You can still use your multi-tool in non weapon areas. Hit number 4 on your keyboard to bring up the mult-tool. If you have the medical gun pop up first, hit 4 again which switches between the two.
I just started playing and wanted to do box delivery because I don't know how trading works yet and I suck at ship fights haha. So this was super helpful. I tried to do the first three box delivery one and I died from a glitch as I was dropping off the last package. I was able to fly back to the marked location, found my stuff and got the package again but it wouldn't let me turn it in so I could never get credit for the mission haha. I tried for about an hour to get it to work but ended up just giving up for the day
If you do like combat though, get a super high damage ship (preferably a vanguard with 4 S2 distortions and a Redeemer Gatling) and run group ERTs. The thing about group ERTs is they pay for 3 ERT missions give you 2 VHRTs and an ERT. That means you get paid nearly 100k a mission, and they take 20 minutes at most. At the very least 250k an hour. Mad cash, and you do need skill to do them now that the AI is a bit more difficult in 3.17.
You can sell those extra boxes from your ship via the local trade console. They however must be placed in a area where a SCU crate would be placed within the ship.
For really new players especially. Like rent a pisces to start, then grind out 50 or so cargos and boom, can afford own pisces, or keep renting and saving up for a free lancer etc. It’s a grind, but if like being a space delivery boy, boom, all set.
Do not forget too loot the bodies and the crates: you can find a lot of expensive items that can be easily sold at any station, often doubling your final income
pisces is pretty much the best for box missions, cargo will hold pretty enough box and your in/out of the ship is faster and got even bigger fuel tank than any of the other ship you've suggested. being fuel efficient and all.
Done two delivery missions now, both unable to complete. last one made me go to 3 different places & the last one was on a desk, no matter what I tried it would not register it as complete. Feels so rewarding to not get rewarded
With 1.17 I have run into an issue where the turrets still try to shoot me down. I found if I do a low flyby, they have their fun with the pot shots but register me as a friendly by the time I swing back around.
I stopped getting delivery missions for a while now. Not sure why. The only ones that pop up for me are the Gundo station missions (personal effects) around Crusader.. I've also tried other areas (ArcCorp, MicroTech, Hurston)
When I first started playing Ramped ships had a tendency to explode as you traversed the ramp so i avoided them for a while, bought a Taurus. Luckily the exploding seems rarer now... hope I didnt jinx it...
Not recently, I'll pick up some deliveries today and see if I have the same issue. 3.17 and .1 have brought us some interesting issues as well as the server strain with the influx of players.
I see people in videos talking to people, but I've yet to find a single NPC with Amy dialogue options Outside the automated trigger set NPCs that talk about stuff at Invictus
Yeah, I like to try on NPCs at desks/counters but so far its been either nothing or some options that are either beverage related or seem placeholdera for a future updated to courier/admin offices. One day!
Box missions used to be great when it was one box pickup and drop off, You could take five or six difforent missions that either had the same pick up location or drop off location for 4 to 6k per box. But CIG saw thats what we where doing and decide to pre bundle 3 boxes together and ruined them with a shitty payout and no way to get paid for delivering only a single box
@@BeardofOz Yeah, Also the box missions weren't tied to a planetary system meaning you could pickup a box on Yela and your drop-off could be on New Babbage, it was a great way to see the system and interact with most things in game. They where a really good for the new player just learning since they where easy and you made good money and 30k didn't kill your profit potential that much. We also had the illegal single box missions that was where the money was at 8k per box and there was only five or six pickup and drop-off locations around the verse for it so you could easily chain multiple of those missions together while also trading in Illegal cargo traveling in what the Astro Pub called the smugglers triangle. The smugglers where easily making as much in Freelancers and Cuttie Blacks per hour as the dedicated larnite haulers where doing in caterpillars back then.
@TechPorkChop 'Help' is rather subjective for this. Will it make the courier life more 'immersive' and interactive? Absolutely! Is it the most 'efficient' and mechanically 'META' way of moving packages? No. Unless they change the way the multitool operates or expands the distance travelled for packages, or locks down locations with multiple turrets or some other method its still faster and easier to do it by hand. If you're looking for a way to 'expand' the gameplay loop of box delivery (or lets be frank, WANT to buy the mule) it's definitely an option. I bought a mule and I love it, but in 3.17.1 it isnt as mechanically 'essential' for the missions. I hope this answer helps!
... you still have to run the exact same distance from the ship to the package location, and from the location back to the ship, even with a tractor. So I don't see how it would speed things up in any way, overall. But, probably fun to play with?
Depending on the logistics of the pickup/drop off locations of the mission the tractor beam would essentially allow you to 'throw' the packages further. So while you'd still have to travel the same distance from ship to point X, you'd only need to Run Once, while throwing thrice, as opposed to running back and forth 3 times.
