Amazing piece, Obviously one the most underated songs of all time, not only for the beauty of the lyrics but for the conviction of the performance, thank you Sara!!!
Oh my God breathtaking chill quenching this woman is a phenomenon. Seriously with all these people who say they can sing this woman Hears A Sound and a Clarity and conjunction with a contrast sound unbelievable. I love this woman thank you Sarah for being you
A live performance, and a studio recorded performance by Sara Bareilles are one in the same. Not one person on this earth could argue the difference. I think sentencing people on death row to listening to this song for 6 (hell maybe even 10)hours a day could cleanse one's heart, and give them the moral vision of life lol.
I heard this song for the first time today and thought "What a great voice." She's always been great, I just forgot to keep listening. I love the straightforward singing, no gimmicks, just power. Beautiful!
You do realize what you just experienced. What a gift... and the audience quiet as a mouse. So live ~electrically amplified, but all natural light. Wow! love this girl_ Sara Bareilles
this touched my heart, i feel so vulnerable. I'm at a point in my life where I still struggle motivating myself and convincing myself that I am worth something. This helps me a lot like i cant stop crying
Wow! Am I late for the Party. Well, better late than never. In the last couple of weeks I have been searching for her songs. The more I look the more gems I find. I don’t know what to praise more, her beautiful voice or her fantastic lyrics. This song is absolutely mesmerizing, hauntingly beautiful.
Real artist like Sara never get the credit they're due. You listen to the radio and hear the same 20 pop stars with the same repeated lyrics, if you can call that garbage lyrics. 10 times in a 3 min song, the same line over and over. But teens gobble that 💩 up. So it sells like mad. Give me songs like this any day.
I had a feeling at least one video from the show would be posted this morning. Thanks for uploading it! I had a great time last night watching her live. She was great, as always.
I've heard lots of renditions of this song on TH-cam and this is definitely the best one. The intro draws her and the crowd into the emotion of the song which makes the execution even better. Also her vocals are on point!
Fucking hell, Sara. The woman is perfect. Her words and her singing makes me so emotional. In a beautiful yet depressing way. Nonetheless, I love it. What a stunning performance. Thank you so much for the upload.

Sara has one of the most incredible and beautiful voices I've ever heard 😍😍😍😍😍 and I just love her more each day!!!! Sara you're my idol ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ you are AMAZING
Right on pitch after finishing the Acapella section. By far my favorite singer song writing who I once thought was not as great as Ingrid Michaelson. In my opinion, Sara has eclipsed by keeping the authenticity of here music rather than fall into the formulaic pop song sound which is over produced.
I can't stand the people in the crowd that just have to be heard saying something. Let the artists say what they're going to say and then sing. We don't need to hear every basic white girl saying stuff
The clarity in her tone and sound is absolutely incredible. This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and haunting things I've ever heard.
This was absolutely incredible. I think she and Brandi Carlisle would be a dream come true on tour together. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Her best song. Ever. Without a doubt. Hits me in every emotional place.
Currently obsessed. Happens to me every year or so. The definition of longing for the past. Melancholia.
I literally cry every time I listen to this song ❤️❤️
@@JeannieB42o same. Every time. Even after all these years of listening to it
could listen to this on endless loop… melody is exquisite, lyric is profound and relevant… performance is spot on and compelling… yes please
Currently laying in my bed crying from the angelic tones of Sara Bareilles voice. Tears of joy, of course.
Her most underrated song by far, so incredibly beautiful
OMG. I had to look twice.... we have the same name! I LOVE this song! Absolutely beautiful voice. Peace to you, Mary Wilson!
I just heard it today. I'm from the Philippines.
Amazing piece, Obviously one the most underated songs of all time, not only for the beauty of the lyrics but for the conviction of the performance, thank you Sara!!!

Her voice has more depth than I could handle
When the crowd almost forgets to clap and is silent throughout the whole performance, you know they were transfixed. Sensational.
she's such a great singer and a powerful story teller. She is also pretty damn funny and has a good spirit.
Is she for real? Absolutely stunning. Just when I think I've heard all her stuff, this hidden beauty blooms. Thank you TH-cam. Damn.
I’ve played this song several times in the last two days. How in the world did I not know about this wonderful voice. Just amazing.
check out the copy of her performing this with Ben Folds and Caroline Shaw at The Kennedy Center. So beautiful.
I don't think a song has ever effected me like this. I uncontrollably bursted into tears multiple times.
I finally remembered to breathe afterward. I have to admit very few songs/performances have done that to me in 46 years.

