Is the air filter element washable or do you have to replace it when it is dirty ?
Does it need a rain sock ?
It is washable/reusable. Use warm soapy water, rinse, dry re-oil and hit the road. With the teardrop style cover you shouldn't need a rain sock.
I ordered that exact air cleaner, will this fit on the 2018 Softail Lowrider? It's the same engine right? So I'm pretty confident it would.

On my 114 M8, with the mini teardrop, I get oil drips from the breathers, with the original size teardrop there are no oil drips. I reakon with the mini teardrop element being exposed, the air inside the filter gets tossed around a fair bit, pulling the oil with it. With the classic full-size teardrop, the air is pulled from the rear near the heads. From the rear, the air is fed into the throttle body more smoothly, taking the oil mist with it instead of being tossed around all over the place. I have switched between the mini and classic on many rides and situations, and the classic is always clean inside, where the mini always has lots of oil inside. In case anyone is interested, there's no difference in performance between the two.
Is there any benefit to the mini teardrop over the traditional teardrop. I see the mini has many vents running along it whereas the full size one does not. Does that change air flow? Thanks!
The flow basically the same. I prefer the mini just because of the reduced size.

Why does H-D insist on mixing metric in with standard sizes? No wonder they are on the verge of loosin it.
Do I need to do any adjustment to the computer ? for increased air flow or anything like that?
It definitely helps to add a fuel controller and make adjustments to the fuel curve any time you increase airflow.
I'm lost as to wear the breather bolt vents this way ?
Pretty standard breather set up for this type of AC. Hollow bolt with a perpendicular hole drilled where it passes through the backing plate. The backing plate is cast with passages that align with the hollow bolts to feed the breather air back behind the filter element.
I was going to buy screaming eagle air ventilator I like how it sits close to engine I have forwards, but not sure which is better performance wise this or the SE? Also bought s&s super street exhaust. If anyone could help me figure this out that be awesome.
