    Is it possible to put two of these together for a larger tree? I assume because its a zipper mechanism that you could zip each of them together.

    • @TreegatorBags
      @TreegatorBags 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yes ! When watering a tree from 4 to 8 inches in trunk diameter, you can zip two bags together back-to-back around the trunk to create a Double Bag setup!

    Do you have to use it with a tree? Let's say i stick a pole into the ground with this bag. Then plant some plants around this in a circle.

    can you add fertilizer or do you sell anything that will release thru the holes?

    • @TreegatorBags
      @TreegatorBags 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes! You can absolutely add water-soluble fertilizers, nutrients, etc. into either model Treegator® bag. Ideally, you'll want to pre-mix the nutrient/fertilizer/stimulant in a separate container before adding them to your bag, as failing to premix your preferred additive may cause clogging of the drip holes. When done properly, this is a great way to feed and water your tree at the same time!

    Do you sell any tree bags that will take 3-4 days to empty instead of 5-9 hrs. I am trying to grow blueberries about an hour away from where I live so 5-9 hrs is of no help. I can water it before I leave but it may be 4-5 days before I can get back there because of my schedule.

      Thank you for your comment. The Treegator® Original and Treegator® Jr. Pro Slow Release Watering Bag are the only models we manufacture and sell. Please note that the basic idea behind a Treegator® Bag is not necessarily to water as LONG as possible - instead, it is designed to water as DEEP as possible, without wasting any water (or time) in the process.
      A Treegator® Slow Release Watering Bag delivers water deep below the soil surface with no run-off - every time. Essentially, this means that even though the bag is empty in approximately 5 to 9 hours, there is a high concentration of moisture deep within the entire soil profile that your new tree or shrub can feed on - potentially for several days. This is why for many new tree plantings, (i.e. 1" - 2" caliper) you may only need to fill a Treegator® Bag once every 5 to 7 days.

    My new Treegator Bag appears to have no bottom in which to hold the water. The bag is zipped around the new tree and when looking down through top of the bag, all I see is the tree trunk and then the mulch which surrounds the tree at the bottom. Does anyone have any ideas might help?

    • @TreegatorBags
      @TreegatorBags 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hello and thank you for your question. It may be that you are attempting to place your hose behind your Treegator® Original Bag (green), instead of inside it. Please make sure that you are inserting your hose into the fill opening at the top of the bag - you will need to lift up the color tag to expose/view the fill opening.
      After inserting the hose into the fill opening located underneath the tag, turn on your water supply and fill the bag to approximately 1/4 full. Then, gently lift up on the black straps to fully expand the bottom of the bag (you can do this with the hose still inside the bag filling it with water). Resume filling to desired quantity, remove the hose and let empty. It should take approximately 5 to 9 hours for the bag to completely empty - repeat this procedure once every 5 to 7 days, or as needed. (Note: May take up to 24 hours for the bag to completely empty)

    Great instructions. It would be better to acknowledge your spouse or insolent teenager off screen turning the water on and off. This could add humor and show that you recognize that you did not in fact turn that hose off.
