@AmbrossFitzgerald no. if he didn't tell it or he forgot it then no one would have heard it so i understand he has tons of stories like that but, I'm talking about the fact him and others say that line, but if you have listened to their many interviews throughout the years they generally said the story somewhere. It may not have been a big platform, or it could be in a magazine, or a passing conversation bet they have particular stories not only him but others stick to and that's OK. Saying that line kind of gives the interviewer and listeners a feel that he's giving them an exclusive but if you've listened to him throughout the years he's probably said it somewhere. It's like that for many athletes on podcasts now. Shaq, LeBron, CP3, Gilbert Arenes and others. They tend to say the same talking points, stories and things like that from time to time because either they know it's a valid story that doesn't need to be vetted by anyone, it's a safe story that doesn't implement anyone negatively, it's a universally good story, it's a story that bolsters a particular view or it's a story that gives a particular insight that many wouldn't see only from a player perspective (behind the curtain). It's all a part of proper media training. If you go out there telling random wild stuff things tend to viral but for the wrong reason so they play it safe.
Man this goes toe to toe with the John Wall Episode and thats one of the best pods ever imo. Also congrats Theo on making it to what sounds like a good mental place with your playing career
So many NBA players including hall of famers talk about how D Rose was one of the most gifted basketball players they’ve ever seen but many non NBA players such as fans, the average human being, non athletes, not professionals say that Rose is washed, not a hall of famer. Who would y’all rather listen to? No other player was just as explosive and gifted like D Rose. I don’t think people understand how great he was. He won an MVP at age 22, which is unheard of nowadays, and won that MVP in a league where Kobe, Lebron, Dwight, KD, DWade, Melo were in. D Rose would’ve been the best point guard in NBA history if healthy.
That’s why it’s a difference between real BASKETBALL fans and casual fans/media. Casuals now don’t study the game but want there opinion to be valuable as someone who watch the game 15-20+ years. I’m 29 but I’ve watch basketball since I was 6-7 years old. I actually still remember MJ in the wizard jersey. I still remember Kobe and Shaq. I still remember the 04 Piston. I remember the Spurs of the 00s. I remember TMac and Yao… all that to say I have to have conversation with people who only watch LBJ, specifically in his Miami days, tell me they know more ball and my thinking of the game is old. I only laugh cause it’s ignorance and to think you know the game more than someone who watch 20+ years and played 13 years is hilarious to me. Than after I tell them my thought process they come back and say “you was right!” Like duh. I’ve seen MANY greats and can almost pinpoint immediately who the talent/superstar or all star will be.
i’m a huge jamal crawford fan. modeled my game after him back when I was in high school and he was on the knicks. I see JCrossover, I click the video. That being said, I never realized how laid back and cool Theo is. You earned a sub! Congrats on completing your NBA dream. You seem like you’re tailor made for the podcast game. 💪🏽
Jamal should be a hall of famer. His numbers alone put him in consideration, but I hope the committee also considers his cultural impact on the game. It's not the NBA hall of fame it's the BASKETBALL hall of fame. He redefined and proved the importance of the 6th man for all skill levels.
Shout out to Jamal. Took it upon himself to preserve pro-level basketball in Seattle after we lost the Sonics. And giving game and the blueprint to all the young guys. Seattle icon for sure!
Jamal "i never told this story" Crawford
Dead ass 😂😂😂😂😂

@@d.felixphoto2260if you believe Jamal Crawford told every story he got your crazy there’s prolly hundreds of stories he either forgot or didn’t tell
