Hi, I just made my first pair of jeans from a self-drafted pattern based on a store-bought pair I already own. Thank you so much for your helpful and easy-to-follow videos and blog posts! They really made my jeans look more "store-bought"!
I do like denim with a little bit of stretch, but just 1-2% Lycra for comfort, unless I do skinny jeans then more is needed. I find that too too much Elastine changes the hand of the fabric and I prefer a more natural feel
Hi! I am getting into sewing jeans and I find my domestic sewing machine has difficulty with the layers of fabric. Could you please recommend sewing machines that handle denim fine? Thanks.
Thank you for mentioning pocket placement. I recently made my husband a pair of jeans - my first ever - and I couldn't come up with any way to make them even. We finally figured nobody ought to be looking that closely at his butt, anyhow.
Yep, it's tricky because due to the stitching and seam not being 100% in the middle, there will always be a slight asymmetry happening, but we never notice that on RTW jeans unless we measure, as you say no one looks that close anyways 😊

That topstitching looks SO good, and I love the tip about sewing the pocket on in one continuous stitch
Yes it really simplifies a lot, plus more durable too!

Excellent tutorial, as always! Do you have a preference, stretch denim or non-stretch for your jeans?

I want to learn international standard measurements for classic men's pants and men's shirts, is that possible?

Are you able to do the same exact steps onto a pair of joggers?
Whats the stitch length (size) for pocket continuous stitch ? Thx
