email. It took about an hour. Not sure why. I’m ordering a Onefinity X50 woodworker next week and need a home for it. I plan to build yours while I wait the 2-4 weeks for delivery. All the best.
Not sure why it took that long, but glad you got it! If you don’t mind, tell OneFinity I went ya. They’ve recently partnered with my podcast, We Built A Thing, & it would help a lot!
So I'm finishing up my table build for the X35. It actually ended up very similar to yours despite not following your plans. Do you wish you had made a torsion box? Everyone seems to be pushing them, but I guess I don't personally see the benefit of one for my machine. How is yours with one holding up without one?
No, I think a torsion box in this cast is unnecessary. Mine did end up sagging a bit and I had to fix it, but that was because when we moved, I loaded WAY too much stuff (lumber and all kinds of stuff) onto the top and it made it sag. I only put the supports in one direction and I should have had some going the other way too. Would not be hard to do.
Hi Bruce, good job! Have you ever checked if the sides are coplaner? I saw some guys bud a torsion box top. I am waiting for my onefinity and probably overthinking this.
@@BruceAUlrich I have tried to find the rigid foam that you used with your saw to cut the table top on the floor. Home Depot and Lowe’s do not carry it. Where did you get it?
I love how you laid out your shop! I also have a two car garage shop but I didn’t plan properly! I was also wondering, what was the song you used at the beginning of the video?
Thank you! I think I've finally got it laid out in a way I like pretty well and seems to be efficient. I use a music service for the music I use in my videos. I don't think they're just songs you'd come across on Spotify or anything. ;)
Sweet project! Super versatile beyond the CNC table for sure. Question: what do you think about the double locking casters? Do they add a lot of extra stability?
Thanks, Bernie! They really seem to add a lot of stability. I’ve had the ones that only lock the wheel kind of scoot around but these seem to stay put.
Thanks! I figured people would have whatever different wasteboard they wanted. I added some T-track and strips of MDF on top of this once my machine was setup.

Screwed into the MDF

because your table is on wheels does it move around or shake when you use the CNC
I have not found it to ever be an Kasie. It doesn’t move. I got some really large locking casters.

Thanks for the video and plan. Made this in just a few hours. Does the MDF have enough screw holding strength for the OneFinity’s mounting method?

Could this cart be used for someone to lay down on and put their head under the Slurpee dispenser so you don't need a cup? Asking for a friend...
Hmmmm....yeah, I would say definitely! ha ha
I don't think you have to use a unbroken sheet of MDF. You can use two or three peices and the CNC is going to flatten your spoil board anyway.
Oh I know, I was just trying to minimize what I had to buy. Didn’t have any pieces on hand.
nice job but it would need a top cover ideally

wood is nice but i am currently working on my first cnc mill and I'm going to mate the table out of metal square pipes
