    Finally I´ve got the solution from you! Think this will be great for a insulin pump and putting an rubber band behind. The ones I buy does not last that long. Think this would be cheaper and stronger. Thank you Amy!

      I was wondering the same thing

      Yes, you can! That's a great question so let me explain the different types of snaps and their use cases.
      So there are only two different sizes of snaps I use - Size 20's and Size 20 Extra Long. This project (the Mini Purse) and the Mini Photo Album Keychain from earlier in my Holiday Event uses Size 20 Kam Snaps. They are used when the snap is going onto one layer of faux leather only so the post is a standard size.
      The other size of snap is also a Size 20, but they are called "Extra Long" because the post is longer. They are used for the snap going through two or three layers of faux leather and you need the longer post so the snap will close. An example of a project here on my channel that uses extra long snaps is the card wallet project from my summer event. You can see that one here: th-cam.com/video/UZso1LMdr28/w-d-xo.html
      I hope that helps!

      Hi, Elizabeth! I just answered this question for the original poster, but I wanted to share the answer with you, too:

      @ thanks Amy. I did that project earlier this year so I have a bunch of the extra long snaps. Can’t wait to make this adorable purse.

    Very cute! When licensed to sell, how much would they sell for at craft events?

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, Cassandra! It really depends on where you are selling (craft markets or online) and your area. I would search on Etsy for a comparable product to start and see what you find in terms of pricing. It also depends on if the inside of the purse and handle are lined with HTV, and what kind of quality faux leather using - you'll be able to charge more based on those factors. :)

    Hi Amy, will the photo wallets fit inside this purse for gift giving?

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, Patricia! I just checked on that for you and unfortunately they don't. You may be able to enlarge the purse pattern just slightly (maybe 3/4 of an inch more on the width, an inch would be better) and try it that way. :) You can cut the patterns from paper first to be sure!

    I was just curious. If you flipped the faux leather upside down on cutting mat, wouldn’t it be correctly oriented?

    • @AmyRomeu
      @AmyRomeu  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! Since the pattern has a back and two flaps that fold over - either the back is right side up and the flaps are upside down, or the reverse. So you can flip the faux leather, yes. but you still won't have all three elements right side up. I hope that makes sense!