Can't you make about the same amount of money plus extras in a "destroy narcotics* mission but without the whole running packages part? And not to mention not having to level up the skill tree with tedious underpaying missions. if you're going to do combat anyway, starter merc missions begin at like 12k.
They should add a box mission for 100k, going down a bunker in hurston collecting 3-5 boxes then drop them off somewhere far like microtec into another bunker protected by bad guys.
@BeardofOz The multi box deliveries inferred, we're when you have 3 for delivery 1, 3 for delivery 2, but when you get to the 3rd box in delivery 1, you can also place the 2nd box from delivery 2 because it is also going to be delivered to that same location eventually. I hope it's understood now, and have you tried anything like that when making deliveries yourself?
@@mattiber2558 To clarify, taking multiple delivery missions and selecting the ones that share similar dropoff/pickup points in order to reduce travel time over the course of say, completing 5 in order to unlock the 45k mission? Since then Ive only done them seperately, mostly because once I'd done the 5 to rank up I didnt take the 8k missions again. I hope thats helpful!
Only bugged for me once in a few days of deliveries. Had a few times where the packages themselves would be un-pickup-able, aside from that, a lot more stable that 3.16 (for myself at least)

This is a novelty mission and becomes quickly pain in the ass after doing 10 missions. This is a fun mission you can do if you are bored or want to zen out but surely not something you would want to grind for your next C2 Hercules or even your next Prospector. Don't burn yourself out. Current 3.17 META is bunker missions which gives you good amount of money but is a bit bugged and needs patience. next to that is illegal monitor missions 20k for 5 min and you dont need to land or even enter an atmosphere. It is also bugged but not as much as bunker. Next META is ROC and prospector mining. Stick to these. 3.17 has buffed the AI for bounty a bit so if you are a noob like me, you'd get rekt by them. BOX MISSIONS ARE THE LEAST PAYING MISSIONS IN THE GAME PER HOUR. DON'T DO THIS.
I mean, AI bounty missions are still extremely easy if you do it in an Eclipse or Retaliator like I do. Drop in, torp, drop out. You may say that the payload gets into the potential profits, but over longer periods of time, having to repair, rearm, and lose time possibly getting blown up, the torps start looking much better
I know the more ypu do jobs like these the more contracts ypur gonna get that gives higher pay but are still easy if I remember about the ranking etc tho it's been a while sense I played I'm just getting back into it for like forst time in three or so years while I've still loved it for like 4 years
I never got the dangerous content mission unless maybe I didn't really notice lol. But m 45k missions are starting to glitch now so I tried going back to mining but that's not so successful either - no more quant in the belt it seems lol
I honestly haven't had too many in the past however, Ive also only been running Cargo in 3.17, so theres probably a whole lotta pain waiting for me one I stow the Hull A and get out to everything else 🤣
Altough i get that you want a catchy title for your excellent vid, i would stay clear of making exaggerated claims…. 180k per hour is frankly unrealistic considering the issues in this game, add to that new pilots are overall slower at….everything. No one loves a used car salesman right?

I was casually strolling by a security guard taking my 3rd box to the elevator when he turned on me and shot me in the face .. and then casually resumed his patrol as I faded to black. Next thing I know I wake up in the correction facility mines with a level 3 crime stat!
Any boxes in the last mission you collected can be sold of for credits at "no questions asked terminals"
Cru L5 right. What's the pay for them?
I still like to throw in a few box missions.. great way to explore and get a little loot.
Great video. I love the efforts and easy to understand aspect of your style👏🏾
I appreciate the comment! Im glad you enjoyed the video!
Well aren't you a hidden gem! Thanks my under appreciated fellow citizen
The Pisces is such an amazing little ship!
Great video! Just upgraded to a C8X and was dying to know if the delivery missions were worth it. Looks like it!
No QT missions, great for earning aUEC and doing the housework :)
a) agreed!
b) love your name 🤣
love this well made vid dude just got your self a new sub
You can use the multi tool as a scanner to, just fire it and sweep it around until it hits the package.
Do not forget too loot the bodies and the crates: you can find a lot of expensive items that can be easily sold at any station, often doubling your final income
i never buy armour, weapons or whatever because i just shoot and loot.
pisces is pretty much the best for box missions, cargo will hold pretty enough box and your in/out of the ship is faster and got even bigger fuel tank than any of the other ship you've suggested.
being fuel efficient and all.
I love the pisces and even had the pisces during the time of recording but I honestly don't remember why I didn't mention it 🤣
the problem is ... the second covalex local delivery route always bugged
Done two delivery missions now, both unable to complete. last one made me go to 3 different places & the last one was on a desk, no matter what I tried it would not register it as complete. Feels so rewarding to not get rewarded
Nice Video, thanks!
