I think you can tweak the transparent depth / bounces independently to the others. So possibly you don't need the others so high?
I still need to figure out if its transparent or volume bounces. I’ll test this independently in my future sims.
This looks really awesome! I would like to know how long time the simulation took to bake as well as knowing each frame took 5 mins to render. The complete time put into this on a laptop must be nuts. Great work my guy!
Thanks so much! It’s actually not that bad. Entire sim setup took about an hour (Thanks to RBDLab addon). Another hour for couple of iterations. The smoke simulation at 512 resolution took around 4 hours or so and render was almost overnight. I ran my Predator in turbo mode the whole time and I’m glad it was able to handle it very well. 🙂
