In the early 2000's I was always looking for vampire books or anything similar to the Anita Blake series, and Sherrilyn Kenyon would pop up so much. She must have written 5646413 books and they are all basically smut with different creatures that look like Fabio. You may have hit the smut/monster romance jackpot with that author. I love those bear/skunk pouches. That art style is adorable.
I found Primal Law on libby because navy seal team as shifters?! My attention was instantly snagged lmao. So im excited to start that series next year!

Oh I love her Parasol Protectorate series! It is a wild series and so fun. The Custard series you picked up I believe is like a sequel series to that series, but it has been a hot minute since I read the other series and may be misremembering.
I am obsessed with the Alien books, The Cold Forge and Into Charybdis are the best ones haha I suggest reading The Cold Forge first since Into Charybdis is a very loose sequel. The books are all by different authors, so they are all hit and miss, but those 2 are the best. The Cold Forge is all from the perspective of Wayland employees and has a disabled badass trans MC. One of my favorite books of all time. No lie the novelization books are the weakest of the bunch.
I wound up DNFing Hot and Badgered - but it was not because it was bad at all. It was actually LOT of fun, but it wasn't what I was looking for. It is not really romance as the primary plot, it's much more an action that has romance in it. As long as you're into that, you're going to have a great time with it!!