With 1.17 I have run into an issue where the turrets still try to shoot me down. I found if I do a low flyby, they have their fun with the pot shots but register me as a friendly by the time I swing back around.
I love doing these for some reason lol
I stopped getting delivery missions for a while now. Not sure why.
The only ones that pop up for me are the Gundo station missions (personal effects) around Crusader..
I've also tried other areas (ArcCorp, MicroTech, Hurston)
yeah things have been getting... janky.. for me too lately :(
Bring more than 3 boxes for the 45k missions, there's a bug that don't count some boxes, so you have to fly back to the bunker and take more boxes
The stock arua can put up to six boxs, just a bit harder to get into the pilot sit lol.
Gotta love space tetris
My favorite Delivery mission I have ever done was to simply carry a box from Teasa Spaceport to one of the Lorville gates.
That DOES sound like fun! What ship were you using?
@@BeardofOz one of the rarer ground vehicles in the game: the train
You know, I stared at your reply in confusion for a moment then realised I am so tired atm that I thought Teasa was on MT 😅
What armor were those Ninetails? wearing?
Just an FYI, use small ships with a Ramp. I like the Pisces
When I first started playing Ramped ships had a tendency to explode as you traversed the ramp so i avoided them for a while, bought a Taurus. Luckily the exploding seems rarer now... hope I didnt jinx it...
Accept three out of four times the quest bugs out and you can't deliver or finish the contract.
I just throw my three packages behind my driver seat of my Aurora and that does the job for me lol
Would love doing space deliveries if it wasn't for the fact that every other mission ends in a bug and can't be completed.
Anyone glitch out where the task is marked complete but you never place the package in the vendor?
Not recently, I'll pick up some deliveries today and see if I have the same issue. 3.17 and .1 have brought us some interesting issues as well as the server strain with the influx of players.
increduble quality from a small utuber!
amazon should learn from this!
I dunno... I've thrown packages pretty far with the multitool.. not sure I'd appreciate amazon yeeting my 3am impulse purchases...
Weird, but I cannot get box missons to show up for me when I start... Almost bugged I feel like.
Yeah I've been hearing that a lot lately... 😩
How to play Death Stranding simulator in Star Citizen. A quick guide.
😂😂😂
I love box missions
I use my Pisces
Best ship for box missions
Land right by the building’s ramp/entrance
Even to this day, with all the ships I've flown, I have such a place in my heart for the Pisces. It's the toyota carolla of Star Citizen
I see people in videos talking to people, but I've yet to find a single NPC with Amy dialogue options
Outside the automated trigger set NPCs that talk about stuff at Invictus
Yeah, I like to try on NPCs at desks/counters but so far its been either nothing or some options that are either beverage related or seem placeholdera for a future updated to courier/admin offices.
One day!
@@BeardofOz right? I have very high hopes for this game from what I've seen/played so far
Same here! Hopefully they can get better at steadier updates with less bugs as the years progress!
The nomad is such a great ship
It is such a powerful "starter" ship! Has a bit of everything for most loops. I found myself wishing for a wipe when I first upgraded to it.
Oh really? That must have been before I'd started playing. Kinda silly seeing as that's how the real mail/courier system works...
@@midriffzero That sounds awesome! I hope they bring more mission styles like that in.
@@BeardofOz I'm hoping we see the old box missions make a come back when they redesign the delivery missions with the cargo refactor and Haul C
Every delivery mission I've tried has bugged. Haven't been able to complete a single one. Probably wait for 17.2 to try again.
i have an andromada would but i guess missions like this are ship spcific?
Andromeda is easily more than enough for courier missions!
@@BeardofOz thank you
good guide for only 15 views. keep up the work
Do you think the new Drake Mule will help?
I hope this answer helps!
have you done a video on the illegal cargo route?
The Redwind Courier discreet runs? I did indeed!
If you want to be a dropship pilot this is the job for you. It's a great way to practice getting the Valkyries fat ass onto the deck.
Hovering above arc corp waiting on delivery mission to pop.
... you still have to run the exact same distance from the ship to the package location, and from the location back to the ship, even with a tractor.
Each time i do the last mission i always get shot at, is it a bug?
Can't you make about the same amount of money plus extras in a "destroy narcotics* mission but without the whole running packages part? And not to mention not having to level up the skill tree with tedious underpaying missions. if you're going to do combat anyway, starter merc missions begin at like 12k.
They should add a box mission for 100k, going down a bunker in hurston collecting 3-5 boxes then drop them off somewhere far like microtec into another bunker protected by bad guys.
Yeah I'd definitely like to see another tier for Courier!
Thank you, fellow Nomad owner and box delivery guy, I will start following this stream's advice. Do you also have info on multi box deliveries?
How good is the Nomad?! What kind of info regarding multibox deliveries? Do you mean the 8k jobs or something else?