She's incredible... live performance equals studio...

Absolutely incredible voice, perfect tone, vibrato, dynamics. No auto-tune needed here.
"And I'm like 22 now...so..." LOL seen her twice, met her once, she's amazing...
Gosh, I just melt at 6:50. Ominous and absolutely beautiful.
Ominous, THATS the word. 🎶
Collin Carver Aannndd Que the tears...GAH! RIGHT TO THE HEART SPOT!
This performance is absolutely spellbinding. Brilliant.
Amazing performance, perfect combination of vocals and harmonium. A true artist!
You do realize what you just experienced. What a gift... and the audience quiet as a mouse.
So live ~electrically amplified, but all natural light. Wow! love this girl_ Sara Bareilles
I love seeing a performer created to both instruments.
my favorite of all her songs are gravity and this one. no doubt.
this touched my heart, i feel so vulnerable. I'm at a point in my life where I still struggle motivating myself and convincing myself that I am worth something. This helps me a lot like i cant stop crying
Stay strong!

so much depth in every. single. note. i really respect her and think she sounded so beautiful here wow
Wow...this performance fills a rooms with angels
Very few of today's so called... "Artists" could do what she did here. She continues to amaze me.
Still her best live performance of this song imo
Once a day and every time, tears. Beauty exists right here. Freedom exists in such beauty.

Man... Painfully, hauntingly beautiful. I'm sooo in love with this song right now. Can't stop humming it... Her best song to date.
Wow.
the ending of this gets me EV.VE.RY.TIMMEE...

Once upon another time
Somebody's hands who felt like mine
Turned the key and took a drive
Was free
I recall the sun sank low
Buckley on the radio
Cigarette was burning slow
So breathe
Just yellow lines and tire marks
Sun-kissed skin and handle bars
And where I stood was where I was
To be
No enemies to call my own
No porch light on to pull me home
And where I was is beautiful
Because I was free
Once upon another time
Before I knew which life was mine
Before I left the child behind
Be
I saw myself in summer nights
And stars lit up like candle lights
I made my wish but mostly I
Believed
And yellow lines and tire marks
Sun-kissed skin and handle bars
And where I stood was where I was
To be
Once upon another time
Deciding nothing good in dying
So I would just keep on driving
Because I was free

She is truly mesmerizing!
It was magical. I really like listening to her songs until now

Speechless
If I could go back in time I would've been at that show to her this live.
How can she go THAT high??? HOLY SHIT
WOW
Just Devine.
just wow. fucking WOW.
HHHHHOW does she ever get through that 3rd verse without crying?
My favorite song. I'm going to get a tattoo of yellow lines and tire marks, at some point!
Right on pitch after finishing the Acapella section. By far my favorite singer song writing who I once thought was not as great as Ingrid Michaelson. In my opinion, Sara has eclipsed by keeping the authenticity of here music rather than fall into the formulaic pop song sound which is over produced.
What is that she is playing? Some kind of organ I suppose but what’s it called? Anyone know??
Harmonium.
can someone upload a version of this that starts at 1:24 and cuts off before the applause? so I can loop it... and leave it playing all afternoon...
I will sing this to my grand babies when I rock them. I'm like, 38, so I know what that will be like
What is that drone-type instrument called?
Harmonium
She's called Sara Bareilles
Ridiculous! Absolutely ridiculous!!!
Children on their birthdays
I wish she is my future wife 😊
Incandecent!

down vote for commercials.
I didn't put them in there, Deb. Bame her label and TH-cam.
Deb, you're an idiot. Like he said, he has no control over that stuff and they make more than 1 kind of add on to block that kind of nonsense anyway.
@@Goosee9 It is YOUR video and you want me to blame the label and TH-cam? 🤣
@@DebHenry I've got no control over it. You either get commercials or you don't get the video. Not my choice and not my reimbursement.

Meh.
???????????????
Absolutely genuine and incredibly beautiful.
