- The Alpine Circuit at Lake O'Hara is considered by many the most scenic day hike in the Canadian Rockies, or at least - one of the top three.
Locations in the video (first appearance, if many): Lake O'Hara (0:05), Wiwaxy Gap (1:11), Huber Ledges Alpine Route (1:28), Lake Oesa (1:44), Victoria Lake (2:23), Lefroy Lake (2:30), Victoria Falls (2:32), Yukness Ledges (2:50), Hungabee Lake (3:06), Opabin Lake (3:11), Mary Lake (3:43), Schaffer Lake (4:59), Seven Veils Falls (5:18).
The access to Lake O'Hara is restricted to several Parks Canada buses daily that must be booked 3 months ahead. If you cannot book the shuttle bus, you can walk 11 km / 7 mi to Lake O'Hara, and after hiking the trail to take the shuttle back (no preliminary booking necessary). This is what we had to do in order not to miss this extraordinary trail.

I did the 3 day camping trip in August of 2015, then went elsewhere in the park for another two days. this was by far, by FAR, the greatest hiking trip I've ever done. I regularly think about it. I've heard it said from many people- this area is lifechanging. You'll really never forget it!!
Visited Lake O'Hara Lodge about 30 years ago, Still the most majestic vacation I have ever had. Hope to get back there again before I die.

Yoho National Park is an underrated gem in BC ! Whistler gets all the attention and I can't figure out why .... their is no comparison! Yoho has superior beauty as well as Mount Robson provincial Park. The mountain peaks & glacier lakes are the best in the world! Jasper & Banff Alberta too !
The Alpine Circuit. When I see images from it, or the blue and yellow blaze, my spine tingles. An amazing suite of trails!

Just watched all of your videos. Incredible collection. Making me very envious of the places you have been. You have a steady hand and some of your 4K videos are outstanding. We are going to the Canadian Rockies this June and plan on doing Lake O'Hara. Will be reserving the shuttle bus in April. We can't wait. If only we had the time to do the Berg Lake trail. Ahhhh! Yes, try to reserve the bus, otherwise you will have to add extra 11 kilometers to the trail, as we did (it was not an option to skip this extraordinary trail).
And if you do Berg, plan for camping one night.

This is amazing! We also didn't get spots on the bus so we will have to walk the fire road as well - how early do you suggest we start to catch the last bus home?
We got on the 6pm bus to go back, and we started at the time the first bus left for the lake (I think that was 8:30 am), because we were hoping to find vacant spot. Leaving earlier will give you more time to enjoy the hike, and make sure on the day of the hike you are already in good shape, for us that was third day of hiking

We had the luck to get Bus Tickets and we will be there in September 2019. Lake O'Hara and the area is the place that we are looking out for the most on our Tour. We will not be able to make the full alpine circuit but my most desired Spot is on the Huber ledges trail... We want to hike up to the opabin Plateau and then to lake oesa via the yukness ledges trail. What do you think while having first Hand experiences on the Huber ledges trail: is this Part if the alpine circuit from lake oesa up to wiwaxy gap hard and challenging or is it not that hard compared to the hike from lake O'Hara up to the wiwaxy gap? we want to walk up there and then back to lake oesa...
I am travelling now and unfortunately I cannot check the parts of the trails. We did the full circuit plus we had to hike the bus path, as we didn't have tickets and then we did the full circuit, the good part is we could take the bus back without ticket

hello, may I ask some question...was that a multi days trip? did you camp in the park?
It is very hard to get into the area, as they reduce the number of the visitors. You can camp or do dayhike. For the dayhike you need a bus to take you 11 km to the trailhead. The bus tikets are available 3 months ahead and get sold out in a second. We had to walk to the trailhead to do the hike, this is one of the top dayhikes in the world
For more details search online, it should be explained very well on Canada Parks website, things might have changed since I visited

me parece muy bien tus vídeos ya que dan una sensación o coneccion con la naturales aunque preferiría el audio original pues se apreciarían mejor tusnvideos aunque solo se escuche la brisa o el viento y no digo que todos pero algunos de tus vídeos se apreciarían aun mas espero aguas un encuesta con tus suscriptores