If yes, Ive successfully done 2 deliveries simultaneously because they shared a dropoff point for 1 box each. I attempted this a second time with friends but sadly It bugged. Since then Ive only done them seperately, mostly because once I'd done the 5 to rank up I didnt take the 8k missions again. I hope thats helpful!
@@BeardofOz Yes , good reasons!
you forgot the cheapest ship of em all, the C8X can store up to 4scu of cargo and has alot of intiorior space for boxes.
Do rare loot boxes spawn on the 45K missions as well as the boxes you are searching for?
I honestly haven't run a 45k since 3.17 so Im unsure! If you happen to find any let us know!
@@BeardofOz I will. Thankyou.
Did you start this of in the arc crop area
Yeah, I had just done a character reset and chosen ArcCorp and thought, 'what the heck I'll try courier again".
@@BeardofOz lovely thank you will give it a shot tonight doing bounty’s over and over again gets a tad to much
So I have been having issues with these missions I thought you weren't supposed to be shot at by the turrets but I 100% do everytime
the only reason this isn't reliable is because 50% of the tike star citizen will not let grab and pick up crates or deposit them
Are the container receptacles buggy much anymore?
Only bugged for me once in a few days of deliveries. Had a few times where the packages themselves would be un-pickup-able, aside from that, a lot more stable that 3.16 (for myself at least)
Been trying to do the 890jump. Almost completed it several times solo without guns (had no guns, too lazy to go comms). But the mission kept glitching and the last NPC can't be found. So much bullshit but at least I got some cool armour and stuff from it.
You gotta give us "the best of shoresy" lines with your aussiness.
I had to google that to see what it was 🤣
This is a novelty mission and becomes quickly pain in the ass after doing 10 missions.
You may say that the payload gets into the potential profits, but over longer periods of time, having to repair, rearm, and lose time possibly getting blown up, the torps start looking much better
wtf you deserve so much more subs
Delivery missions almost always glitch out not worth the time
id love to do them, but i dont think my C2 has enough space
Just keep them right behind the Pilots seat 🤣
The Avenger Warlock is even better, Same ship as Titan, but even faster. If you wanna go crazy, might as well use a 350r.
I know the more ypu do jobs like these the more contracts ypur gonna get that gives higher pay but are still easy if I remember about the ranking etc tho it's been a while sense I played I'm just getting back into it for like forst time in three or so years while I've still loved it for like 4 years
I don't get it. How does this make you money?
I never got the dangerous content mission unless maybe I didn't really notice lol. But m 45k missions are starting to glitch now so I
tried going back to mining but that's not so successful either - no more quant in the belt it seems lol
Hopefully we get a .1 soon with a bit of bugfixing involved!
@@BeardofOz So its not just me thats had horrible bugs doing deliveries? I thought I had crippling luck
I honestly haven't had too many in the past however, Ive also only been running Cargo in 3.17, so theres probably a whole lotta pain waiting for me one I stow the Hull A and get out to everything else 🤣
On my three tries, I went to a security location to do the 45k mission. Got shot. I have bad luck lol
Postal Workers gotta be packin heat these days!
Actually i took 3 boxes into my Aurora, it was buggy ofc but i finished the mission
Ive never flown the Aurora! My first ship was the Titan Avenger. I swear by the Nomad though, such a nice all rounder.
@@BeardofOz aurora is super small. technically no cargo u gota put the dam nthings behind ur seat
you can make 3x doing bunkers and bounties. and more with mining
Altough i get that you want a catchy title for your excellent vid, i would stay clear of making exaggerated claims…. 180k per hour is frankly unrealistic considering the issues in this game, add to that new pilots are overall slower at….everything.
No one loves a used car salesman right?
Courier jobs would be really fun but 90% of the landing pads don’t work for me.
I swear the turrets always shoot at me for some reason on the 45k missions
Turret Hyper Aggression is always on/off so it's always a gamble with Bunkers these days 😅
This game looks crazy
man i must be dumb because i cant even figure out how land ANYWHERE
180k.. that's a bad toll with Prospector. I usually make 275k/30min (sometimes even shorter) with prospector.
Well first you need for those missions to workd, i've literally done 10 missions at first and had all of them bugged which cause me to abandonned them
I use my poor RSI Aurora to make deliveries, because I'm saving for a bigger ship, stonks XD
What ship have you got in your sights?
This was great but you put the ULTIMATE ULTRA MEGA IMPORTANT PRO TIP towards the middles or end of the video....
ALWAYS PARK CLOSE TO THE ENTRANCE.... ALWAYS.
lol
Other than that... Great vid, lol
Glad you enjoyed it!
I got jumped by a hammerhead at my drop on my first delivery mission 🙃
Oh thats rough. Sometimes you'll get caught in the middle of another players bounty 😅
