how to replace stop light on Hyundai i30 2011 4K

Absolutely perfect for my i30 except my stop light is at the bottom with the taillight at the top.
Bought a pair of Narva Bulbs at Bunnings for about 4 dollars and took ne about 10 minutes to do the job.
Mechanic quoted me $45.00 to do this.

I have replaced the bulb but it still doesn't work. The 2 metal parts in the socket are corroded. Do you recommend replacing the socket bulb holder or is it possible to spray electrical contact cleaner and a small wire brush to fix it?
